  1. One of the most critical settings is to limit the fov. Quest 2 has a noticeable portion of the screen you don't even see but it's being rendered anyways, wasting gpu power. Cutting that part out will give you additional performance. It depends on the person. For me at 0.9 I can't tell the difference. At 0.85 I start to notice the black box if I try very hard. At 0.80 I clearly see it's there. Try different values to see what's best for you. If you don't want the tray tool, you can use the inbuilt debug tool as the guy above me suggests.
  2. "Guardian angel" module from @cfrag's DML may accomplish what you're trying to do.
  3. Try these. I have a similar PC, but with an older CPU (10400), and I'm able to maintain 72fps most of the time, except when on the ground in crowded bases or flying over big cities.
  4. Funny. His post described you perfectly.
  5. It seems there are more people complaining about the complaining, than people complaining. Funny how that works.
  6. No problem mate. Glad to have helped.
  7. Set DLSS to quality and the sharpness slider all the way to max. If that doesn't solve the problem, increase the pixel density a bit. For example, if you're at 1.2, set it to 1.3 or 1.4.
  8. Look at Elite Dangerous if you want to know what happens if you ram a half cooked first person shooter into a game designated entirely for flying. Spoiler alert: nothing pretty.
  9. For a 5090 you're talking about a year at minimum. Probably a year and a half until you can get one in your hands. As others have suggested, a 4070ti Super is a good alternative right now. Enough VRAM, good performance, decent price.
  10. Two new accounts appeared on the same day writing a wall of text about ED going into subscription model. Something smells fishy.
  11. Most of the many mods I use to make DCS bearable are not allowed in MP, so I don't even bother anymore.
  12. So I've already spent money buying many modules and now I'd have to keep paying to use them? Sure..
  13. You need two things beforehand: - DCS's "Enable Virtual Reality Headset" option checked. - In the Meta Desktop App - Settings - General - Open XR Runtime - set Meta Quest Link as the active OpenXR Runtime Then power up your Quest 3, connect it to your PC via cable or airlink and start DCS. That is all. If your headset is powered up and connected, DCS will start in VR mode. Otherwise it will start in 2D mode.
  14. How could a stock function of the game itself and available to anyone be a cheat?
  15. The one included with Windows is enough. I've used Avast and Kaspersky recently, both were decent but I don't really need an external antivirus. I know where I'm clicking and what I'm dowloading.
  16. I started with the Steam version because it had regional prices, that is no longer the case, so now I use the standalone version. It's not possible to convert a standalone installation into steam version, or steam version into standalone. You can transfer all modules you buy in Steam to standalone version (that's what I did), but you can't transfer standalone modules into Steam, as fas as I know.
  17. I'd clone a single bomber group several times with late activation, set them in different positions inside the zone, and activate only one with a random flag.
  18. DCS itself has skins for the Iranian Tomcats, but for some strange reason they are on the F-18 Raven One campaign and not on the F-14 module itself. If you have that campaign, skins are called "Ali Cat".
  19. The difference here is that this isn't really "Early Access"; it's more like "Early Pay". A person who purchases the module on the day it's released gets to use it immediately, just like us who paid 6 months in advance. So, where exactly is the "early" aspect in this situation?
  20. Are you in navigation mode? I tried it last night and I fired the radar and IR guided Falcons no problem, and I don't remember doing anything special.
  22. Initial setup is a pain that can extend for weeks where you don't fly, just load -> test something -> exit -> change a setting -> rinse and repeat. Some people can't get pass that. Or it might be they try and just didn't like it, which is totally fine
  23. En el editor no se puede. Sí es posible con scripting, pero ya escapa a mis conocimientos.
