  1. We know how it is. You are a fan of flight sims and A-10 has a steep learning curve. You also would love to fly Multiplayer but you are concerned that your lack of knowledge may be embarassing to you and you probably don't have the time to invest in a fulltime "virtual squadron". Folk could be the answer to your prayers. We are a small group of guys who were formed around the concept of "low friction gaming". Low friction meaning that we know people are busy and don't have the time to dedicate significant amounts of time to maintaining membership. We were formed around Armed Assault but now we are want to build up a player base of A-10 pilots who are looking to fly with others to learn, fly missions and just have fun really. Does this dilute the "sim" experience? We think no. We are not "milsim" but do want to give A-10 the respect it deserves as a study sim of the A-10. But we won't oblige you to go through a candidate program or learn basics before you can fly with us. We just want you on board (when you can) so we can all have a fun MP experience (including teaching each other stuff). We are trying to organise a couple of nights a week for MP games. Times aren't fixed yet but we can discuss some when people join up. So if you are Euro based (or close enough in time zones that it's not a problem playing nights european time) then visit us and sign up. If you want to fly with others but perhaps don't want to invest the time required to join proper "virtual squadrons" we could be what you are looking for. We are trying to organise a couple of nights a week for MP games. and be sure to check us out at http://www.ferstaberinde.com/folk/invite/ (click through the green dots)
  2. I'm working on this. Will have real panel dimensions soon. As in, measured in the cockpit.
  3. Hey Mustang, No worries mate. For your information I got the enclosure, switches and parts from Jaycar in Melbourne. Except for the GGG board of course.
  4. Am I right in guessing that this has lost a little bit of it's relevance since they announced being able to view briefings in mission for 1.08? I think this still has value as a reference app, but as a mission card app it probably isn't so useful. Any thoughts?
  5. Connos, Have you actually contacted someone from GG to confirm that you are out of shipping? Try that first. Otherwise google Leo Bodnar to find his board which does the same thing only different.
  6. This thread is plus 1 awesome. Thanks to all who are sharing their knowledge.
  7. Awesome post Alex.
  8. Guys....let's try to stay on topic. I meant specifically pots and not rotary switches. I agree with posts above that it seems more a problem of getting dcs to understand the values rather than hooking it up. The BS solution seems to be a step in the right direction. Seems like lua programming will be required.
  9. Nice work burnsy. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully this will inspire others also.
  10. Hey conns, You are very welcome. Just remember to post your own project if you get your hands on a USB interface so we can all learn from each other :-)
  11. Hi sick dog, Nice looking app. Be advised that releasing the app on iTunes will require you to pay $99. For this reason you may need to charge to recoup some costs. There is also a way to make apps work on both iPhone and iPad without having to make separate versions but I still need to research how that works. Before working on the iPad version I really think you should be trying to work on a way to connect it to the mission briefing. I am going to attempt this and perhaps we can join forces at some point. It must be possible, it will just take a lot of research, patience and some time. Retyping the briefing into a tool seems a little clumsy to me. If we can work out a way to get dcs to export the briefing as a xml file to a web server then it becomes cross platform as well. An serous developer writes an app that simply ads this file.
  12. Has anyone had any luck using a card like Leo Bodnars BU0836A to control a dial in the A-10C cockpit. Something like a panel lighting dial or formation lights, or a volume knob?
  13. So could I mate...so could I! I could have a totally different understanding. I could experiment by adding a pot but curiously the documentation doesn't mention anything about which types to use, or even that it is possible. Would be nice for RandyT to weigh in on this.
  14. Hey, Not sure this is true as GGG calls these "digital inputs". However, having said that, I don't understand why they don't work as on/off switches. Lemme get the name of the GGG guy. Update: His forum name is RandyT PM him and ask him to answer in this post so we all learn from it.
  15. You also need to be careful with your laser code. If you start the mission with the default loadout chances are your laser code will be set to the default 1688. However, in MP at least, if you ask for rearming from the ground crew and reload GBUs you should check to see whether the laser code in the TGP is also set to 1688. This drove me mad for weeks (not being able to hit anything) until I realised I was lasing, but the bomb wasn't seeing it as the laser code was not set to anything in the TGP. Good luck!
  16. Design Spark PCB. Free. Good. Does schematics and PCB design. Won't do testing though :-(
  17. Try joy2keys Google it. Should be able to set up multiple keystrokes I think. Not 100% positive on this though.
  18. So....problem solved? I have trouble getting what you mean sometimes snipes.
  19. A single throw switch can be used for any 2 position switch in the cockpit. This because in the lua file you define an action for "on" and an action for "off". A double throw switch and 2 joystick buttons are required for a 3 position switch (such as the Master Arm Switch). I advise you to once again watch my video on configuring your panel in A-10. Pay particular attention to when I talk about the Inverter switch. You can see that I program an "on" code and then a "off" code.
  20. Awesome NoJoe +1 rep
