Damn... somebody had a busy Summer! These details are arcane enough to remind me how little I know of this sim. I thought I could swim...but realized I'm still in the shallow end of the pool. ------- Is the ILS a "true" ILS yet? --I was given to understand from the guys in the deep end that it more-or-less follows the ADI rather than following independent landing signals. ------ Congrats to those who've worked so hard on this new patch. This helped me the most as well as, one might wish to experiment with the finer inputs available (via keyboard) to throttle Since there is a difference between Throttle L/R Up/Dn and Throttle L/R Up/Dn Step I wonder why an option like *"Throttle Both Up/Dn Step" doesn't exist. --enabling sim pilot to make finer inputs with one key press.:huh: It makes me think that perhaps there's something missing in my understanding of Throttle Friction Inc/Dec. Perhaps those options would help me to refine my inputs. --Even on the fly, as these are adjustable by my left knee in cockpit (!). I wonder if these inputs are used by anyone in the community...or could be useful. ...maybe this dog just wont hunt. Would appreciate anyone in the know who could comment on this issue. For some of us with rather generic HOTAS...AA Refueling requires sensitivity adjustment not only in axes of stick--but also in throttle. (nod to Strongharm for axes adjustments @ http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69965) For Throttle...options available are the following: Throttle Both Up Throttle Both Down Throttle Left Up Step Throttle Left Down Step Throttle Left Up Throttle Left Down Throttle Right Up Step Throttle Right Down Step Throttle Right Up Throttle Right Down Throttle Friction Increase Throttle Friction Decrease Since there is a difference between Throttle L/R Up/Dn and Throttle L/R Up/Dn Step I wonder why an option like *"Throttle Both Up/Dn Step" doesn't exist. --enabling sim pilot to make finer inputs. Wow.... I just discovered I've been missing a lot in the campaign missions... lol:huh: After months, I've been kind of sqeamish to even try them. --I've just been flying the simplest off-line, user created and fast mission generated missions. I guess I have to take my tampon out and fence In already...
