CBA. What’s the point? It still needs patching.
-
Wasn’t the Quest 3 at version 63 from release? If so, it possibly was a version that didn’t break DCS. You may still be online for the update that will break DCS. Sometimes it’s taken more than a month from the start of roll out until my headset gets the update as they release in batches.

Except I have a quest pro and I’m the one who reported the fault. Now either meta didn’t include the change in the general release, or something else is at foot. Either way, I’m not upgrading to v63 until ED releases a patch. All this conjecture is somewhat pointless as ED has identified the issue and a fix is being tested. So it’s not a matter of if but when.

These don’t work with PC. They’re for use with phones and tiktok.

It does work. It takes practice. Fine tuning the settings helps a lot. By narrowing the field of view I can use the physical mouse without using the sleep/wake function.

No short cut. But you can move your hand up and above your head to disable the hand tracking. Then do the same again to enable it. You can also play around with the field of view tracking area so when you move your hand out of that field of view, it no longer moves the mouse cursor. I can send you my configuration settings later when I’m home if you like as I had to adjust the FOV settings to make it so that I could use a physical mouse as well as hands.

Don’t use the options in DCS. You just use HTCC and it will emulate a mouse. Take a look at the HTCC wiki again.

They issue it in phases. You’ll get it sooner or later.

On its own no. You’ll need something else to track the hands. This only emulates mouse button clicks. Leapmotion make a device that can track hands.

So you will also understand that it isn't always possible or appropriate to divert team members from other activities to generate patches. Regardless, this question was not directed to you.

I was referring to a hot fix availability.

I guess you don't work in the software industry.

It’s not enough to rename the folders. You have to create two files to replace the folders you renamed. This blocks the oculus updater from using the staging folders as they’re now files.

Look through your dcs.log. There’s probably a clue in there about which vr api it’s using.
-
And you are not going through Steam?

You could have it aswell though. n+1 rule

If it has it rolled back automatically then you’re now on the general release and stuck. Switch over to SteamVR while you wait for the fix from ED.

Cool. I have the battery life-time up to over 18 hours. It’s likely to last longer but for sure that’s plenty! I haven’t been able to get the device to read the battery voltage despite going by the book on this. There’s a few discussions on the web that indicate that seeed have used the wrong pin to read the voltage of the battery. So the I currently can’t send the predicted battery status indication over Bluetooth. I’ve modified the design to use a 5-way hat switch and created a cookie hat for it. Next I’m going to try to create a cover for the board which for me won’t be easy as I’ve only just started to learn 3D CAD modelling.
