Many Thanks~

Some kind soul here--months back--posted a tutorial on reconfiguring the snap views. I can't 4 the life of me find it now. I was thinking of trying my hand at it, but wonder if someone could point me in the right direction. For instance, the very basic Num5 view (dead center): I would love to set it to zoom a bit closer and raise it a bit higher. It's probably my most common key pushing task is putting me at risk for carpel tunnel... Would really appreciate some help. Cheers, Moosh

THanks NDP... I knew someone here could redeem this thread for the wiseass comment

You already broke it?

Full load but DSMS indicates two empty wings

very useful... probably best to start it up properly in the first place... XD Thanks, Moosh -
I arrive at IP to join in on the war, full of ordnance but...find I cannot...uh... release, as it were. 1. Is it possible that I'm rushing through the startup? --I've heard similar complaints in the past. 2. Is there a particular operation that I should pay particular attention to in order to avoid this? It has happened a few times before. 3. Is there a way to recover from this in the air using INV? Many thanks, Moosh

HILARIOUS STORY... Allow me to be the first to contribute to your rep. +1!

I was curious about this and a few other details. (not to hijack my own thread but...) 2) Why does night/day switch seem to change color, but the "color" switch seem to have little influence on the text on the HUD? 3) Is there any scenario in which I WOULDN'T want "BOTH" lasers switched on for my TGP? 4) Anti-collision lights seem temperamental--as if it this switch is only switchable under certain conditions. These remain a mystery to me. --Many thanks for help on these

copy that I was referring actually to a USAF F-15E WSO flying out of England. The delivery of his "news" was just hysterical...but you couldn't help feel for the guy. :megalol: I would love to find that cockpit recording again. I've been all over the net and can't find it. :(
-
Speaking of emptying stuff before stepping into the cockpit... There's an excellent recording of a pilot on a training mission involving other flights that takes a crap in his G-suit during the first half of the mission. He has to announce it and then is called to RTB. If I find it, I'll post a link.

"We've spent some time with the latest version and it's shaping up to be every simmer's wet dream, even if Kelly McGillis isn't included!" --Bennett Ring, Games on Net  I wouldn't fly that sim with your joystick, Bennett.

--Not sure on this, but... Isn't there a good deal of work to be done on ground radar for these planes? Was some AG radar implemented in FC or BS? If it is to be implemented...in the next DCS release... wouldn't that be (I don't do code, but I think there's a technical term for it...) um... a huge pain in the ass?

really helpful. THX... I got a new card (GTX 570) with the recent reformat... I suppose it just identifies my IP address (?)... When I entered my code to activate (upon reformatting) I just assumed that I used up one of my activations (having not de-activated prior to reformatting). I suppose this is not something to worry about then... Many thanks... -
Just wanna check with you gents and get things straight before I screw things up again with patching and activation. (Recently, I reformatted having neglected to deactivate--was notified that I had 5 (?) activations left--screwed up that install and then remembered to deactivate--was then notified that I had X number (can't recall) of deactivations left.... etc. etc.) At any rate...to avoid future confusion for tech-challenged schlubs like myself... The last word on this, please, if you wouldn't mind. ____________________________________________ If I were to do a clean install, I would_________. A. have to de-activate, uninstall, install, then re-activate. B. have to do nothing at all, just patch it and stop worrying about it. C. have to de-activate only if planning to completely uninstall and re-install, then patch. D. have to wait and see what Nate or Strongharm does and then do that. ____________________________________________ Cheers, Moosh

Then, there was Amy from next door, who was the KC-135. --never could persuade her to connect.

THANK YOU~! Although, my insistence on using a trackball and joystick does tend to interfere with my social life... *cough* You kids with your warhog hotas and your twitter and your friendster... When I was your age, we just spread our arms and made "rat-tat-tat" noises and ran around the backyard.:pilotfly:

43 here... still with one hand on my joystick, one hand on my trackball...

Isn't it a good thing--as original poster implies--that we get an increasingly clean beta? How often do developers just take a dump without flushing and leave? I would love if the trolling would stop. I understand frustration. Everyone has felt it before. It's not the content, but the manner in which it's expressed that... --oh, nevermind. P.S. Poug~ Your English is just fine. Mon français va vous écorcher les oreilles

SH and Nate... Thanks lots and lots. Saved me a huge headache -
I have a cheap stick (Logitech extreme 3D pro)... After a search, I am looking for a place to find someone's numerical values for each xyz axes. After a reinstall and new card, having a hell of a time wobbling. Would really appreciate the help. Cheers, Moosh
