I am getting these blackouts too in non vr. A huge black square blocking up to 80% of the screen. I see someone above has mentioned turning off mirrors which I’ll try but I kept mirrors on as when you flick them over instead of seeing the back of the mirror you still get a mirror but with odd reflections!

Thanks guys I guess if I wasn't on 'AOA' then the hook wouldn't catch anyway so makes sense. Almost seems too good to be true that the error is with the software and not me but hey I'll take it....! @mods can you lock thread now before someone tells me otherwise

Fortunately no other errors but I always get marked down for a 3 point landing. Can anyone tell me why this is bad and what I can do to avoid it? I'm always on glideslope '0' for the groove and landing and everything else is ok.

People need to find a technique that suits them. Clearly the advice in this thread works well for some but didn’t do a thing for me. Watching 3-4 YouTube videos on takeoff they all say the same thing which is very different to this thread. Worked first time for me and consistently too. No trim other than rudder set. Brakes on, power to 18 bar, release brakes and take off at 120mph.

Can anyone tell me if the Normandy map brings additional missions for the mosquito? I have the channel map.

Well I’m glad it’s not just me! I don’t think I need help getting the bird into the air as I used to be able to do it without issue and I still can do it without issue when taking off from runway in a mission but when I do a cold start she is all over the runway and I have no hope of leaving this earth. Is this a bug following recent patch or is it an error on my part (something to do with straight tail wheel?)

I had this too (disappearing bombs). I set both nose and tail fuses and then they went off!

The wheel chocks aren’t available ‘visually’ but are ‘there’ yes you can roll forward with them on but you can’t turn left or right.

Ok well it’s now working:) I don’t know if it was the hot fix or what Art J suggested above but it’s magically fixed and I now have comms and can cold start the Mossie! Thanks everyone for your suggestions

I’m not quite sure what you mean but our gameplay options pages are the same in terms of what’s ticked.

Thanks to all for their continued help. I haven't fiddled with the left hand side radio but did compare its 'state' to the one in the training mission and no changes to note in switch position. Thankyou yes I have. Oddly the tutorial won’t progress unless you actually mouse click the window as opposed to opening it using a mapped button but tutorial will allow other elements to be mapped to a control and progress. Thankyou. I press a mapped button or the keyboard command (right alt and # I think) for comms push to talk and then the menu usually pops up. I do that with hornet all the time with no issues. On the Mossie it seems like I’m pushing a button which clicks but nothing happen almost like I’ve forgotten to turn electrics on first.

Thanks. Yes I made the airbase blue but this isn’t a case of greyed out comms it’s no comms text at all. The button when pushed registers a sound like pressing the button on an object with no power just a click. Yes I’ve enabled the power and even the magnetos but unlike training module I just get nothing. I’d love some greyed out text lol!

Hi all Just signed up. Over 100 hours in the hornet so I just about know the basics (lol) but struggling in Mosquito. I can successfully cold start the Mossie every time in the training module and understand the process. If I try and cold start the Mossie on say the Channel Map when I press the push to talk button or use the keyboard shortcut I get a clicking noise register when I push to talk but the text options on upper right hand side of screen do not appear. They are not greyed out they just don’t appear. So I can’t prime the engine and start the plane. Any thoughts!
