The L-39 is russian/georgian, Doesn't show as 'Player' but can be placed as client and will work I didn't do anything to the su-27 model, not sure why it isn't showing up for you. Are ai su-27's visible? If you get "infront" of the center of the model, Like on the front half of the boat. The Chopper or plane you replaced will see you as infront and high and dip to avoid you. You must set your model off center so that the front of the 3d model is the center point.

I've devised/discovered a formula that can predict within ~10 seconds of usage when the Laser on the ka-50 will burn out from over use Here is a Video proof of concept The formula itself is when [Number of activations]*8 + [Actual laser burn time] > 1050 it burns out where an activation = firing a vikhr or pressing the "lock" button causing it to rangefind and actual burn time is what it shows on the left side of the hud Video explains it pretty well, I tried several scenarios where I used it for a bit , keeping track of what a did, then used the formula to predict how much more i could do and the worst it was off was by two 8-second rangefind/locks

alt-9 disables autopilot, A turns a from of it on and off, but the alt-6 can only be turned off via alt-9 IDK about the not closing issue

I was using the utilities button on the top bar of the material editor, no good Using the utilities button on the far right of the main screen, (hammer icon in 2011) good to go

I tried 8 of the newer ones, then decide to upgrade to max 2011 and see if that helped. I got the plugin installed but the Material utility EdModelTool described in the first post is missing, heres a screenshot to make sure i'm looking in the right place Also show my plugin window open to verify i've got the plugin loaded

The plugin exe doesn't seem to be detecting my max2010 install I'm using win7 64 bit, with max2010 64bit how can i fix this? Registry edit or something maybey, idk what the exe is looking for

P-51 Orange wheels and Nav light Fix

Using the Original lods modification also fixes weapons not appearing on pylons -
Dcs world > bazar > world > shapes > P-51D.lods open with notepad, change line 3 from {"P-51D.edm",50.0}; to {"P-51D_lod1.edm",50.0}; This fixes orange wheels and should make your weapons show up

A manpad put a hole in my right fuel tank, which then promptly emptied. I used the left wing tank to fly home, get repaired, and then i refueled. When i checked my gauged pre take-off i noticed the right tank was empty, i refueled again and watched it go down. I started the plane on the left tank, switch to right and it took about 2-3 minutes to for the engine to die. Could not be restarted with the damaged tank selected. I finally tracked it down. Its based on the LOD fix i posted for the wheels. dcs world > bazar > world > shapes > P-51D.lods open with notepad, change line 3 from {"P-51D.edm",50.0}; to {"P-51D_lod1.edm",50.0}; I didn't realize everyone i had try the pylon fix also used the wheel fix

I had someone else repeat my action and the results have been successfully replicated. 1. Get your model viewer working 2. Load the p-51d model 3. under view, click load skin, Dir, and select the bare metal skin folder from bazar>liveries>p-51d> bare metal (not sure if this is necessary) 4. Load the p-51B model (not sure if this is necessary) 5. Select Reload model 6. Go drop a plane in the mission editor , put weapons on it, and check if they're on the wings edit: if it works for you aswell please reply, also if you do something different let us know

I set it to the 4 way hat (up and down) on the back of my x52 throttle, works great as a push button rather than an axis

I was having the no-show weapons like everyone else. Then i went messing about with textures, loaded the plane in the model viewer, and snooped around but don't recall changing ANYTHING, then i loaded up a mission and they're suddenly showing up even though the database file still shows their location as 0,0,0 (inside the plane rather than on the wings) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=991CQkgs5bI If someone else could try loading up the model viewer, checking the p-51 model and then seeing if they suddenly work, i'm really curious whats going on

It still looks extremely detailed and there is no noticeable detriment. Also the wheels are not orange. To Install is simple BACKUP YOUR ORIGNAL and drop this into DCS World > Bazar > World > Shapes Edit: Not the most flattering light but here's a preview

A nice way to implement some form of tree damage would be to have the forests behave like elevated blocks of terrain, so you have a whole forest with a few hundred polygons and if you fly inside of the "forest block" some pre-determined damage gets done to your airframe, like wings cliped + 1 engine fires and some gashed metal decals. This doesn't deal with individual tree's in towns and such, but is much more achievable than trying individual tree collision edit: Like a 20-40ft high transparent plateau in the shape of the forest

You can also set it as a push button, Maybey the 4 way hat on the back of the throttle is a good spot for the elevator I never even thought to bind them to the rotaries,

If you have a multi player mission, and start it in single player or in the editor, you get a list of clients to pick what plane you want to be, so you dont' have to set 1 as player for testing
