I see no point in limiting your FPS, your headset already does that for you. Which one are you using?

Thank you. I was searching for an old post explaining the procedure and couldn't find it.

From what I've been reading, there are two separate issues: - The microcode bug that sends excess voltage to the CPU, it will be fixed with a BIOS update in august according to Intel. - Oxidation issue due to a failure in production, this is not solvable as it's a physical defect inside the chip. Again, according to Intel, this was discovered early during 13th gen production and it was solved, so no 14th gen is affected, or so they say. In other words, they knew about this issue, keep quiet about it and sold thousands of 13th gen CPUs knowing many of them would eventually fail. This seems to be a colossal disaster for Intel.

They should work, but at the speed and latencies of the slower sticks. I mixed RAM types and brands in several PCs, not a problem, but always letting the motherboard manage the settings (mind you, this is a big no-no for top of the line rigs with expensive components, but it's not my case). This PC I play DCS with has 64GB, two Corsair sticks and two Kingston sticks. AMD CPUs are overall more sensitive to RAM speed and latencies. Intel ones, not to much. And I think the benefit of having more ram in this case will be greater than less ram with better latencies and speed.

Hard to tell but I think you'll be fine with medium to high settings. It should do fine if you don't go nuts with the eyecandy.

He's using Bore and CAA modes, but mistakingly says "when I have a target I will click AAR button", which adds to the confusion. We're all there mate, just discovering the Phantom, with the added difficulty of not knowing if we fail due to user error or limitations of the old hardware. It's an unforgiving but amazing plane no doubt.

Changing 10900K by 7800x3D worth It?
diego999 replied to gonvise's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This. Those stutters you are seeing in complex missions might be caused by the DCS engine itself choking on its own limitations, and not by your CPU. How are your framerates? Upgrading your memory to 64GB might be a good way to improve your rig a bit until a complete change in the near future. You'd be spending a lot of money to buy a plattform that is about to be two generations behind. Intel seems to be a mess right now, so I would buy AMD for the next months. -
Try setting a negative X offset im the special options, so the wheel moves to the left. -300 would do the trick for you I think.

I understand this as well.

It looks fantastic. A white nose and some red stars would make it perfect -

Great job! These will fit perfectly in my Iran vs Iraq missions. Thank you. -
If you were using a X or Y offset, the latest patch deleted it so the wheel is cut again. I just added the same offset I had before (-500 X) and it's complete.

It lacks bridges. You can't make complex missions because ground units can't cross rivers. And it's been this way for more than a year.

Individually. FC3 doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Their 88% GPU market share seems to suggest otherwise.

Performance issues - New launcher launches ST or MT?
diego999 replied to captain_dalan's topic in General Bugs
It did seem to improve the random stutters I was having, but I did not test extensively. As the launcher adds nothing for me, I'd rather just leave it disabled. -
I did the same. Uninstalled all FC3 modules, installed them. Now they're available again.

Thank you guys. -

Can you explain how to do that please? -
Going back to the previous version. DCS is unusable for me in this state.

Is the power draw really that high? I have mine plugged into a totally generic front USB connector and the Quest 3 battery loses 10-15% (at most) after a couple of hours of use. I tried wireless but could never get the same visual quality as the link cable, and I'm sitting right next to the router. It's good enough for most situations, but I notice it on the details (the tiny numbers on the Mirage F1's HUD are unreadable for me in wireless for example) even with Virtual Desktop.

Yes.

Is increasing RAM from 32GB to 64GB a smart idea?
diego999 replied to Ahdidaas's topic in Virtual Reality
While certainly the upgrade to 64GB will help, most likely it isn't the cause of your issues. VR performance has degraded for most of us in the last months. I went from 32 to 64, and it did make things a little better, but nothing groundbreaking. I play SP only, so if you play MP with heavy scenarios, the upgrade might make a bigger difference.
