Well regarding multithreading it should make a difference since your 9700k is an 8 core CPU so in theory it would benefit from multithreading... Your GPU might not benefit from DLSS since is seems that DLSS is only available for NVIdia 20xx generation and newer...

Well, I do not fly the Harrier but a generic problem that I encountered was, that some buttons where set on multiple input devices... and sometimes axes too... Check you key bindings that nothing is used on multiple input devices (unless its intentionally multi-used) I crashed lots of planes because of something like that - and spontaneously loosing power sounds like it too

Well I would suggest rather then starting by the CPU you should start your building process by defining how much money you want to spend... or is there a specifiy reason why you only wanna choose from LGA 1150 CPUs ?? The 1150 socket (it was introduced in 2013) is quite "old" and for example only supports DDR3 Ram which is even more expensive than DDR4 now ... 1151 came in 2015 and the actual one would be 1200 since 2020

after carefully reading the specs again it looks like there is 2* infront of the 16 GB but its hard to read... maybe there are already 32GB planed which should be the minimum to run DCS

I guess I will just buy 1 and see what happens... EDIT: The first thing that will happen is that I need to read more carefully... the USB connector is for power supply only... so if I dont want to take a HDMI output of my GPU (which are already used for the main screens) I will need a USB to HDMI converter....

The 5800X3D is one of the best gaming CPUs there is at the moment - so its a very fine choice and the bottleneck will most likely be the GPU BUT I would not go with a 16GB RAM setup in a new computer... I would reccomend AT LEAST 32GB to run DCS... especially big maps will need lots of RAM

I recently added the Viper and the Tomcat to my list of planes... while the F-16 MFDs work with the same settings from the Hornet, I do not see anything on the Tomcat.. Is there a way to display the VDI and HSD the same way as the MFDs on F-16 and F-18? Thanks in advance..

I have small problems with my 2 monitor setup - maybe someone can help.. I use 2 x 24" screens with my main screen left and my 2 DDIs on the right (flying the F-18 only at the moment) The only problems I have are: - the COM menue is on the top right corner of the right screen which is black and I cant read the text - Can I change the position of the COM menue?? - the Main Screen when starting DCS and the MIssion Editor uses both screens and most menues are in the middle between the 2 screens and very hard to read... - Can I change is somehow that the Mission editor / Main Menue only uses 1 screen?

Hello folks, maybe a stupid questions.. but pls help a newbie.. I have seen that there are many user created campaigns in the user files sections... but there is always the difference between 2.5 and 2.7.. My question: will I be able to use 2.5 stuff with 2.7? the other way around won't work I guess and this makes sense.. but I couldn"t find more information on that...

I thought it was fixed-- but seems not.. I can select the Marianas but then cant generate a mission - i get a strange "getMissionNode Nodeslds is empty" message

it seems the bug is still there... did a fast mission today with the F/A-18 and had to target MI-24 with no luck I was wondering why - thats how I found this thread...
