  1. thanks @Whiskey11 Just downloaded! Have a Merry Christmas!
  2. North of my town there's LIDE. It's a single runway for small planes like Cessna. There's also a parachute school, but it's not real busy... I'll try to look over internet if i found something.. Thanks @=DROOPY=
  3. Yes. of course. But what i was asking for is a tutorial for airport procedures. So, when i been given a runaway to take off, how i can go to that runaway? Through what taxiway? What lines i have to follow (the yellow ones i know...) where i have to stop and give precendece to incoming/taking off planes (more or less what used to happen in Falcon4 AF). In case of more runways/taxyways where i have to go? I know it's quite useless at this point in dcs. But this wish was only for knowledge purpoese. Thanks @WinOrLose
  4. Thanks @razo+r @Gary and @fagulha TBH i always do that way and real-life-like atc isn't at top of my priorities, but It's quite like i'm missing something in not knowing these procedures. ...abiding that rules it's another matter...
  5. Thanks @razo+r you're right and i have plenty of charts found on internet when MSFS2020 came out. I don't play MP so I am not worried about other players' behaviour on taxiway and runway. What i'd like is to achieve a basic knowledge of what to do before/after a mission. Where to enter a runaway, what taxiway to follow etc. I could enter a runaway through rough terrain instead of following a taxiway and still be able to take off. I repeat, it's just a matter of knowing what to do, for my personal knowledge.
  6. Since I'm a "veteran" of flight sims i am very new with airport procedures. This lack of knowledge is remarkable with MSFS2020 (specially in big civ airports) but i think that, maybe, IMO, it would be helpful knowing where to taxi, what lines to follow, where to stop, where to go, what taxiway to take and so on even in DCS... Or do you think it's useless in a mil-sim?
  7. Thanks a lot @antiload I'll take a look asap
  8. Hello everybody, I'm training with AFAC with simple mission made by me with ME. Sometimes everything goes well, sometimes i can't spot laser, sometimes a i get "abort abort abort". Just to make things simpler and straight (and just to know) is there a sort of checklist both for pilot and cp/g to follow when engaging enemies with JTAC? I searched but found anything. Thanks a lot and happy landings
  9. Thanks a lot @dburne and @silverdevil I'll take a look to these products. I didn't figure that flying with DCS was so expensive... I mean, not dcs itself... a new monitor, a throttle, a new winwing throttle because the first one was broken, a new mouse, a new keyboard, i'm thinking 'bout a new desk and tobii eye tracker, maybe a lonely life because my wife will leave me 'cause we're really short of cash... thanks dcs!
  10. Hello everybody, I have a Winwing Orion2 F/18 throttle (quite "heavy") and a thrustmaster T16000 (lightweight) I'd like to improve my experience by buying 2 desktop mounts for these controllers. For "mounts" i mean those supports anchored to desk to bring these controllers quite leg-level instead of keeping them desk-level. Do you have any suggestions about what to buy? I see that the ones in winwing store are out of stock, and i wouldn't worry about the chance that they broke because they can't bear the weight. Thanks in advance
  11. I had several issue with TWCS throttle bundled with joystick and pedals. I'd aim something less "plastic-ish". I bought a new one and same problems showed up. Ask a refund to Mr. Amazon and bought a winwing. Expensive, but worth it!
  12. Thanks a lot @Funkysak I was aware about this upgrade, but, after i bought a new TWCS having the same issue i chose Winwing throttle... and it's really another planet!
  13. hi @Boosterdog i never found the otion to tun mirror off. Can you tell me where is it located? Thanks a lot! I completely agree @Moxica. While with A-10 or F-16 Marianas are beautiful with Apache are still beautiful but quite unplayable. fps drop down and it seems like a .gif That's a pity!
  14. Hi everybody pilots i finally decided to look for good head/eye tracker and it seems Tobii eye tracker is what i'm looking for, but i have a silly question about it. My desktop config is (as it is as per 99.9% simmers i guess) throttle on the left, and starting from my seat in center there is the "column" with joystick, keyboard and screen. My desk is quite small (it's not a gaming desk) and, for now i cannot Question is: does the joystick interfere with tobii cam? I mean a sort of joystick-partially-"eclypsing"-my big face issue causing it malfunctioning. Can someone confirm that this not happens, or, it it happens how they solved this problem? Thanks a lot to everybody.
  15. Thanks @Rudel_chw Now everything seems to work. It was a modem/router issue. Reboot it, flushed dns and now i'm flying Thanks a lot!
  16. Thanks @Rudel_chw but this doesn't seem to work. My pc is in the right time zone. Even now, i started dcs but it took a while and steam failed to get authorization and all my payed modules are disabled. And i can't even figure out why this happen
  17. I am quite upset. When i launch the game this screen appears. I have all the modules listed there installed and everything went fine 'til now. I did no changes nor install/uninstall anything. No mods were ever installed. I have steam version. The first time, after this screen the game started and asked me to login (despite auto-login option was checked) but it took a lot and could not login properly. Exit the game, restarted it, again this screen showed up but no login windows appeared and i found the base game (just Caucasus, just SU25 or whatever it is) Anyone from ED team could help? Thanks
  18. Weren't they the same size? I agree, they were great days! Pls excuse @Moxica, @admiki and @Recluse didn't mean to fill this thread with good-ol-days stories and to go completely off topic.
  19. Those good old time when in longbow 2 you had to press pgup/pgdown to switch LOBL/LOAL...
  20. no i don't. while i find myself quite good in diy i am totally stranger to electronic/wielding components/whatever related to electronics. I thinks it's pure magic pushing a button and seeing a pc coming to life... as well as turning a key and starting a car. It sounds strange that almost everything related to DCS it involves spending money (hey @ed team i am joking! Everyday i worhip a stone altar built for you for bringing a badass helo to life ) thanks @admiki, you're always kind and helpful. But wouldn't it be simpler to give the oportunity to bind head movement to an analong stick rather than buttons? Maybe with curves and saturation as well. Maybe this option actually IS in the game, and that's exactly what i'm looking for, but i couldn't find it...
  21. I checked on amazon some headtracker before putting my whole budget on a throttle, and your kind suggestion is very welcome! I wasn't aware of this producer and i'll take note when the moment of buying an headtracker will show up. Thanks a lot @MAXsenna, but i'm still looking for a small solution for this "problem"
  22. Thanks @MAXsenna My budget was completely oriented in an expensive and durable throttle due to bad experience with Thrustmaster TWCS. So, for a while headtracker is not planned
  23. Hi everybody and forgive me for this silly question (as usual) As per title i have T16000 and a brand new Orion 2 throttle with F18 levers (very happy 'bout it). I have view direction (head and sight movement) bound to T16000 hat. This solution worked quite well on fast movers (i have Viper and A-10cII modules) but it's very difficult to accurately aim M139 AWS as pilot, since up-down and left-right movements are set as buttons, so it's not possible set curves or other things to aim more accurately. My idea is to bind head movement to the analog lever in front of the throttle but i was totally unable to do this. It seems that in "adjust controls" section view up, down, etc is possible to be mapped only for buttons not to sticks. Any idea on ow to solve this if possible? I searched the forum but wasn't able to find anything. Thanks in advance
  24. You're great @Rudel_chw!!! So, i guess cockpit arguments for triggers are different from plane to plane (helo to helo)? Does i exist this list for AH64? Thanks again!!
