  1. we used to have a ladder based on statistics a few years ago when we had proper export functionality for that. However many people disliked the stats existed and argued that was just serving egos and changing the way people fly.
  2. Tonight over turkey. Whiskey tango foxtrot. vrSVfcPgBMg
  3. It has a PW1900G engine, and the kicker is that the fan is gearboxed. :)
  4. last week I walked around the KC-390. This week I had better hardware to take shots of the E190-E2 prototype off Farnborough. I wanst allowed to take pics from the passanger cabin but they let me take shot from the pit.
  5. woa tough little bird, glad to know the pilots got out OK!
  6. hehehehehe shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ;)
  7. The shots were taken at Alverca Airstrip where there is an aerospace company that repairs and manufactures aircraft structures.
  8. Took these shots at work this week before the plane went to Farnborough. Sorry for the grainy shots (2 megapixel) but this is something Im addressing next week with a new Smartphone camera combo (16 megapixel). :)
  9. PoAF this weekend. In case your wondering the missiles are live rounds.
  10. He had a full life thankfully. RIP

  15. Its going to be DCS: ladybird :D
  16. I've seen this printed on T-shirts while camping :D
  17. Great reading there thx. there were a few things I noticed. It seems some systems, namely the 360 sensor arrays are not yet operational or not integrated, because the pilot is supposed to be able to see targets thru the cockpit. he was instead trying to acquire it visually the old fashioned way and came across the canopies restricted view angle.
  18. you missed the point entirely. A pilots testimony would infact help clear some of extrapolation made from the airshow videos alone. Is it a fat turkey or can it move about in the sky after all?
  19. Your ditching the energy conservation out of the equation which just as important in favour of pure AOA tolerance. Anyway all this is academic based in speculation. All I want to see is a credible testimony of pilots facing F-16's and Eurofighters in guns only mock engagements to get a better idea. ;)
  20. uno más Jez31XaWn6I
  21. low voltage doesn't cause pauses, it causes bluescreens.
  22. meanwhile in the Nerthelands: w3tstUYGS_8 first time I have seen them been pushed hard.
  23. I have SSD's and they are CPU hogs. When the SSD's were put to work (basically every time I opened something, or when the background tasks required accesses and writes) the SSD's would wait for the CPU to throttle up and I could see these micro-pauses (they coincided with the fans spooling up to match). They weren't problematic but when I finally switched C states off the whole thing became fluid.
  24. C states throttle up and down your CPU automatically depending on what your doing. It's a gimmick to reduce consumption much like the "cheat" on the Volkswagen cars. I found out that it introduced annoying response lag spikes and witched it off
