  1. This is true! Those mavericks are pretty useless up there! :joystick:
  2. Love this one! And it's so high res! :D
  3. Oh yes! Definitely! It probably wont be easy though, as i understand it getting realistic engine sounds in a sim is not easy, since it's kind of troublesome to record due to the very high volume, and also because the sound recordist can hardly join the pilot in the air since it's single seat only. :P I have faith though! The RM8A(and B) has a fantastic, loud, rumbling noise! :pilotfly:
  4. Looks like it's parked in a museum of some kind and they probably had i resprayed. Looks like they mixed the colors a bit to saturated. Not many swedish forests have that palette of colors. ;-)
  5. One of my teachers (former JA-37 technician) told me that when they were doing a christmas card one year they painted one of their viggens in a batman scheme and the pilot wore a batman suit. Apparently this was not approved by the wings commanding officers, so there was a bit of a fuss. :P
  6. This is what i was talking about, but i guess that's true. :P The more you learn! :-)
  7. Sounds like you would need a bit of practice doing this to avoid completely ruining the nose gear? :P
  8. DCS: AJS-37 Viggen Discussion I can confirm that it is! I asked one of the mechanics of this very aircraft this question a few years ago. :-)
  9. The same group brought back the SK-35 just last year (or the year before?) so i hope they get to handle the airshows for the SK-37 aswell! :-)
  10. I haven't read that far in the manual yet but if I've understood others correctly the radar is able to assist the AIM-9s in finding targets, I'll get back to you when I have read ahead in the manual. :-)
  11. Thanks! I realize it might be more or less a waste of time since you guys apear ot be close(ish) to finishing the module, and thus there likely exists a translated manual already out there, but i guess i learn more and have more of an excuse to read it this way! ;-)
  12. I had a slow day at work so i decided to translate the first few pages of the manual for the AJS37. I might do more i find the time. :P AJS37 Drivers Instructions Part 1 Edit: Just added a translation of the second tab of the manual. Edit 2: The next section, that covers power supply (hydraulics and electrics), is 39 pages, so that might take a while. :P
  13. I love this, to bad there isn't very many videos like this available from the swedish airforce. :-(
  14. It's definitiely one of the most brutal looking ones! :D
  15. I'm foreseeing a competition on who can achieve the shortest landing in the Viggen. :P
  16. We need DCS EDGE 2.5 with realistic slow blowing physics! :pilotfly:
  17. That would be great! :D
  18. Well yes. But in that case the question "is x -aircraft SEAD capable?" Could be answered with a yes in all cases. (Except possibly in the case of pure fighters) :P
  19. Allright, that's true. But it doesn't have dedicated anti radiation weaponry. :-)
  20. It isn't SEAD capable. Most of the weapons are domestic weapons developed by SAAB and other Swedish companies. It does use a modified version of the American AIM-9 that was only used in Sweden to my knowledge, but the differences are small. If I'm not mistaken the BK90 is developed in collaboration with Germany. It also carries maverick missiles. All of the other weapons are Swedish.
  21. If so, they have less than 3 hours. I'm cautiously optimistic! ;-)
  22. I'm predicting a Decebuary update. :music_whistling:
  23. Are you sure all of those are road bases? To be honest only the last one looks wide enough for landing. :-)
  24. This is the real reason it has STOL capabilities, otherwise how could Santa land on the street? ;-) Merry Christmas!
  25. :megalol:
