Several cruise missiles fired from the Russian navy yesterday detonated inside Iran. meanwhile Assad's regular army advances its armoured columns under the protection of RuAf but the rebels are picking them up as they show up with little difficulty (using western anti tank missile systems). All this is very reminiscent of the Afghan campaign in the 80's. I am baffled by this strategy.
