I don't think I've seen that one, just AMAZING. Thank you for sharing, these videos always give me the itch.

This is prepping you for the upcoming Harrier...:megalol:

How do you find the 2.01 update? I have run the updater.exe, started the sim (10) times, etc to no avail. Any help here is greatly appreciated..
-
I have noticed this too now. I believe it's due to wind but it gets rather drastic making take off's much tougher. Requires quite a bit of rudder to correct.:pilotfly:

Thank you all for the reply..

Quick question; if I deactivate a module in one version of DCSW would it have any effect on the other versions I have installed? I want to uninstall an older version of the sim and don't want to lose or deactivate my planes in the other versions.
-
Have you tried to enter into Full Screen mode? LALT+ENTER I did that at first too and was going nuts before changing to FS Mode. After that I re-assigned to a proper resolution and all was good again.

As i was unaware of the way runways were designated and the cliche, "learn something new everyday" helped me ten fold in this thread...

I go the easy route. Use the F10 Map and change to satellite view, then zoom in on the numbers...

Drop the list of commands down and select AXIS, here you can select various items, including throttle, to any of the available axis controls. Have fun awesome plane. :pilotfly:

Since this most recent update, I seem to have lost the ability to use my Warthog Throttle stick mouse. This not only happened for the SU27 but all of my controller profiles. I can no longer even select it in the profile setup. All was working prior to the last update. Has anyone else seen this?:helpsmilie:

One question; once the open beta is ready for release will it update our current version or will we have to download and install the version of DCS World it currently resides in?
-
Folks, if you think the SU27 has an awesome flight model, then check out the airframe... :shocking: Cougar, anyone seen an airbase around here???? :pilotfly: https://www.dropbox.com/s/swn380okvs0gmbo/SU27-On-Fire1.jpg?dl=0 Don't worry, we'll follow you in, piece of cake Coug.. :megalol: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mvduz8g7virhaed/SU27-On-Fire2.jpg?dl=0 Oops, guess they gave you the Go Around... :megalol: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a6ergewolhgmgn8/SU27-On-Fire3.jpg?dl=0 :pilotfly: Pivot

Looks like you're giving the mechanic a lift...

I assigned that to the TM Boat Switch, works like a champ... Also did the same with the F15C.. Pivot :pilotfly:

I've noticed this for a while too and have to make an asserted effort to remember to set it before take off. Not that easy while in the air. :smilewink:

Had it since the onset and love every minute of it.. Have gotten rather proficient with it. Fun trying to land on various things.. ;-)

hahaha I guess I was just moving the guys from one fight to the other... I was dropping them in areas to surround the groups attacking the transports. You have done an outstanding job creating these. It is truly immersive having this amount of action going on and the explosions around the zones are heart wrenching.. GREAT WORK! I will look for your server online and try to join up with you.. Hope you enjoyed my transportation track prior.. Thank god we can still fly through trees or it would have ended rather abruptly.. ;)

Fantastic Mission.. Hot LZ doesn't do justice to this one my friend. It's white knuckled all the way.. I attached a track to my first attempt at it with a rather expected end result though the carnage up to it was heart pumping to say the least.:joystick: Please give the ability to carry weapons, these guys need all the help they can get... Great work sir... One trick I use, is trimming the aircraft before takeoff to minimize the left control. I use the trimmer constantly during all flight conditions. The trick to landing is to preempt the landing by a fair distance and try to hold the AoA to less than 500 fpm and closer to the ground less than 300 fpm. A good practice situation is to fly the campaign which forces you to land on a pad upon returning to base. I have gotten rather proficient at landing now and no longer worry about how I will end up on the ground.. Now it's just trying to avoid the AAA fire before it finds your craft. Small arms aren't a real issue except for yesterday when I dropped some troops in a hot LZ opened my left gunners door and before getting an aim on the ground troops, he got smoked  which prevented me from closing the door all the way home and made for a noisy ride.. Good Luck and just give it some time, you will get better with practice!

I have found that I do much better with landings without using the Ctrl-ENTER Axis view graph. Not sure if this is much help, but it does tend to save me all the time since I tend to slow down much sooner than just throwing the force trim around at will and falling like a meteorite.
-
Telomere, I thank you for the reply since I was beginning to wonder if this only happens to me.. :helpsmilie: Hopefully DCS will come up with some approach to, at least, minimize the lost time spent flying around wondering what, if anything, I did wrong.. :joystick:

Dear developers, it seems there needs to be a way to fail the mission if a certain trigger has been missed that is required to continue. I am sure it can be done hence why missions are failed if you stray to far from the flight lead on a couple missions. I have been flying the new UH-1H campaign recently and have hit this issue a couple of times and if not for just giving up as nothing seemed to happen I would have been flying around in limbo forever. Maybe it could be as easy as noting required targets within the briefing. Anyway, this isn't a rant just an observation which definitely occurs in both campaign and user created missions. I hope there can be some resolution involved or this could turn into a first person shooter where you run around blind searching for that illusive hole in the wall (over & over & over).. :smilewink: On another note, this Huey is a dream to fly! :pilotfly:

Well this conversation has renewed my interest in this mission (had just given up). I too have gotten stumped. Went all the way through once, we all RTB'd only to not receive a MISSION SUCCESS at the end, also had the same problem with the group hovering next to the mountain and I really stink at hovering so you guess what happened next.. BING-BANG-BOOM! Back to the old drawing board.. :helpsmilie:
