I wont disagree with that statement, but the frequency of updates on 2.5 have been telling. Maybe this nice update is the beginning of building on my optimism. :D Again I appreciate the update and things are looking nice! :)

Not that it is really far away, but there still seems to be a hint of uncertainty to even make this time table.

New maps are on hold until this is resolved so the way I read it this is not going to happen. I do agree with this, when I think that carriers are somewhat controllable to some degree similar to ground units in CA. I do wonder however if features/coding are in place or still planned for this year for this to be implemented.

Yes the improvements are nice, but I do wonder with the additional maps being hold until 2.5 does that mean carrier ops and other naval elements will be on hold as well?

Nice start to the weekend news. Will be interesting to see if there are more updates as far as Nevada news, but stil this release can curb the appetite for a little while. ;)

THank you sir. I am more partial to the Pacific for some reason. I guess it's because of the Battle of Midway and Coral Sea battle from what I have seen(movies), read and heard. That's another topic though. I do welcome an expansion also if that is chosen. Sounds like good things to come!:)

Sounds like you are referring to the Pacific theater, Iwo Jima? Have not seen/heard anything on a project for this area.

Hey Sith, maybe you or someone else can comment on if there are future WWII theaters planned? Also is the Normandy map considered to be a test bed for things to come for the WWII era?

Also bear in mind that they do a couple of airshows there. In May it's primarily WWII aircraft and in October, IIRC, is dedicated to WWI aircraft. I will try to return in May and make another beach trip out of it. :)

Had some wonderful time off at the beaches of Va Beach and the Outer banks about a week ago. On the way to the Outer banks from Va. Beach we stopped off at the Military Aviation Museum south of Va. Beach. For some reason I did not know about this place, but stumbled a nice find for myself. IIRC this place is owned by a collector of WWI & WWII aircraft. He apparently has some serious coin, because he has a sizable stable of planes. To our surprise we arrived just in time to see him take one of his toys for a Sunday afternoon spin... By the way, my recording abilities are not the greatest so don't beat me up too bad about dropping off. :D

From my understanding all modules will be available for any map. Hopefully there is a paved runway to take off and/or land the hog. :D

I tell you what. With these wonderful updates going into 2.5 bringing this kind of detail out. I would not be surprised if the DCS: WWII series becomes more popular than modern combat!!
