  1. Just the CV-67 itself as a regular DCS Supercarrier would be Awesome and would fill in another carrier class !! It's a big ask, but can you bring it ED?
  2. If you notice, the shrubs on the left shrink as the F-16 passes by, this is in Bremen airfield, i'm landing in runway 27: I guess this is a somewhat similar issue with other objects that "inflate into existence", even in other maps like Syria
  3. Hello. So, i created a simple mission with AI Tomcats only, on the Supercarrier, to spawn a full deck of F-14B. All seems ok, except for 2 Tomcats that collide during taxi to the catapults. The 7th and 8th. The 7th airplane hits the 8th and both get damage until removing themselves from the mission: I also attached a trackfile. The rest of the airplanes all taxi and launch, and land again, and some even get the elevator to the lower deck after parking, with no problems. I spawned 4 airplanes in the catapults, and the rest "In parking hot" with their placement entirely made by DCS Supercarrier. One other thing. The Supercarrier Guide says there is only one parking spot per elevator with the Tomcats, due to their size. But in the game they spawn two per elevator, like the Hornets. Although it seems like it's not a problem. Or is this in the guide only meant for airplanes that are coming back to ramp instead of spawn? null 20 AI Tomcats_Supercarrier bug.trk
  4. Use F4 view and move around using A W D X and Q E if i'm not mistaken...
  5. Just saw that as well lol. I ddin't check all the parking spots, but number 46 has trees like that
  6. Yes, now it seems correct in terms of limits I could only reach the values in the image with a clean jet (MiG-31K) and running out of fuel, but that was the max i got Also, the weird noise in the afterburner sound seems to be gone
  7. Cool stuff !! The filght model needs some more tweaking i suppose: Mach 5 while climbing to 100k ft, and Mach 6 going back down Also, when taxiing very slow, the airplane turns immediately if you use a bit more pedals, but seems rather ok when taxi speed increases to a more normal speed I still hear a white noise "blip" in the afterburner sound, now and then...
  8. Nice stuff man ! It really pays off to go high and fast at launch, the missile retains a lot of energy ! Yes, i only seem to get that in a boresight shot. One could get lucky and get a target in front of the missile, but it's an unlikely situation. At any rate, here is my follow-up video:
  9. Here are my tests so far:
  10. Ok, i was able to reach Mach 4.25, launching it from 67 800 ft, with no target, in boresight mode
  11. The Encyclopedia in DCS says Mach 4.5, but the best i've got is Mach 3.99. I've tried all the AIM-54 variants in different profiles. I'l try some more, but i doubt i'll get past Mach 4
  12. Thanks for your advice, i think i sort of do that, but... What was the best mach speed you got out of them in the current DCS version?
  13. Well, since i don't really want to open a new thread on the related subject. I would like to ask this: In the current DCS version (2.9.19.13478) What is the AIM-54 top speed (in mach) and what would the ideal conditions be to achieve it? (I assume it may vary for each Phoenix model, of course)
  14. Holy smokes... 100+ thousand feet, sustained. Just tested real quick the 31K variant, nice work! Steering on the ground is a bit wonky. There is some small white noise during the afterbuner sound, sometimes. Other than that seems pretty cool
  15. Cool! Do you need to first get into a Su-25T cockpit before getting into the MiG-31K ?
  16. You can also practice the training mission for Case I recovery that comes with the Tomcat module. It has a simple diagram in the briefing screen, but with some nice info. And the mission itself even has those green squares to aid in doing the proper circuit. Sadly there is no Case III training one, only Instant Action missions
  17. I assume Jester did not go to P-STT, i got the lock at around 60nm or so, the target was an il-78 tanker, the lock remained steady and accurate several minutes after it landed.
  18. at least 3 minutes after it landed, i still had a lock. I Launched one Aim-54 before and another after he landed, both failed to hit
  19. Should that be possible? An STT lock that is maintained long after the target has landed?
  20. I'm afraid the actual link for download doesn't work
  21. Doesn't seems like a smart move for 11. So you can't manage it? Or thrid party software is needed for Win 11?
  22. I'm using Win 10 and i can assure you my DCS log pointed out to parked cores in the beginning of the log file. And once i disabled E-cores in my BIOS, it showed no more parked cores and i stopped having problems (Stutters and Freezes). I also used to have stutters in another completely different game, before disabling E-cores
  23. No, i'm using Windows 10. Half the power? No, it's a 12th gen i7 12700. Only a few cores are E-cores. I don't notice any loss of processing power at all. Seems to me like Intel really droped the ball with that E-Core BS. I'm not inclined to install more third party software to solve bad engineering/programming from Intel and/or MS. It's good as it is now, for my needs
  24. Ok, but ultimately, when i looked at the DCS logfile, it complained about core parking in the first lines (now i remember it better) and although i had used some registry alteration or something along those lines to unpark, it remained the same, in terms of the DCS logfile. Disabling the E-cores in BIOS was my only remedy, at the end of the day
  25. Like i said, i had tried just about everything. I used, for like a year or more, Process Lasso, which does that: bounding DCS with P-Cores alone (or any config i want). Then, ED, after some update, advised to not use Process Lasso anymore, and indeed, it wasn't needed in general and using it would cause problems. But, some more updates after, the problems came back, and this solution of disabling the E-cores has been great so far, with no performance downside that i can observe. I'm not saying it's the best solution overall or that it will work with any Intel processor, but in my case, it was the best solution i found.
