  1. After trying and studying a lot the procedures to land this Airforce version of the F4 on the carrier, i finally did it, yes ...you can't use the standard AOA or the donut to guide your right speed and AOA, you need a bit more power to decrease the Default AOA . For the carrier with this F4 version i found that between 13-15 AOA is actually easy after you get the hang of it, you need a bit more speed , be stable with leveled wings on touch down while aiming for 2wire, otherwise you will damage the gear that touches first, its very fun and to be honest i really hope HB releases the Navy version soon.
  2. i agree totally , today i looked to the default AI C-17 from ED and is in my opinion a joke for all of those in DCS who like to make their missions, i said this too many times, ED is neglecting these "details" and they aren't details anymore this is huge after 15 years not having a DCS core pack of these planes, the C-5, C17 and so on, i don't understand why? , the community has done a brilliant job, why DCS just don't buy these AI modules already from the creators and put then inside the core game, at this point is really a joke because these planes are fundamental to create missions and campaigns...ED are too worried with the F35 or the vietnam map when the main logistic aircrafts are being left behind? , and the sad story is they are already done by the community with a very acceptable quality, if users want to play certain missions they need to be doing this copy paste gymnastics and sometimes delete (users folder) so wont break the MP IC sessions. These packs should be available for so long, i have 4600h in DCS and with most of the modules and maps im getting tired of these little things not being done right away (ye this could be instant if ED look at it) , is annoying at this point. ED is speaking about the C130 for the dynamic campaigns for 4 years now? i don't believe at this point even after watching the "dcs 2025 and beyond" . Rudel those engine models look amazing ...why they are not already in the core library of the game folder? 2023 now is 2025 well maybe in 2030 they will be there, i love DCS with all my heart but DCS could be amazing and it isnt. This Sim needs some magic dust on top with the surroundings of a aviation war game. happy new years guys from Lisbon i really hope DCS this year gets these minimal details done already because the community creators have been the backbone of this Sim .
  3. yes im in, im happy to join soon you guys, i have 8 years of DCS and i have been searching for the right mature squadron, i hope to be accepted
  4. i'm a audio engineer/musician that loves DCS, another good way to make the audio files even smaller is to choose a lower bitrate when exporting like 10, will save more 27-30% in space and for dcs comms is perfect because pilots communicate even on a lower bitrate quality VHF/UHF. Im in this forum because im very interesting learning to do proper campaigns for DCS, i already have a lot planed i come from a family of airforce pilots, my father my uncle, friends as well and i was for 12 years a sergeant for the portuguese air force on the F-16 engine maintenance ground crew, so i grew up in this environment and i feel very excited to do something good even worthy of the ED Store, with the F16, F14 and the Vigen, in one year(2026) i will have something ready
  5. ok i added the Campaigns names to facilitate, tx guys for your opinions will mean a lot, i understand there are some sequels in these campaigns and those obviously should be played in the right order i guess.
  6. guys please rank in your opinion all the campaigns from easiest to hardest. After 4500h of DCS i can say i almost mastered the F-16 F14, harrier and the A10cII I have the F-18 since the beginning but i never felt much attracted to fly it, but now, after much practice in MP and SP i can handle my own in the hornet at a certain degree, still learning and getting the muscle memory for those fast reflexes and decision making during sorties. I have all the campaigns and i would like for someone, even from the ED team to advice me the right sequence to fly these sorties, from easier to hardest would make sense, here there are some opinions but they end up being to vague with just few campaigns , i would like all of the 12 campaigns ranked from easiest to hardest, i fly with no assists including radios, even with turbulence on, cheers guys it would be a big help because i can't find anywhere in the internet this topic. Sorry my English , Portuguese - Azores lajes field( Air Force base) the campaigns are F/A-18C: Aggressors BFM Campaign DCS: F/A-18C Arctic Thunder Campaign by Baltic Dragon DCS: F/A-18C Flaming Sunrise Campaign by Sandman Simulations DCS: F/A-18C Hornet The Serpent's Head 2 Campaign DCS: F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North DCS: F/A-18C Operation Pontus Campaign DCS: F/A-18C Rise of the Persian Lion Campaign DCS: F/A-18C Rise of the Persian Lion II Campaign DCS: F/A-18C Hornet Raven One Сampaign DCS: F/A-18C Raven One: Dominant Fury Campaign DCS: F/A-18C Rising Squall Campaign DCS: F/A-18C Operation Mountain Breeze by Sandman Simulations

  8. With your comment feels like you don't give any credit to the thousands of hours DCS modders put in so us can have a better experience, if you really read my comment , because i use my words carefully, i speak in major mods like JAS39 that many of us uses when creating missions for our flights or squads, yes ED should and MUST be in sync with these main mods, with a simple "true" or "false" in the scripts they can solve these giant bugs that make all the ships and feet in the simulator disappear, this weekend there will be hundreds of users on these forums without knowing what's up. ED should always do a quick test to see if everything is "rolling perfectly", lets be honest here.... ED dont need even the community to stumble upon their own code and i know they are working on it trying to rewrite from scratch much that already have been coded, and im very grateful for their work, and im much grateful for the work community modders have done in this SIM, is Brilliant to say the least. cheers man i have a plane to catch, i understand your point tho...
  9. ok found the problem in my situation was Mod/Aircrafts JAS39(user files) , yeah was weird because all ships including the one who made me alert, the supercarrier, were gone, i still think ED should always look into their scripts because JAS39 is a important module for making missions, i believe the community has done so much for this game for free and to keep it Alive the responsibility here is at least 50-50
  10. Hey draconus whats up my friend, i didn't meant to offend you...., i know you are a layer for ED, i was just asking the creator of the mission iron eagle if was possible to do that mod, well is actually a thing if you had your ears out of the helmet you could listen the sound of the fuel rushing in around 450 gallons per min , is subtle but is there even the pilots can feel it, please dont be condescending, no need for that, if u wanna talk realism: why there isnt a sound when the basket or boom touch the canopy, fuel leakage or collision detection) DCS user files is full of Hollywoodish things, some people like to use it as long it doesn't break the physics of the modules ..like the MiG 29 with a english Layout or the F-14 with a darker tone. unfortunately some of you are so passive-aggressive, not welcoming at all, making sure the other person have to feel stupid and it is the first time i join this forum to make a simple sound question, very easy to find this kind of behavior and histeria in the community, and that doesn't work , ED knows that because they keep loosing numbers in the community...is a desert, is unfortunately killing the game itself along other factors ...just like Lemoine keep saying... "its just a game with a taste of the real thing, slow down" Dear lord, there are so many of you policing conversations between users , i have seen some of my squad members afraid to ask a basic or more silly question in these forums because there will be always someone rdy to "dog fight"... yeah i should keep with Spud, bogie or Grim at YT, is way more healthy the interaction. sorry for this but in just 2 questions both were answered like i was a dummy, and i have been all my life connected to this passion besides my job as a music producer in Portugal.
  11. i think DCS ranking shouldnt stop at Colonel this promotion thing is like reputation, and DCS need a bit more of that, some DCS pilots like actually enjoy that...the loogbook in DCS is a dead book no one cares about it but the person so...improve it, after Colonel no one gcares about it, in real life pilots gain and are known for their skills, charisma and rank, DCS need a lot of sprinkle powders to make it more fun, the "fun department" is sleeping
  12. in the mission iron eagle (made by the community and is really good for those who grew up watching this movie) when you refuel in this mission the creator did something so dam simple but beyond immersive and beautiful, when you begin to air refuel you can listen the fuel flowing from the tanker hose into your F-16 if you disconnect the sounds stop is very practical because you don't need to take your eyes off the lights on the tanker belly that was so epic, is there a mod to do that permanently with all tankers? plz let me know, i have searched without success, can someone do it?? that would be such a great mod
  13. Same here...it doesn't work properly, misses the 4th wire for a couple of meters(i mean i have tried it more than 10 times in this last week..so it is a fact) , besides that the glide slope looks perfect but when approaching the deck, i can clearly see the plane is a bit high so now i disengage auto throttle and full spoilers 5-10 meters before reaching the deck. a patch would be nice by now, already ruined me 2 hours of a mission last week, i wasnt able to bolter and crashed. Anyways i have to say that after discovering DCS by buying 3 modules(f14, f16 and a10II with all the sceneries) i just left MSFS with 2100hours of flight time...Im really in love
