  1. Hello All, I want to try to get a certain shot, but I am having trouble figuring out how to achieve the shot. I want to follow a bomb from when it leave my plane's pylon to when it impacts its target, but I want to follow it from a pinned position. So like tracking the bomb from a pinned F11 camera on the ground that is pinned next to the target so I can watch the impact as if I was standing next to the target. Does anyone know how I may be able to achieve this shot?
  2. Ok so after some research, I foung this reddit post, and more specifically from u/_Quaggles that explain the following: "For everything inside the cockpit the track file is just pressing the buttons you pressed when flying so it will press missile release but your aircraft had no power so nothing will happen." So, I hopped back into my track and sure enough, the master arm, pylons, weapn delivery modes, and weapon selectors were all not switched to the correct state as the track should have done. hopped into F1 cockpit view and did it manually and sure enough the weapons deployed.
  3. Hello all, I've been messing around in mission editor today for a video I'm making, and for whatever reason my track replays suddenly stopped recording any munition deployments. This goes for all munitions - bombs, missiles, and even guns. Attached is a quick test I did to see if it would replay the track correctly, and it does not. I know the replay system isn't the best, but there has to be a reason why this suddenly stopped working. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge than I have about this stuff is able to maybe dive into this with me and figure out how to get munition deployments working again. bomb release test.trk
  4. Update: I used an English-converted file (miragef1-cockpit-05.dds) and dropped it into \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\Textures\Avionics-F1-1.zip. This worked but doesn't pass IC. So then, on OvGME, I created a mod folder directed to Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\Textures\Avionics-F1-1.zip and dropped miragef1-cockpit-05.dds in there—it also worked but still didn't pass IC. Now, there is the \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\Liveries\Cockpit-F1EE folder, but it only has the description.lua in there, so I don't think the game looks in that location for cockpit textures anymore, which is what worked before. Is there anyone from Aerges who has a solution for how to use custom cockpit textures that do pass IC?
  5. Hello, After the latest update, I noticed that the English cockpit mods no longer work, and there is no dropdown in the Special menu to even select a cockpit skin. I looked into this and found that all of the Mirage textures are now in \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\Textures. Furthermore, the regular textures are split into 2 separate .zip folders, and the Normal Maps and Roughmets are also in their own separate .zip folders. This is different than the original folder structure for cockpit texture mods normally utilized by the Saved Games folder (\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\Cockpit-F1EE\English Cockpit). I did set up a folder package that directs to the new location for the textures with the English Cockpit and it worked, but it does not pass IC due to it being in the installation folder. I'm working on figuring out how to get this to work by utilizing the Saved Games folder. If anyone has any info on this, please feel free to add your thoughts!
  6. Just an update to this thread: After searching for another way to use the Xbox controller in DCS, I came across a Tuuvas tutorial, and in his explanation of adding the game to Steam, he has a segment that says that if you notice your game is crashing, it is probably because your Target location is not in quotes...which mins was not because I had moved the game to another drive and when adding the path, I forgot the quotes... So for anyone that may come across this, be sure your Target location is in quotes! null
  7. Hello, I would like to be able to hear things while I'm in the F10 map. Not sure why the F10 map mutes everything, but it shouldn't. Ive missed many an RWR warning, BRA, or Jester call-out etc.
  8. Wow, thank you for this! For whatever reason, using this .lua fixed my issues. What is so specific about this .lua? I thought all Streamdeck profiles used the same ExportModule .lua for specific module? As far as my profile goes, its actually a number of profiles that I use for the F-16 (and a bunch of other modules). I create multiple profiles for different pages rather than folders because you can effectively swap between profiles without using that back button. It makes navigating everything much easier for me. I would provide an example of the left side of the F-16 UFC profile I use (I'm using 2 Streamdecks), but it is too big to post here unfortunately.
  9. Hello all, I'm having an issue with my Streamdeck F-16 profile. I replaced my old F-16C_50.lua with the newest one and now my profile won't communicate. Any ideas? I've created a random button to test with the new .lua and that new button won't work. Reverting back to the old .lua doesn't fix this. F-16C_50.lua
  10. I did actually notice that and try that but it also did not make a difference. I've never used the log analyzer - is it able to tell which mods have issues?
  11. I am not trying to run the Steam version, but rather launching DCS from steam. So, yes, it is standalone launched from steam to be able to use the Xbox controller profile. I will provide 2 logs, one from launching from the .exe, and one from launching from Steam method. As stated previously, launching from .exe runs perfectly fine, but from steam it immediately closes after the loading screen. I tried @Flappie's method, but that did not seem to change anything. I will remove mods and repair and see if that works. dcs - launched from executable.log dcs - from steam.log
  12. Hello All, When trying to launch DCS from steam, it crashes. It works perfectly fine when I click on the .exe otherwise. The reasom why I am trying to launch from Steam is to be able to use an Xbox controller with the specific controller settings I made using the DCS FILMING template. Any ideas? dcs.log
  13. Thank you, this was the issue! However, Windows 11 24H2 would constantly crash the Settings>Display>Graphics window - no idea why and was super frustrating to try to figure it out. I went back to 23H2 and was able to turn it off.
  14. Hello All, As the title states, after recently upgrading to Windows 11, I am noticing that background programs are noticably visually and operationally slower when clicked into the DCS window. I firsted noticed the SRS overlay would blank out, and then my Streamdeck would have up to 5 second input lag times, and discord would blank out as well. While in DCS, I would also mopve my cursor over a Chrome window and would see that scrolling is also slow to respond. Specs are: i9-13900 KF, 4090FE, 68GB DDR5. I understand that I could go back to Windows 10 as a quick fix, but seeing as support will no longer be available later on, I might as well just figure this out now. I have tried: running everything as admin disabling launcher restarting updating drivers closing everything but DCS and normal background programs that I run with DCS I am running Process Lasso Pro with the Bitsum Highest Performance profile enabled as well. Any ideas/solutions would be greatly appreciated!
  15. Brilliant, thank you for all of this! I didn't know that sumlinks were a thing, but that just made life so much better!
  16. @MAXsenna Thank you for your reply! I should add more context to this: I previously moved my Saved Games folder from the default location C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games to my K:\ drive (a dedicated 1TB SSD for DCS, but I've since outgrown it). When doing this, DCS would not recognize anything in that Saved Games folder, so I took out the DCS.openbeta folder and put it in the D:\ drive and it worked. Not exactly sure why, but it did. When trying the same operation to move it to my new J:\ Drive, the "Location" tab is not there regardless if I try the DCS.openbeta folder, or the Saved Games folder. None of the folders have the Location tab, including the original C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games folder.
  17. Hello All, Does anyone know if there’s a .lua file or another method to adjust where DCS looks for the Saved Games folder? I used to be able to change it by right-clicking on the Saved Games folder, going to Properties, and adjusting the Location tab. However, the Location tab is now missing, even though the registry key seems to be correctly set. I recently upgraded to a larger and faster SSD and moved my DCS installation and Saved Games folder over, but DCS still insists on looking in the old location. I know this because it keeps creating a new DCS.openbeta folder there, and all my settings and keybindings are being directed to that location instead of the new one. Any advice on how to point DCS to the new Saved Games location? Thanks in advance!
  18. So I did some digging and it doesn't work when ReShade detect's a network connection. Once a network connection is detected, it disables the depth buffers and therefore all DoF shaders cease to work. Funny enough, the above video is in a test mission I created in ME, but I guess there is some network connection when the game is not paused for whatever reason. This is all to block potential exploits I guess. The workaround is to use the ReShade with the full add-on support. It does warn you that you may get banned from online games if you use it. Does anyone know if this is the case with DCS?
  19. While poking around with ReShade effects, I came across the pCamera effect that has a Depth of Field effect build into it that is actually really good - check out the video I attached as a demo. It's the one I like most out of the various DoF effects in ReShade. The only issue is that it only works when the game is paused. I also noticed that a bunch of the DoF effects have an Autofocus feature, but if you turn that off on any of them, it will apply the affect with manual setup. But this isn't what I'm looking for. Does anyone know why this won't run the Autofocus while the game is unpaused? DoF Demo.mp4
  20. Being in ST was the issue. Switching to MT resolved everything. Thank you!
  21. How do you direct the launcher to run MT? I'm not sure which one I'm in currently, but I did multiple full repairs and the issues all still persist.
  22. Hello, After updating last night, I've been having weird issues. When I logged in, there was no GUI. I use the following custom GUI window that worked previously without issues GUI = { x = 640; y = 0; width = 5120; --GUI box width height = 1440; --GUI box height } UIMainView = GUI Commenting out the last line to revert back to default brought it back, but even if I do x=1, the GUI disappears. When I get into any map, in ME, MP, SP, there is no map in the F10 map. It opens, and the airfields and everything are there, but there is no background map. Rear View Mirrors are screwed in all planes (attached). In the M2k its completely transparent for whatever reason. When I load into a plane, Motion Blur freezes on the first frame (see video attached). 0821.mp4
  23. I'm looking to see if you can pull data from the separate MPD menus in the F15SE. I am trying to create a stream deck profile that will overlay the MPD menu items on the buttons. I know you can get it from the UFC with the various ExportScript.Tools.SendData IDs, but i dont see anything in this exportmodules.lua for the MPD menu data. Does anyone know if this is possible?
  24. https://discord.com/channels/1071433028045377637/1243238207668355093 I talked about this in the HB #f-4 general chat and @IronMike and user @fat creason apparently confirmed that this is what the Phantom is supposed to sound like. I don't know...I really don't think I agree. The majority of the audio files in Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft\F-4E\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Engines\J79 just sound WAY blown out to me. I understand that the sounds are a mix of these files on various loops based on angles and things and stuff, but jesus do they sound bad compared to what im hearing on prety much any youtube video of the real phantom. If these files were higher quality and less blown out, then they would probably be great. @IronMike even said that the one file I provided as as example wasn't supposed to sound like that prior to asking for confirmation, which says alot about initial reactions. Note: I uninstalled the Echo 19 Core mod prior to these clips. There are no mods enabled currently for me. I brought this up to Echo 19 and they confirmed that the Core mod has nothing to do with the Phantom sounds (pretty obvious as its brand new, but just wanted to confirm with them). Just take a look at this taxiing example @3:10 vs the attached clip. Those howl sounds trying to mimic air rushing in (I think) are not even close. I really think this needs to be looked at again. taxiing from the front.mp4 cockpit sounds helmet on - sound in helmet checked off.mp4 Also check out the sounds from inside the cockpit above (also the spool times on this engine are stupid fast - not surte this is realistic either). Helmet on (don't think this makes a difference, but it should). Canopy open "Hear like in Helmet" is checked off
  25. After switching to Windows 11, SRS now looks like this. It's like its not being overlayed over DCS anymore and I cant figure out why.
