  1. It also affects Mk-82 and possibly Rockeyes, though that's harder to test. Bump because not being able to use Harrier's iconic feature of accurate dumb bombing with ARBS for months is really not cool. The gun is also inaccurate and consistently falls short (when in range), by the way.
  2. +1 It was a bit of a scare, changed my password on the site just in case. Still can't log in with either the old or new password.
  3. Still broken. Won't move from this position at start.
  4. It's not a fault with the campaign. ED in their infinite wisdom decided that when the ILS is turned off for a certain runway (because the other direction is being used, for example), the inner/outer beacons are also disabled. And if the airport only has ILS from one direction and only one set of beacons, and the ILS is turned off because the wind is blowing from that way and the ATC wants you to VFR land from the other direction, none of the beacons will function. If the ADF needle points to a different direction, you picked up another beacon near to the non-functioning one that you wanted. For example Senaki outer is on 688 KHz while Maykop is on 682. Yes, it will get picked up from 300 miles through the entire Caucasian mountains just to make you miserable.
  5. Low clouds every now and then is a good challenge, but it would be nice if it wasn't literally half of the missions of the campaign. Come up with new ways to make it challenging other than low cloud+MANPADS. Other than that, one of my favorite campaigns.
  6. I'm thinking of buying this, does it have basic functionality on Syria? No terrain data is fine, but can it navigate to a given coordinate?
  7. The only workaround I found was uncaging the maverick to lock on whatever nearby, even if it's the wrong target, then pressing undesignate to drop the TGP tracking and clear the target point. Without a target point you can now slew the maverick as normal and refine the target. If you increase the contrast on the DDI the maverick has a pretty clear image. Just be careful that you don't lose the target or mask the maverick or you'll have to find it again with the TGP.
  8. I remember getting stuck on this mission at the part where you can choose to ask for more details. There are two choices for asking more details, at the first choice I chose more detailed explanation and on the second choice I said I got it already. Got stuck. Flied the mission again, declined more detailed explanation and it didn't get stuck.
  9. Having the same problem. Not even the first time flying the mission, flied it a few months ago and had no problems. Tried both radios, preset and manual frequency. No reply after 20+ times trying to contact him. Supercarrier version. Do you have a script that activates the JTAC based on proximity? In the previous mission where you had to shoot a yacht, the trigger for getting close to Batumi didn't work as long as I was flying up at 40k feet for like 10 minutes. Had to go down to 20k feet before the mission proceeded. Only idea I have is that it might be a similar issue here. EDIT: Just flied the mission again. Did everything exactly the same, but stayed below 20k feet en route. The JTAC worked.
  10. I've definitely heard the player pilot say "up and on" and so on when I was above the glideslope according to ILS needles.
  11. Yeah, had the same thing. I was following him through the HMD and went "what the hell?" when he decided to try out dirt rallying, at least it was funny. Also tower radioed me after I already landed and told me I'm cleared to land (I was flying below 180, so wasn't landing too early, I think). Just some small annoyances, thankfully the mission played out fine besides that.
  12. It's helpful if you find the target with LST so you can drop the bomb accurately in AUTO mode, but not necessary. For laser guided bombs as long as you know where the target is (the JTAC talks you onto it or you have coordinates), you can just roughly drop the bomb near the target in CCIP and if it's on the right laser code it will work. That's how we do it in the Mirage-2000 which has no TGP but has LGB. For laser Mavericks you use the Mav's own laser spot search mode just like when you self-lase.
  13. It happened yet again. Now I'm reasonably sure it has to do with trim somehow being ignored. While trimmed properly during landing, the nose suddenly started to drop. Anticipating this bug, I did not increase nose up trim but instead held the stick back. When about to reach the runway the nose started rising as last time. I let go of the stick and voila, the aircraft was nicely trimmed for on-speed AoA again. I don't know if it's related, but ILS was on.
  14. Bump, still happening. Happened several times during Operation Persian Freedom campaign when landing on Al Minhad airbase. It might have something to do with trim. Before it happened it felt like the A-10 was ignoring trim. Full nose up trim was not enough to keep it on on-speed AoA, had to pull back the stick to keep the nose from dropping when going at 130 kts. When about to touch down to the runway the nose suddenly shot up, like the full nose up trim was suddenly activated that the plane was ignoring before that.
