  1. Also, sometimes, in museums and airplanes that are for exhibition only, there are incorrect instruments or some problems with them, like missing parts or parts from other aircraft. Probably Heatblur scanned an aircraft where the altimeter was a repaired one, but not very accurately repaired. That's my theory...
  2. It seems the AI refuel problems are back, at least with the S-3 tanker. Notice at the end, the probe misalignment: F-14_Wingman_Refuel_Trouble_2.trk
  3. Oh, damn! I had stutters and freezes after the latest DCS core update, and the game log file started by saying i had parked cpu cores. The only way i got to unpark them, was turning off the E-cores in the BIOS (it's a 12th gen intel i7 processor). Apparently, i have no more problems in DCS, and in another game as well, that i was having problems before
  4. With regards to our airplane, a simple thing that could be added to the external camera info, is the vertical speed in feet per minute. It's a useful info and i think it could easily be added to this info bar: null

  5. Just out of curiosity... When DCS freezes, and if you have a folder open or any other windows on the desktop while playing, does Alt+Tab to cycle between DCS and other windows, makes the freeze go away?
  6. Hello! So, the refuel probe light, very nice ! Very useful. Now i hope that ED can also improve some lighting on the tankers as well, a longtime wish. The aircraft lights are also improved in distance, but they can suddenly disappear due to clouds (i think), even if it's very thin clouds. And they become very small, very hard to see at some closer distances. But another good improvement anyway. So, i had never tried flying with a human wingman before and... i noticed the Pilot Radio UHF 1 sounds very muffled and low volume, even if i set the volume to max on the radio volume knob. It was very hard to understand him. I don't know if it's always been like that or since a patch change or if it's a MP issue... We have no issues when he is my RIO, using ICS.
  7. There is a whole thread in this forum about the performance of the Aim-54, a very detailed discussion with back and fourth between users and Heatblur themselves with graphs, etc... I'm sure you can find it. IMHO, it will always be difficult for military systems to be 100% accurate in a computer simulation available to the general public
  8. Leaking fuel by being shot at by AAA. Also, be very careful not to overspeed the flaps or they get stuck
  9. I was trying to play your track, out of curiosity, to see if it happens in my DCS as well, but you're apparently using a mod: Civilian Asset Pack, is that it? Mods can have/create problems as DCS evolves... Have you tried without the mod?
  10. Yes, i can confirm, it's fixed. The cursor works well, like before the problems. Thank you Eagle Dynamics !
  11. Yeah, me and a friend, we can confirm, the cursor works worse than before. Both the range issue and azimuth as well
  12. Thanks for the files. I downloaded. I'll try it
  13. My mistake then. I thought it had to be encoded in the .EDM. Cool! So if i understand correctly, both roughmet and normal map can be assigned in the .lua file of the mod even if they are not referenced in the .edm?
  14. Are both USB devices on a same USB HUB or on different USB ports on your PC ?
  15. If the 3d model was exported to .edm without any roughmet texture, i think there in nothing to be done. I don't see roughmet textures in the mod, i'm afraid...
  16. That is only a 3d pilot body visual thing, mostly. Puting the visor up or down does not change the brightness, but it will make you stop seing the HMCS when it's up
  17. Oh! One even took an AIM-9X to the face and kept flying !!! Come on !! (No mods installed except Tacview) Warbirds_damage_model_2.trk
  18. Is it just me, or is the damage model on AI Me-109 just absurd? They are almost invunerable whereas my Spitifre most definitely isn't Warbirds_damage_model.trk
  19. Barometric Altimeter: the left "1000ft" number, should have a "zebra" instead of a zero, i believe. (the same goes for the F-4 aircraft) null
  20. I would add to do /repair: - Exhaust not making the grass move like other aircraft do in DCS. - Altimeter: the left "1000ft" number, should have a "zebra" instead of a zero, i believe. (the same goes for the F-4 aircraft) ...sorry if anyone already mentioned these, but i didn't see them on the list
  21. Maybe what induced me in error is that, in some missions, the TACAN was set to the carrier to start with, and i thought Jester had set it when i told him to, via Radio menu
  22. Oh damn! I always thought Tune TAC on the radio menu meant TACAN, and i also think i did work in the past. But you are right it does work that way. Thanks !!!
  23. I think it doesn't happen all the time (or at least, it didn't use to), but a lot of times, Jester simply can't tune a TACAN as requested via Jester wheel. He tunes the radio to the carrier (in the attached track file example) but does not tune the TACAN. I have to manually tune it myself. In the track file you can see i change several times the TACAN from PLT to NFO, back and forth, and.. he doesn't tune it correctly. Even telling him again to do it. The mission is even a Heatblur Instant Action mission. The TACAN number in the kneeboard is correct as well. Jester_no_TACAN.trk
  24. Apparently yes, i found this video of it, but there is little info from the company, and their terms and conditions and stuff... i don't know...
