  1. As title. It seems this is going the way of the Hawk, with a map missing lots of planned features, numerous bugs and barely any comms from the developer. In the months following release we were presented with a roadmap for missing airfields to be added, bugs to be fixed, improvements to textures etc. And nothing has happened apart from the devs promising that "soon" we will get a grand total of two airfields added and a vague promise of bug squashing. At what point can ED step in and force them to update? And if this isn't possible, can people who bought this map at the beginning have at least some money back? I look at other releases and see the hotfixes and such added within weeks of release, but we still can't even use the bullseye function of this map 12 months later. A crucial feature in mission building.
  2. Thanks, I did do a search but I guess I used the wrong keywords. I take it back about people choosing to use them, I honestly never considered the performance aspect as I personally don't enjoy using the older models. Mods feel free to lock this/delete if needed. I stand corrected.
  3. As the modules released for DCS keep growing, and increasing the library of flyable aircraft, I am noticing more and more that we have duplicates of aircraft in the game. Are there any plans to remove the AI versions of aircraft that have a paid module included? This is a problem that is only going to grow as the Chinook, Tornado, C-130 for example get released. We currently have the following with one old core game and one new hi-fidelity version in the mission editor; F-5, F-14A, F-15E, OH-58, F-16C, F-4E, F/A-18C, Mirage-2000, AH-64 For a couple of these there may be block differences, but I doubt any users are choosing low-poly over the new versions in missions.
  4. Same with Iraq. Though the French fictional one suits the desert and has minimal markings so I can use that for AI

  7. You have I assume every aircraft, but you're upset that today you can't learn to fly another one? You could just, I dunno. Maybe fly one of the others?
  8. On a related note, i've heard in some of the youtube previews that he tends to come out with outbursts fairly often, ie "Goddamn man, too fast!". Will "silence jester" option remove chit chat and outbursts leaving just mission specific, or silence completely?
  9. An alternate option is to simply remove the "Countries" line. It's what I do for mods I download and makes it available to every faction that way instead of restrictions. Like you said though, needs doing every update for core game.

  11. A small group of popular streamers got it early to help promote it. It comes out in 4 days, I'm sure you'll survive the wait....
  12. TLDR is be patient, enjoy the modules you have instead of whinging like petulant children because you didn't have the self control to avoid preordering. The plane will release. Nobody made you buy it early.
  13. It's a digital plane to fly around in for fun. It's not going to ruin your lives if it releases three months from now instead of TODAY, just because you want to use it. The people like myself who paid for it already got a discount, THAT is the reason to order early.They never gave any contractual promises that you could use the product at a given date. They said "we are hoping it will be released winter '24". I think a lot of people here need to really re-evaluate how they are reacting to what is a complete non-issue, and let the developers just get on with fixing the product so you can enjoy it better when it releases. Which it will, when it's ready. I say all this as a massive fan of the aircraft, but there is honestly far more important things to worry about in the world than when a digital plane gets to be flown.

  16. Relating to the Wild Weasel role, what is the reason the Shrike cannot be mounted on the belly stations? It seems the AIM-7 is the only weapon that can be mounted on the recessed stations, but the Shrike shares the same missile housing with a different seeker? Thanks
  17. Hi, I know I can do this, it's what I currently do. But it get's tiresome to have to do this for 80+ units everytime the country pack is updated. Plus other people may not be as comfortable editing luas. I'm happy whatever CH decides to do regarding this as his mods are incredible, it would just be a little quality of life improvement.

  20. Hi, Am I right in thinking there has been changes to the flight model of the Macchi? Might be placebo, but she feels more lively, builds airspeed quicker than I remember, and generally seems more "sporty". I've started using it again to improve my flying and attack basics in prep for the Phantom, and having a blast! Thanks

  22. I had the same issue with USA pack. I'd forgotten to delete B21 out of aircraft folder when updating to country packs. Didn't think to look outside of the tech folder lol
  23. Just seen the Episode1 feature on Youtube. The more I see of this "individually modelled systems", the more I worry about performance. Will using the Phantom mean we can have less AI in a mission compared to other modules if we wish to maintain the same level of performance from the sim?
  24. What I'd give for a Voodoo module, or even AI... Will the paintkit for the Phantom be released at the same time as the module?
  25. So has nobody been successful in re-adding NWS to the mod? I had a go and it caused the mod to fail to load.
