Sounds great for hostile targets but I fear there might be a lock on a lot of things then that are not even vehicles?

There seems to be a recent bug with fix point aligning where the shark is unable to get data via the shkval method. It worked fine before the 2.9 cycle. The shkval is also unable to target lock the ground (street) at least in most of the cases. This was doable pre 2.9. please give this a look. I think providing a .miz might not be necessary because it is any file. I will provide one nevertheless if needed of cours. Thank you.

fixed Blade tip lighting does not work when rotor is at full speed.

As mentioned in the title: once the rotors over 60% rpm the rotor tip light become invisible for the player. I’m pretty sure that it’s invisible for other teammates as well. Take any dcs .miz it’s not working anywhere. im surprised this hasn’t been reported yet. -

Wir haben es uns als Redfor Helo Gruppe zur Aufgabe gemacht, ein schlagkräftiges Team aufzubauen, dass den Nachteil an Technik auf dem Gefechtsfeld durch Koordination wett macht. Dabei fliegen wir auf den meisten PvP Servern wie: Buddy Spike 80s, DDCS, ECW usw. Im PvE sind wir auch unterwegs, allerdings ist das nicht unser Schwerpunkt. Wir sind der Meinung, dass Spaß in DCS aus dem Zusammenwirken mit anderen Simpiloten, Immersion, Herausforderung und der Bereitschaft entsteht, sich im Team zu koordinieren. Hey @_Defi cool that you are reaching out and thanks . We are not so much a group for beginners, simply because we try to focus on tactical implementation and integration of helo teams into the battlefield. Still if you need some help just generally to understand the helo, say hello on our discord. We could offer some advice that would have helped when we started and we generally have some cool guys around. -
Either way, I feel that it will be harder for redfor groups in dcs to compete in pvp servers with the other side. Releasing a lot of cool blue for jets and rotors would leave quite a mark on how other squadrons are organized. As a leader of a redfor helo group I hope to get at least a modernized version of anything that is out for us already. I wouldn’t even shy away to pay full price for an upgrade.

Hello guys, It seems there is a multiplayer bug with inter flight ID no. Not showing on the Abris. I am pretty sure it’s not a problem on my end (all switches DL on, same radio channel R800, same group, within range etc). Can someone confirm any similar issues? ive tested cold start and hot start, precision alignment and AA. Same result - no symbology for the wingmen. My buddy had the same issue, so it likely isn’t something that only affects my Maschine. with mid air started helos and AI wingmen, it was fine. -

Hey Quicksilver, we are a helo team that was flying mission on Enigma Cold War in the beginning, but are flying on different other Servers both pvp and pve now as well. For training sessions, we fly on a private server. Hope that helps. -

Hey buddy, I just found this post and damn man this is amazing. I will absolutely give this a shot, since we mostly fly with multiple sharks. As I wrote in a different thread, the ABRIS is showing a desync sometimes to a point that I cant use it for navigation anymore. I will let you know if your program ignores this. If so - damn that would be so cool! -

Alright guys here is something that I found out: After hot starting on caucasus the ABRIS was black for 1:15min. When trying to zoom in/out nothing changed but the scale of symbology on the screen. One thing seems to be a workaround at least: After taking a screenshot of the interior, the ABRIS came alive instantly. The symbology and map scaled nicely as well. Also it might help to delete the files inside the "fxo" and "metashaders2" folder, which I did 24h before this game session. If you guys have simlar issues, i suggest you try exactly that. I will observe things in the future and hope this to be at least a workaround for the moment. edit: After going back to the game the same problem persists - the scaling of the map and symbology are not synced and showing lags like in the video I posted in the beginning of this thread. Still, taking screenshots or going into nvidia shadowplay seems to update the ABRIS in game. The ABRIS is still not functional in this way though. -

hello Black shark pilots, We have recently tested buddy lasing again with the BS3 and came to strange results. What are your experiences recently made? It might be a pilot issue, but it worked before without issues (pre bs3). So what is it - This might hint to a bug? this is what we found out: (Data for testing: 20°C, Syria, laser code 1 & 2, 2x shark - occasionally hopped into a new one) 1. Solo firing and designating a target via the „standby“ mode (laser designator), after range finding, results in a laser time of 56s. This allows a engagement range of approx. 13-14km. The tracking window of the shkval does make firing imprecise from this range though - it can be done. 2. designating a target for another shark cuts down laser time to 43s (after previously range finding) - sometimes the laser cuts out even 10-15s before reaching the original cooldown. I know laser range finding first decreases your laser time, still this might not be working as intended. we have done this multiple times with fresh and hot started helos - coming to the same result. 3. ripple firing kh-25 using one continuous laser does result in crashing one of the missles into the ground.

The external lights don’t have separate on - off buttons but on that does both. So instead of a ON/OFF It would be great to have ON or OFF for: Rotor tip lights, navigation light, formation lights, anticollision. concerning Nav and Form lights, since it’s a 100%/50%/10% (if I remember correctly) some bindings for „switch up, down“ would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I will do some further testing in the coming weeks, since the problem persists. Its quite annoying when you want to put in a flight plan and cant, beause if you zoom out of the Map or pan, your symbology and scale are not synchronized. -

I am sorry but I have still issues with the map being out of sync. The „padlock“ work around doesnt fix the problem although it got better - this might also be because I deleted the temporary files on the Harddrive. I will do some further testings but hope you guys can still look into things. my PC should be decent enough I have about 60 FPS on 3850x1080 with a 2080ti. The CPU is one of the high end ryzen. If you check the video I posted you see me only looking at the ABRIS. How should be ABRIS behave when zooming in and panning? Is there a delay or is it as smooth as the MPS/TSD from the Apache? -

Can you be more specific please? What exactly did it fix? There are different problems with the ABRIS performance. Its funny because I dont have any problems with the Apache TSDs. -

I can confirm - happens to me as well. The map loads in at some point though. Do you also have problems with the symbology on the ABRIS not scaling with the map or vice versa?
