Where did you get the trim box?

With PD set to 2.0 you have a higher resolution. It all depends on what your resolution is set to. You mention VD. Is it set to Godlike? You could try using Quad Views Foveated Rendering (desperate install) to push the centre resolution high and reduce the peripheral resolution.

I had forgotten about this mod. I must install not again. I much prefer the 20 mm over 30 mm. Gun pods would be great but I do not expect that they would have an accurate flight model.

I have not used this setup for a while. In fact I had forgotten about it. I think I bound them using using OTT and then the mouse software custom function.

Do you have any experience with the Quest Pro? That's what I am using at the moment and I am thinking about upgrading to the Crystal Super. What sort of performance are you getting with DFR enabled? Can you maintain 72fps? What do your CPU and GPU frametimes look like?

I just move my head where it needs to be and hit the recenter VR view key. Easy setup.

Not sure if this is the issue but you don't need to use DLSS swapper if you have the latest NVIDIA drivers. You can just set the NVIDIA app to use the most up to date driver.

It would be worth asking NobiWan for advice (the author).

I did a performance test the other day. Here is a brief summary of my results. I will publish the full results later. Flying over Guam at 1500ft. F4U mean 56 FPS, frame interval 18 ms P-51 mean 64 FPS, frame interval 15.8 ms Quantitative difference: 8 FPS and 2.2 ms frame interval in favor of the P-51. Qualitative (subjective) difference, negligible as both were below the 72Hz headset refresh I need to do more tests: both planes over Caucasus, Normandy and Syria. Settings: VR with VD Godlike and no QVFR. DCS mainly on maximum; does not really matter as both were the same, but I'll post full details when I release the full results; I will also include results when using QVFR.

XRNecksafer does not work very well any more. I find that the problem you mention becomes progressively worse. One possible solution is to have separate key binds for DCS recentre view and XRNecksafer recentre view.

Yes. QVFR helps a lot but it does impact on CPU performance. In my tests it increases the CPU latency by 1-2 ms. Even if your CPU bottlenecks I think you will still see a difference with a 5070ti.

I have never tried the 3080 but I did have a 4070 (which is only a lille bit behind the 3080). I got about a 70% boost in performance with the 5070ti. It works very well with a Quest Pro. However I see that you have 32 GB RAM and a 9600k so I think you might end up RAM limited and CPU bottlenecked, especially if you use QVFR.

Try changing the config settings so that the foveated region is small, say 0.2x0.2 and the periphery too a low res, about 0.3. That way you should see it easily. Then you can adjust settings from there to get the right balance of quality vs performance.

Thanks for sharing that. It is very out of character with way that Jesse is otherwise portrayed in the film. I found it very difficult to watch and I am not sure how it really contributed to the story.
