  1. Here, here~! 1) inputting and creating degrees, minutes, seconds on the CDU. 2) Refuelling (and how to spell it) 3) the minutia on LSS and the variety of functions and advantages of different (seemingly trivial) functions of weapons deployment. 4) detailed explanations of tracking, uncaging, space stabilizing, ground stabilizing, etc. --I'm still a bit foggy on. These would really continue to enhance the a10c warthog enjoyment. Cheers to all.
  2. :detective:ya think Matt has a Predator up there checking out his Beta? --some kind of new Quality Control/Quality Assurance thing???
  3. On ingress to target at angels 10, roughly 35 miles north of Anapa about 19:57 hrs. I glance into the setting sun and damned if I didn't see a grey--stationary object due North at an extremely high altitude. I climbed to angels 20 and flew toward it and it did not grow in size. There were no other objects like it in the sky. I didn't want to mention it to any one but the truth must come out. That night I had unsettled dreams. Maybe it was the beef burrito I had that night, but... I woke the next morning and was extremely sore in my hinder parts.:music_whistling: *Object looks smaller in screenshots.
  4. Sounds good. All things come to those who pre-purchase. This sim is like a fine wine.
  5. That would be cooler. --And, nope, I'm not a programmer. I have WordPad, though.:music_whistling:
  6. Yeah... isn't it time CJ and Matt release that code already? I'm not getting any younger... :P
  7. for what it's worth, Jorg, I'm with you. It would be great to use the mousewheel for zoom. I have zoom fast to one button and then zoom out to the other. and then Alt-C to another... --I'm too poor for track IR. ^^ ~Moosh
  8. :D
  9. Beta 5...So close I can smell it.
  10. --But Good God, it's an achievement. I feel spoiled to be able to work at...and try to match my wits to this sim. Matt, you don't seem to be one to... "take a bow" as it were. It shouldn't go left unsaid, though, that this is really already--just an astoundingly gratifying, enjoyable experience. I was sitting...about to turn onto the runway having called for permission to take off and with the ATC response, a floodlight from a nearby vehicle(?) went on that lit up the first 200 meters of airstrip. I think I laughed aloud at that. The level of detail is breathtaking. It's been a tough winter with so few things to smile about...how great a thing it is to be able to fly this sim. Thanks.
  11. From what I've read and heard--though it's impossible to verify--I think they have a way of turning off Bitchin' Betty. :smartass:
  12. Thanks~ :)
  13. It seems there's yet something more missing to my landing procedure. I'm confused regarding what I do with the QFE call...and the information given. The manual, though thorough and helpful, offers little in this regard. I read somewhere that I am to alter my altitude reading on my altimeter somehow based on the QFE call that I receive from ATC. Could some kind soul deliver me from noob darkness and into the light? Many thanks. P.S. If you're inclined, I would love a word or two on the relationship barometric pressure has to the altitude of my aircraft. God, if only my science teacher hadn't worn those tight sweaters, I would've been able to pay attention...and learnt something.:joystick:
  14. Really interesting post. I imagine this to be pretty high on the fix-list. Regardless, very interesting stuff. Cheers...
  15. A shot in the dark here, but... I don't have TIR... do you think it might be possible to map mousewheel up to zoom + and zoom out to mousewheel down? Right now the zoom buttons are mapped to my stick... it's a bit cumbersome. would like to make use of that mousewheel more efficiently and map the ils khz adjustment to other keys. Many thanks.
  16. HI... Bizarre phenomenon. 1) I thought I had the startup down. Studied and practiced it, trained on it, etc. Suddenly, I can't get my right eng idle to go up past 25% upon clicking it to idle. I wait until L eng is fully running to 100%... I wonder what would cause this. I'm able to replicate this often--in fact, now I can't get the aircraft up any more. 2) Curious about two things re: the Mav. a. I'm trying to get my head around why a profile for Mavs would be defaulted to CCIP (which I always click to CCRP, then save). --would this refer to the mav seeker being in a mode that is not stabilized but "points" to a varying point on the ground and is "constantly computed" which then is assigned a target or caged to a CCRP point or SPI by the pilot? --(I'm just trying to "import" my thinking from terminology I'm more used to refer to bomb release). I wanted to confirm this with you gents to deepen my understanding. b. By the way... Why would the EO not have a standby function? --where the TGP does? Many thanks. Moosh.
  17. RGR that... thanks. ~M
  18. Bizarre problem. --Maybe it's a alzheimers... I set the bottom radio to 30.000 and can't get JTAC's on the phone. Anybody got a suggestion? --tried switching to am, fm... it's never happened before to me. cheers
  19. Since we're on this topic I'm in the market for an upgrade. I have an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8400 @ 2.66Ghz 2.67Ghz 3.25GB RAM With GTX 260... What would you do if you were me? GTX 460 in Korea is about 300bucks.. the 470 goes up to 500+ ...depressing... 1)Do you think I should go up to win7 2)Would it suffice to just get the 460? 3)Is there a significant need for a power upgrade for such card? 4)Is there a RAM bottle neck in the above specs? Many thanks~! I'm really the opposite of tech-savvy so... would really appreciate the help. Thanks
  20. :lol:ROFL! ...The hours I spent last night... LOL Matt did it in 20 seconds. +! Thanks!
  21. +1 excellent! Makes me wish I had a printer. :)
  22. Would really appreciate a bit more about this. Have tried repeatedly, but getting no results. Have tried both iffcc and inventory... I run tests from the MCFD and still getting stuck. Thanks.
  23. :) Matt... Sorry my friend. ... I was calling my (un)funny comment unhelpful. Spent a lot of my life on the water...I actually think you have a point. Sry for the bad joke :) Happy New Year
  24. Matt, we're working on it as hard as we can. :smartass: -1 for being unhelpful
  25. "Make it so" -William Shatner Here's real pain to our sham friends and champagne to our real friends!:yay: **The New File is added** ...You guys with your Fancy Shmancy printers and paper. :P
