Clearly featured aerial screw glide bombs. It was also designed in the last 1000 years, so clearly is a modern design too. So yeah, it fits all the hints.

In the real plane, it's a hand lever similar to a bicycle or motorcycle's front brake. The harder you squeeze, the harder the brake pads grip. So yes, it's an axis. For me the problem sort of went away. What I've found is if I push the right toe brake, then the left and then the right again, both toe brakes will activate the MiG-21's brakes. But the first couple presses won't do anything. Very strange.

Same. Pushing buttons in pit with mouse doesn't work, hotas buttons don't work either.

It doesn't work for single player though, "Player" can still only be selected as flight lead.

Yep, they are nice. Any chance of some Iraqi skins of those yet to be released? Given the upcoming F-14's and F-18, they'd be a prime choice I think.:)

I copied my 1.2 profile to 1.5, the only change I noticed was my airbrake button pair became a single button toggle. That part is slightly annoying, but not a huge deal imho. I haven't noticed any other functions turn into toggles. All the weapons, radar and landing gear functions appear unchanged.

I would not recommend a 5870, if that's really what you're looking at, then a second hand 270x is probably the way to go.

As it stands, the AI F-5E in game can use AIM-9P/M, Mk.82/83/84, GBU-12, Rockets (7 or 20 pack), fuel tanks and travel pods. One of the more interesting configurations is 5x Mk.82's on a fuselage rack. I'm uploading a brief video of it right now, will edit it in once done. Also, the original F-5E's to roll off the factory used optically guided AGM-65A/B's. I don't know how they aimed them, probably with the HUD but that's just a guess.

I had that same processor before my current one, was CPU bottlenecked in 1.2x with a Radeon 6850, which is already way better than that graphics card. In any case, for budget cards, the GTX 960 is getting solid marks by other DCS users. It's in the just under $200 range new, about half that for used. My own GTX 770 2GB works very well, it was $230 almost a year ago, probably cheaper now. Another place I'd look is the R9 270x and basic 280, both are budget cards in the under $200 price range. I haven't seen performance posts on those yet, but they probably do ok. I'd search the forums first though. Going cheaper isn't going to do you much good. If you can't afford new, look at refurbished or used. And going off to school doesn't remove the possibility of flight sims or any other video games. It's the #1 hobby here in the US among college students, and probably more so with the serious ones.

Confirming mouse pointer presence all the time in all aircraft in MP. I cannot get rid of it, very irritating. I don't know if it's a bug or not, but I'd like to see it changed back to the way it was before.

Same issue, I get about 20 fps on main menu with that default animation. Performance in game is 60+ fps at 1080p, 2x MSAA, DoF off and otherwise max.

I noticed the same when trying to fight F-5's, MiG-15's and F-86's. Other than the lighting effects making close range tracking a little easier, I couldn't tell a difference. I tried both normal and enlarged settings. Also, it isn't just against the ground, I also looked against the horizon and the sky. Maybe it isn't implemented in our version?

Title says it all, I previously had my brake axis assigned to both left and right toe brakes on my CH pedals, but they no longer work for the MiG-21. They still work fine for all other modules, including those with the same style braking system (MiG-15, Ka-50...). I checked controls and they are properly assigned and respond in the axis configuration. They just don't do anything in the actual plane. Edit: Issue resolved itself without further input from me after playing with some other aircraft. But I've also had my stick randomly stop working in MP at the start of a new mission, It would then start working again upon disconnecting and reconnecting (no client restart).

Yep, I only get the book cover in 1.5. I think this belongs in the bugs section though.

I got a pretty big FPS bump with it, I'd guess about 40% increase on average. The big thing is the minimums though. On a simple test I did in 1.2x today, I got 42 fps minimum sitting on the ground at Batumi in the MiG-15 when looking over at the town. The minimum in the same mission in 1.5 beta is 60 fps. Flying around, the change is similar. I used to bottom out in the 40's, now I bottom out in the 60's (just flying around, nothing going on). This is on max detail without grass/bushes, 2x MSAA at 1080p. My specs are in my sig. And of course, that bump in performance comes along side much improved lighting effects and improved ground textures too. So more detail and more FPS. Can't complain about that.:thumbup: I have had a few crashes in the 2 hours of play, but that's to be expected.

Once and that was mostly just to get my beta client up to the latest pre-1.5 version. I've been checking the forum once every hour or two for 1.5 beta news. And since there is none, back to Skyrim.:bash:

Mirage F1E for western Europe. Others high on my list are the Harrier (an early and a late generation preferably), SEPECAT Jaguar and additional Mirages.

Yes, and also radar, AIM-9's, AGM-65's, and various bombs/rockets. Oh, and dual 20mm cannons with over 1000 rounds of ammo.:joystick:

That one's pretty and carries missiles, I could go for that.
