  1. Wasn't it earlier in the year when they said they were close to being finished?? I want to say about 4-6 months ago. Please correct me if I am wrong.
  2. +1 Will we make 2016 or pushed out again.
  3. Yeah it's like the AH-1 fell completely off the plans for BST. No news on it over a year now I believe, but that may have been due to the F-5E which is a great deliverly.
  4. We get hope every Friday.
  5. Are you talking open beta sir?
  6. Jealous mode just kicked in! I'm such a hater...:P
  7. Have not been active much on the forums lately. Maybe with this being the end of the month there will be some news to stir me up again. :) Happy Friday Y'all!
  8. Give it time.
  9. Matt will could this happen to me if I ask for a release date on these changes you mentioned?? :D
  10. To me this is always the biggest obstacle to any module being done.
  11. This is a very interesting post from an insider. I think the community should come together, take Sith away somewhere and devise a way to tell us what he knows! ;)
  12. SoH map has no bearing on the timing. This new content could be very close and we don't even know it. I hope this is the case. :)
  13. This was brought up a few weeks ago because I had some similar concerns about the F-18C and carrier modules.
  14. You sure you haven't had a little taste Sith?? Anyways it sounds very encouraging for a release before the end of the year.
  15. I wasn't sure, but I do vaguely recall something on that, so I am partially soiled. I will really lose it if I see some WIP pics. :D
  16. All I need to hear is Pacific Theater and I will soil my shorts! But yeah lets get this initial map out there with some solid units and that should hold us for a while. :)
  17. Tom...
  18. Agreed. It does sound like LNS is going to another level of flight model development to bring this missile into DCSW. This is the first I ever read about any of the teams, including ED, using CFD to aid in the development process. This is some serious business and I wonder if the environment in DCSW is being enhanced or currently able to support some of the factors mentioned by Cobra in this update. Regardless, I can appreciate the attention to detail that LNS has for this potential game changer. Thanks for the update Cobra and I hope to see this soon, but it sounds like a ton of work to be done still. Do your best team. It's appreciated.
  19. Hope you are well my friend! Will be looking forward to some multiplayer, with 2.5, in the midst of this football season! :D
  20. Enter the DCS: Tree Removal Service module for those that might become annoyed with crashing into trees on takeoff or landing....:pilotfly:
  21. Sorry Flia. We did kinda beat you up a little bit there. Considering the complexity of this sim these fixes are much welcomed, especially when you get them for both versions at the same time.

Features of the new map will include improved and higher resolution textures and elevation mesh, improved trees, higher density of ground objects, improved lighting and shadowing, terrain projected shadows, procedural grass, and other improvements. Best of all, this will be our free gift to you. DCS World 2.5 is still on track to be available in 2016.
