+1 Thanks lots! Ah.... "Down" lol... :headsmack: Thanks for that.

I can't, for the life of me, tune into my wingman's radio during the instant action mission. I broadcast SPI, I press mic FWD (?) and issue commands and silence. --Is there something I'm missing? Many thanks! Cheers, Moosh

Thanks for your kind words To your first Q. -->It might be a bit above my paygrade... I'm still learning this sim and am a hopeless noob. --I'll give it a shot, though. To your second Q. --I put Coolie Hat in the center separately for a reason. I'm lazy. :D --I wanted, actually, to avoid clutter... --If you'd like, I'll take another hack at it this weekend. I'm afraid champagne has gotten the better of me at the moment. :drunk: Happy New Year

--At least, I hope it is helpful. Grids, while informative, are visually boring to me and so I have trouble memorizing the data. I made this so that others might benefit as well. NB: I have remapped Lase/NWSteering to another key so as to use Ch. Hat with Ins & Page up. I tried to make this map as intuitive as possible for speed and convenience. Pls let me know if there are any errors. Hope it helps. Cheers All, Moosh Updated to quickref _E" *Boatswitch is now correct* :music_whistling: **Updated on a slightly inebriated Dec. 31st to a less colorful version for you gents with your Fancy Shmancy printers and paper.:)

Turn on your monitor... :) ______________________________ --I'm sorry, that wasn't funny. -I'll try to help if I can. What are your specs? --It's easier to diagnose the problem, if you are able to provide more info. Ram? OS? Card + Driver? DX 9? Etc... Good luck!

sorry to revisit this, but is there a last word on this RED STATION topic? Have been fussing with this resetting business, but haven't gotten a result. Did inflight Bit tests, turned off and on everything possible to reset... Sorry to be stubborn (read: stupid) but... can't quite get it. Many thanks, Moosh

Ignore Map.zip and use Mooshmap.zip instead mooshMap.zip

It's just... amazing. I don't want to gush... but Jesus... ;) ...such beautiful terrain, weather, atmosphere... --(I'm on 1600.1200 res with everything on LOW) ...The artwork, the new battery sound at startup... --even the voice-over acting is done with care. God, it annoys me when it's overdone...(USAF for example). ...the way my tire popped when taxiing too eagerly...--it was hilarious! This is sim is so full of surprises. and I'm only beginning to scratch the surface. It's just amazing... (I feel like that Double-Rainbow Guy) Anyway... Since many (without the fancy HOTAS setups) are grappling with assigning keys, etc... I thought I'd put something up for mapping purposes that was convenient to revise. It's pretty self explanatory. I've found it useful...it's in powerpoint and can therefore be reworked and customized to your particular keymap. --it can also be saved as a jpeg file to review and refer to in a pinch. off-white= unmodified key Dk Blue=Lcontrol Grn Lshift=LShift Red =Lalt Lighter colors are right shif, ctrl, etc... example of stick keys and assignments are beneath keymap (I use a Logit extreme3D) Thought it would help for customizing...and avoiding reinventing the wheel. It's a WIP...:) Merry Xmas, Moosh

"What he said. ;) Merry Xmas all. :D" Merry Xmas all... ...Maybe the patch is too many Gigs to fit down the chimney (?)

My wife should have tattooed it on her ass before I met her.

Guess I need code clearance... :)

in tip tools...I see it all the time. Does it mean, as I suspect, in future iterations of the sim there will be more added? --many thanks. ~Moosh

Ooh... Top-shelf stuff... LOL :wiseass:

14days? :flush:

Yes, Thanks. I was looking at that thread before I posted and am still a bit confused. So it really just affects the indications on the HUD subsequent to release. Is that right? Thanks for the response.

This might seem trivial, but, no explanation can be found in the manual. The following are available... CLM TRM TLT or NONE Does anyone know--since escape occurs after weapon release--what the benefits are of each? How does a pilot decide? Many thanks for anyone who can shed some light. Moosh

DCS sees hotas in GUI but not in game? Pls help
mooshim replied to mooshim's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
rgr that. I'm trying a work around that is just using the GUI Ctrl+ for TMS Shift + Slew Alt + for trim...etc. Four buttons on the base are for DMS up,down, left, right. --not sure if this is going to make it more awkward for me or less. I appreciate advice with someone who has been down this road before...and want to avoid re-inventing the wheel. (to mix a metaphor). ~Thnx -
DCS sees hotas in GUI but not in game? Pls help
mooshim replied to mooshim's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
BTW... Logitech profiler is "pointing" to the exe file, but does not initiate. --rather I must start it from the desktop icon. --not sure if that is any clue. THNX very much -
Looking for a reliable aerial refueling practice .miz
mooshim replied to Bahger's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I'm interested in this too and a bit squeamish about screwing things up in mission editor... Is there a required altitude for refueller? thx -
It's a strange and probably simple issue. I have a logitech extreme 3D I have a column in the options gui screen. I have always been confused about whether to leave default keys in the GUI as is and then configure the buttons on the hotas--OUTSIDE of the sim... I'm having huge trouble getting my noobie head around Hat-switch, DMS, boot switch, TMS cursor, trim etc. etc. ( I don't have a throttle). I was just considering configuring pov to up/down/left/right And--in the GUI--configuring trim, cursor slew, etc... to combinations of ctrl+/alt+/Shift+ etc. Just to test whether the sim was "seeing" my stick. I just configured POV and assumed it would respond --without modifiers...that is I assumed it would be pitch up/down bank L/R...etc. --No response.... Just the views changed --as if the stick isn't being recognized somehow. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a profile file I should delete in order to start anew? MANY THANKS for any advice.:(

mooshim replied to mooshim's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
rgr that... soon as I figure that out.. lol. gonna try to put it up as a google doc file. --not quite as pretty, but might do the trick.
