  1. If all the selected external tanks are empty, you'll get a master caution and a warning panel light indicating external fuel empty. This gets a little tricky if you select both the center and wing fuel pylons and one pylon has a larger tank. In that case, just select one at a time, center or wing.
  2. Aviation Soft cams (soft center) were installed by default in my GF3. I also have the 200mm extension and use something like #50 + #20 (or #30?) springs on each axis, with the base solidly mounted to my cockpit. The spring swap is fairly easy and straightforward. The base is clearly designed to be disassembled and reassembled by the end-user.
  3. It kinna sounds like you just had a bag on previously? Granted I've only been flying the Tiger since late 2021, but I only noticed the supersonic wall with at least one bag. With nothing but sidewinders, it'll happily do 1.4 around FL360 in level flight, no dive required. I also make sure to jettison the center pylon whenever I jettison the center bag by holding down the jettison selected button until I hear two clicks. I don't know if this actually reduces drag but I imagine it can't hurt.
  4. This was me trying to open the menu so I could turn on ground power and ground air supply. It previously worked fine but I don't remember exactly when, probably a couple months ago. I have no mods installed and I never installed any mods previously. I do have SRS running and it was connected when I originally encountered this issue. I tried unbinding and rebinding the Radio 1 HOTAS button (hat switch down) I use that is equivalent to "RAlt + \" in DCS to no avail. This is different from my Radio 1 PTT button (hat switch forward) in the Tomcat, which I have bound in SRS, and in DCS as the SRS button IIRC. I have the same Radio 1 button (hat switch down, same bind as "RAlt + \") bound on planes like the Hornet and it works fine there. The Tomcat has always behaved a little differently with SRS than other planes so maybe there's some weirdness going on there. My SRS binds are: hat press in: PTT hat fore: radio 1 select hat aft: radio 2 select DCS radio binds hat down: radio 1 (same as "RAlt + \") hat up: radio 2 In the Tomcat, rather than select radio 1, hat fore will instead transmit, and hat press in does nothing. I'm pretty sure this still worked fine even after in-game voice was introduced. I have not used in-game voice to date.
  5. I'm experiencing this too. Go to Instant Action -> F14 -> Cold Start Press "RAlt + \" but no comms menu appears Press "\" but no comms menu appears Press "RAlt + \" after pressing "\" and comms menu appears Press "RAlt + \" again but comms menu stays open Press "\" and comms menu closes In short: Comms menu open: "\", then "RAlt + \" Comms menu close: "\"
  6. I noticed this only a couple times but I'm unsure of the circumstances. Most of the time it seems to work fine for me. I always do manual startup and the fuel autobalance "left low" is one of the first switches I hit after battery on, along with the center pylon fuel switch. I typically then rearm with a center 150gal tank and two 9p5s while the left engine is starting. I don't think I ever saw this issue while using this procedure. I always hit the switch with the mouse too, although recently I bound it to my HOTAS. I will try to keep an eye on it.
  7. Honestly I was pretty overwhelmed the first couple times I tried DCS too. It wasn't until I had someone personally walk me through things that I finally started getting the hang of it. Now I play multiple nights a week, solo or with friends, and I like to think I'm fairly competent. Perhaps you can find a community to get involved with and ask someone to do the same for you, just walk you through setup, basic procedures, basic knowledge, etc.?
  8. Oxygen Diluter Lever - Down/Decrease Oxygen Diluter Lever - Up/Increase RWR Indicator Control POWER Button (maybe? I keep having to click it with the mouse even after using the bind) There may be others too, these are just the ones I noticed. Even with the default keyboard binds, you have to be extremely quick to get the desired behavior. If you hold the bind down for even a split second too long, the control (e.g. diluter lever) toggles back and forth rapidly until you release the bind.
  9. I ran into this today in multiplayer in the latest Open Beta. My F-14A was damaged and the gear didn't extend normally, so I had to emergency extend it. That at least got the gear down. I landed and managed to differential brake off the runway onto the taxiway, then repaired. After repairs finished, I still didn't have NWS. It was a bit frustrating after waiting for the repair and also running through the startup with my human RIO.
