I decide not to waste space! I know it's not realistic but the whole project is not a replica anyway! So, if you see the pictures you will notice that there are two gaps on the case. One at the right of the left MFD and vise versa. I am planning to to use these spaces to export more gauges: CMSC,CMSP, RWR SCREEN,CLOCK,UHF Check http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70716 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1254646&postcount=116

No problem, you are not disrespectful!:) It's a good idea! There is really a lot of free space behind the MFDs. Especially behind the right MFD. I inspired from Superbus panel , so I planned to do a similar project but instead of building a case from scratch, I use an almost ready case. I had to cut only the space for left MFD. There was no need to drill a single hole for screws. On the other hand your idea need a lot of dremel work on the case. Also, I am thinking that there will be a problem with the distances, because I will put that in my every day desktop. I will create a plan to show you what I mean. Thank you anyway, your idea is good and I believe will fit to many desktops!

@ Supersheep I found this eBay item 7'' Monitor . He says free S&H to Germany, but you will need two power supply units (for me was plus 24€ from local store)

Thank you! At previous builds I had no room, now I have plenty to do the mess wiring technique I used to!:) Also, I believe that TM MFDs are doing pretty good job even without screen behind. Far better than trying to click the button with the mouse!

I was tested the monitors, because were in my closet for almost a year so I had to be sure that are OK! In the images , there is one screen during these testw on DCS A-10 It shows the right MFD (live) and the some rows from chat window. I am using these monitors from China. with VGA drivers. All you need is a second (cheap) GPU.

Yes! This is an old PC Case! I am editing a couple of photos to show you how it's inside. Of course the panel is not a replica of A-10 C. I have put the Armament HUD Control Panel (AHCP) and some other switches. I am using the Reactorone's files!

This was last year! Now the case housing Thrustmaster's MFDs, 2 X 8'' monitors and open cockpits USB Axes card. (Also power supply adapters and a powered USB Hub) Still Work In Progress! USB card is not installed yet, wiring needed and of course finalize it (paint etc). Thank you all for the inspiration! :) Thank you Reactorone for the files! Update I have create a diagram to show the way components are connected. Update

Reactorone, I have just try your idea. The materials are those I had already (not very suitable!) but the outcome is more than satisfiable (for me)! I spent less than two hours for this! Thank you again!!

Cougar MFD LCD Recommendations?
Swaty replied to kverdon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
There is a third road. Use only one extra monitor (17-19") ,put it below the main screen. In this case you have to find a way to move the main screen higher. You can make something like this: The set up is from Falcon ,but I a have seen similar here. I think this is the less expensive solution. -

You mean drive both MFDs using one VGA interface? I don't believe it's possible. -
Cougar MFD LCD Recommendations?
Swaty replied to kverdon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I drive main screen (LG 24) and one 8'' using main GPU (GTX 260) and I use a cheap (the cheapest!) GPU for the second. I have done something wrong and couldn't use secondary for the MFDs. Project is on hold because I had to upgrade and my new mobo has only one PCI-E slot. Monitors are plug and play but they cost me a lot because were imported from China and I learn the hard way about extra tax. The price was $160 for 2 pieces and finally I payed 276€ ( ~$400) :( -
