First of, the mod, models and original post on ED'S user file is from @denissoliveira The mod can be found here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3332396/ The mod in it's current version is only a graphic mod and is not a functioning AAR probe. denissoliveira was not able to have the F-5 communicate with the tanker. I have manage to make it communicate by adding the following to the F-5E-3.lua file: tanker_type = 2, -- Tanker type if the plane is airrefuel capable is_tanker = false, air_refuel_receptacle_pos = {4.761657, 0.829126, 0.824903}, And this to the comm.lua file included in the F-5E-3 mods folder: utils.verifyChunk(utils.loadfileIn('Scripts/UI/RadioCommandDialogPanel/Config/Common/Tanker.lua', getfenv()))(6) Now the F-5 can communicate with the tanker, have the drogue extend, but the tanker do not recognize the contact and therefor do not start the fuel transfer. null If anyone knows what would be the next step, please let us know so we can finally have a AAR capable F-5E-3 in DCS!! -
Enigma's Dynamic Cold War Campaign PVP/PVE Server The purpose of this server is to provide a dynamic campaign server that is set in the cold war that is accessible and avoids frustrating mechanics. The focus is air to air and air to ground activities. Some highlights: -PVP/PVE with a dynamic frontline that moves in real time and does not require a server reset for it to move. -Overlord GCI Bot -Curated Equipment set in Early-to-Mid Cold War -All WVR Fighting no FOX-3 missiles and a focus on iron bombs and unguided rockets with some air-to-surface missiles. -There will be an abundant of helicopter missions that do not focus around slinging but are more about having an impact on the frontline. -There will be strategic targets that impact the frontline movement. The problem described in the linked topic is still happening in the latest open beta of DCS. The F-5s Tacan just seems to freeze randomly after a while and needs to be reset by turning the Tacan off and back on, otherwise the needles just won't move anymore.

Buenos días Pilotos. Hemos ampliado la AGAV con una nueva carrera aeronaval, si te gusta el Harrier. Este post es para aquellos pilotos que sienten devoción por el Ejército del Aire español y las Fuerzas Armadas en general. Nosotros en el EAV (Ejército del Aire Virtual), somos devotos y le rendimos homenaje. Echa una ojeada en ala12rv.com Novedades: Continúa siendo una única misión, pero hemos añadido un periodo de tarde con mal tiempo para poder ejecutar el CASE II. Se han añadido tres cursos más: Aeronaval I, Aeronaval II que emulan los dos años que el piloto estudia en USA y el Curso de Adaptación al Harrier ya en la 9ª Escuadrilla en España. El Curso Aeronaval I se hace en la NAS Pensacola (nosotros hemos adaptado Batumi para tal) utilizando la Texan II para que el piloto haga su primer contacto con la aviación. Este curso y el siguiente se hacen con un instrucciones en inglés. El siguiente curso es con la T-45 donde además de aprender a pilotar un jet tendrás que cualificarte en un portaaviones norteamericano utilizando los tres CASE. Por último, ya en Rota, tendrás que hacer la adaptación al Harrier y realizar con éxito el apontaje en el L-61 Juan Carlos I que tendrá sólo un espacio para hacerlo. Una vez realizado el curso podrás ingresar en la 9ª Escuadrilla Rv asociado a nuestro EAV. Date una vuelta por ala12rv.com Saludos! Os presentamos la Academia General del Aire Virtual. En una única misión para el periodo diurno y otra para el nocturno, podrás emular a un alumno de la Academia General del Aire. Primero, como alumno de 3er año, volando la E-26 Tamiz en el Ala 79 con sede en San Javier para realizar el curso elemental. Después, como alumno de 4o año, estarás a los mandos del C-101 Mirlo, para realizar el curso básico. Después realizarás el curso de caza y ataque en el Ala 23 con base en Talavera la Real con el F-5 y finalmente, ya licenciado como teniente, podrás realizar el curso de adaptación al Hornet en el Ala 15, con base en Zaragoza. La misión tiene como escenario el Cáucaso, dónde se han adaptado las bases para emular a las del Ejército del Aire. La Tamiz se ha adaptado del mod del Super Tucano con una skin exclusiva realizada por el jefe del Ala 12 RV. Por lo que podrás hacer el curso elemental sin comprar ningún módulo de pago. Puedes bajarte el paquete con las misiones, la skin y toda la documentación necesaria aquí. Puedes volar offline o si lo prefieres puedes pedir el ingreso en ala12rv.com para recibir instrucción online. i made a mig 28 mod for the F-5 a while back and decided to remaster it and rerelease it you can find it at this link https://www.dcshangar.com/en/packages/a_07mpXcS.pIozsXoyl its complete but i may add the MiG-29 and 21's fuel tanks i just need to test if they work

When I do researches on F-5E tiger's Landing video records, I found most of the "tigers" will do a nose up Aerodynamic Braking, in this video the voice over said 10 degrees (?) But I found it's really hard to do it in DCS, even I tried to touch down very Gently, the nose gear will "Strike to the floor" within 2 seconds, just like there is a force that pulling it down. ( I double/hundred checked my brakes are off ),TRACK INCLUDED DOWN BELOW , but yet I'm not a professional, and I'm lack of documents to proof it further, maybe you the one can provide a little help. PS. the F-5E must need moooooore LOVE F5LAND.trk

Hi, I've seen since the multi threading update was released that the beacon light of the f5 was always on instead of blinking. I decided to make a simple mod to fix it. I've only tested in single player so far and it will break the integrity check. If someone want to try it in multiplayer, adding the arg "192" in the net_animation. ex: -- add model draw args for network transmitting to this draw_args table (16 limit) net_animation = { 13, --[[right LE flap]] 14, --[[left LE flap]] 23, --[[chocks]] 25, --[[hoook]] 35, --[[drag chute]] 36, --[[drag chute]] 37, --[[drag chute]] 192, --[[Beacon light]] 274, --[[left aux inlet]] 275, --[[right aux inlet]] 327, --[[left up gun door]] 328, --[[right up gun door]] 329, --[[left down gun door]] 330, --[[right down gun door]] 474, --[[nose strut]] 475 --[[nose strut]] }, the net_animation can be found in: "DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft\F-5E in the F-5E.lua" Installation (OVGME Ready): -OVGME (recommanded): 1) unzip the file in your _MODS directory 2) enable in your ROOT configuration. (Usually you have 2 configuration, one in "Saved games" that is not used here, and one where the game is installed called "ROOT" where you install the mod) -"Classic install" 1) do a backup of your F5 files in your Mods/aircraft directory (the only files that will be affected are "devices.lua" and "device_init.lua", you can find them under: "DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-5E\Cockpit\Scripts") 2) unzip the file at the root of your dcs install Known issue with my mod so far: -Blinking very fast 1-2s when enabled, then it will go back to normal I hope you enjoy this mod until a fix come.
