  1. Hence why I was asking. It all seems a little unclear. My understanding is that is the Computed impact point. But it could be current location of AC if the manual is correct.
  2. Hey guys, Quick question. If I am on a bombing run in CCIP and have the pipper on the target and pickle, does the Z mark show the current location of my plane or the point on the ground that the pipper is pointing at? Regards, Tigershark
  3. The way to make this cross platform would be a web app. Might even consider writing it to a db somewhere on a website and have the app read from it.
  4. Snipes...a single throw switch is ok. In the A-10 config file you can program an action for off, and one for on. This will only use one joystick button.
  5. I'm getting 404 on download :-(
  6. Guys...hold back on contirbuting for the moment. Investigating a free wiki alternative that I hope will give everyone an opportunity to contribute to it.
  7. Like I said...its worth a try snipes. In theory it should work.
  8. Hey Dusty, If we could work out a way to parse radio info from the mission briefing, could you also enhance your app to provide radio frequencies for a given mission?
  9. From what I can see from the pics it seems it could be worth a try. But once again snipes, this is a thread dedicated to making your own game panel using the GroovyGameGear interface. I urge you to start a new thread entitles "Modifying a Joystick for use with toggle switches" or something so that someone else can use the thread in the future if they want to do what you are doing.
  10. Klafaille, No offence taken. I know what you mean. Send me a PM. It's a google thing so if you send me your email address you can contribute to the site using your email as the ID. I have already added Iceman.
  11. The Warthog Pit Now I need your help to fill it with the kinds of useful stuff we need to make our pits. If you are willing to help update the pages please PM me. In particular I would like to see photos, schematics and Sketchup files from Dead man, y2kiah and pitbldr. If you could PM me to give your consent and also work out a way to upload those files I would appreciate it.
  12. Here is my vision: A little server type app that runs on the client PC that communicates to an iPad or iPhone app via Wifi...sending the briefing text and relevant radio details. Any application developers out there?
  13. There has to be a way to use LUA scripting to make this automated.
  14. PS. I have looked at the wiki and it is really quite good. I am not sure though that we could add to it without polluting it with our "specialist" requirements. Something I threw together https://sites.google.com/site/thewarthogpit/panel-database/electical-power-panel
  15. @Icemaker. I could use the help! Thanks for the offer! Will have to see how I can set this up. Got so many project on the go at the moment that help would be appreciated.
  16. Thinking more...it could even be divided up by panel. For example....a section called Electrical Power Panel. Contains: - Pic from sim - Pic from real life - Dimensions of panel - Switches required - Sketchup or CAD drawing you can download - Sample builds from the community etc..etc
  17. I was thinking along the lines of a dedicated Website. Structured with sections on panel making, component sourcing, CAD drawings, etc. It would be a human made snythesis of the valuable info put in these forums. It would not be another forum. A Wiki might be able to handle this, but it is for cooperative authoring. This is more for consumption not collaborative authoring. Ideas: Panel dimensions Panel CAD drawings Panel makers (where you can source them) Fonts for panels Switch types and where to get them. Interfaces from panels to PC Pit building Electronics that can be used for pits (ie. RWR and CMs dsiplays) etc.
  18. Dude...we need an app for this. Great idea
  19. Awesome! Thanks for making this. Was it hard?
  20. Hi gents, I am seriously considering starting a site to store a lot of the knowledge in this forum into an easily referenced repository for all things A-10C. I am frustrated at losing track of some the gems contained within threads and there is a real opportunity to create something great here. My questions are: 1) Would people want it? 2) Most importantly, would you be willing to share your stuff from here on it 3) Would those people who have done SketchUp drawings and schematics be willing to give these to the site as well for others to use and learn from? Sound off. Would like to get your opinions.
  21. Hi RC, Unforunately not. From I can tell it has a strange quirk where you can only use rotary switches that come in multiples of three (3,6,9,12). I haven't experimented with it...nor have I experimented with the joystick compatible x,y inputs. Sorry I can't be more helpful there.
  22. I cant help you with that and I think you should also make a new thread for it in this forum.
  23. The only way to implement this would be to download (during mission setup) the textures of each player with a custom skin. So if you and I were playing and we both had custom skins, you would have to download mine during mission load and I would have to download yours. You can imagine how much this will increase load times as we would each download a full set of aircraft textures. There simply is no way around having a local copy of each others textures I'm afraid. I strongly doubt you will see this anytime soon...if ever. Unfortunate yes, but reality :(
