  1. I use touchscreen mode. You should check to see if you have lost the Bluetooth connection to that device. I think it's operating in a low-power transmission mode, so the range is probably low, especially if you are not using a Bluetooth antenna connected to your PC; this is another reason why I switched to C++, as the libraries provide control over the transmission power level of the device. Do you mean hand tracking or losing button emulation? The headset and the HTCC control hand tracking. It has nothing to do with the ring. Maybe you disabled the hand tracking? You can do this by moving your hand above your head. Typically, you would hear a "beep boop" to indicate that hand tracking is off. You put your hand above your head again to turn it back on. It's best to contact Fred Emmott on his discord server for HTCC support: https://discord.gg/H84YJKVF
  2. The first pair is built—well, almost. I'm still waiting for the crimp pliers and crimps to put a connector on the battery. They'll probably arrive on Monday and then I'll be able to do the final testing.
  3. For complete wireless, you may be able to get a battery pack that mounts on the headset or put it on your belt.
  4. Yes, you can do this. It is probably best to use the wall charger that came with the headset, as it will probably deliver much higher power than your PC USB-C can. I bought a second Meta wall charger to keep the headset charged and kept the original to charge the hand controllers. The headset will still discharge, and maybe more so whilst using WiFi for VD.
  5. If you fly single-player, you can set up your machine's Wi-Fi as a hotspot and connect the headset directly to the machine. Wi-Fi6 is necessary to provide enough bandwidth via WiFi to the headset.
  6. I will setup a Facebook page and/or discord server for more information soon.
  7. HTCC will give you control over the mouse cursor. It can also provide mouse clicks via pinch gestures. I can't remember what the DCS hand tracking is like, as I turned it off almost as quickly as I turned it on! Then I switched to HTCC and haven't looked back.
  8. I thought you might like a progress update. The design is complete! I'm just waiting on some JST crimp connectors and a pair of crimp pliers to add a connector to the battery. I'm hoping they will arrive on Friday or Saturday. I will then be able to build the first "SLUGMOUSE." I can't wait, but at the same time, I need a few days' break as I have been burning the candle at both ends to ensure the project is complete this week! Considering I bought my first 3D printer a month ago and had to learn CAD design from scratch, it's been incredibly frustrating and rewarding; quite the rollercoaster!
  9. I can't say I have noticed that. Are you using HTCC for Oculus to DCS hand tracking?
  10. As with most things in life, there is rarely a solution that suits everyone. I have seen one guy put a wooden board up as a panel that he could touch while using pointctrl to steady his hand. As for a scroll wheel, again, it's a trade-off of form and functionality. I have added a faster button press repeat if the up or down button is held down. Users can also hold down a button and move their hand up or down to scroll quicker, like a normal mouse.
  11. Ok. There are two power hogs. Leds and bluetooth transmission. You could turn off the leds once connected. And also, I found the voltage monitor didn’t work so you could disable that too as I think it is reading the voltage (but that doesn’t work in Seed’s circuit python board library) and transmitting it on every go around the loop. Those two should massively increase battery lifetime. One of the reasons I switched to C++ was to get the battery voltage monitor working.
  12. I'm sorry, I do not intend to at this time. I have had to rewrite the code in C++ from the ground up to achieve my goals. Thus, it isn't the same language as used in the original design, so the deployment method is also different. Is there anything about the original code that doesn't meet your needs?
  13. Maybe a good idea for the OP to update his post with links to the solutions etc. That's if he wants to be helpful. Alternatively... hold on until the 4th when ED expect to release the patch. In the meantime, to run in pancake mode, ensure you don't have any command line options in your shortcut to DCS and check your options.lua file in your "saved games\dcs\config" folder and set VR > enable to false.
  14. It's as though they've nothing else in life to do. Nonetheless, it's good for ED to know that the addiction is strong.
  15. How am I being rude? I've not called names. I've been nothing but polite about this matter. It's a civil discussion as far as I can see.
  16. I'm not far off finishing this pointctrl alternative. It's been fully redesigned from the ground up. The software is done. The battery will last days without needing a recharge, which should take about an hour. It will now hibernate when not used for a while, say 15 minutes, and can be woken by pressing the middle button. Battery status is available via the Bluetooth devices in Windows. Perhaps another week to finish. I think I will christen it the "Slugmouse".
  17. Lol. If you care to check, I raised this issue more than a month before you did. Take a look at the 7th post in this thread and check the date. So you can probably guess that I have been following this with utmost interest and know of all the workarounds, three of which I provided. My point is that there is no need to keep searching for solutions, posting misinformation etc etc. It's not helping people who come here for help to wade through all the quagmire of bluff and bluster. Plenty of workarounds exist already. ED have fixed it, it's now just a matter of waiting for the testing of the full release to be completed before it's issued to all of us - which I expect will be days not weeks away.
  18. It is part of the testing process and they were informed as soon as the PTC version (public test channel/beta) of the Oculus Link app was released which caused the incompatibility. For whatever internal reasons they have, commercial, resources, etc., ED is unable to provide a hotfix. The next DCS release appears to be pretty soon as ED is just waiting for the nod from QA to release it.
  19. I think that --force_dsiable_VR isn't an option that DCS recognises. So as you had removed --force_enable_VR, DCS defaulted to the in-game settings. So if you didn't have VR enabled in the in-game settings it just launched into 2D as though you didn't have any command line options. Yes, I know. I meant I won't update the Oculus software until the DCS patch is released.
  20. Yes, me! I had the issue with v63 PTC and reported it in early Feb to ED. The threads have been merged so much now that this seems to have been lost. I am not upgrading from V62 until I am told it is fixed by ED.
  21. I doubt they were unaware that Meta headsets make up 50% of the VR headset sales globally. What matters is the ratio of Meta VR users to other users of 2D, pimax, HP etc. I expect we are massively outnumbered by 2D users. That's not to say we are not important to ED though. If you had selected the F-16 or F-18, you'd have no time for the other ladies.
