  3. I imagine someone already asked for this. Feel free to merge this topic with other(s). I would ask maybe an extra command to tell wingmen to select right target(s) or left target(s) or cardinal directions or bearings. Something along those lines to be able to sort targets when flying with wingmen and facing formations of bandits, more easily and quicker.
  4. I disagree. A quick browsing might not tell me much, i'd have to know what to look for exactly. And each RAG mission is, at least, an hour, except for the Carrier Qualifing ones.
  5. JayHawk, i already spent hours and hours playing the RAG, trying to figure out triggers, why the AI is doing this instead of that... etc... i'm ok with my grades. I don't feel any motivation to play the other missions in that format. If you can't deal with my criticisms and understand them, while disagreeing, then i don't have anything else i can say. I already explained the problems. If you don't agree, fine.
  6. First of all, i was not disrespectful about it. Criticizing a product you buy isn't being disrespectful. You can also search for the campaign feedback topic, where i criticize but thank the work behind it, even though i didn't like the product. It's rather odd you say such a thing... Yes, i didn't look at all the playthroughs on youtube and i also said it was a mistake of mine getting the campaign. But, are you suggesting people should look at hours of playthroughs (revealing the whole story) before buying??!! I didn't buy the campaign through Youtube, there is a DCS store page for that, where for instance, there isn't a text stressing it's not aimed at beginners even though there is a Youtube video just about that. But the difficulty isn't really the issue, it's the excessive scripting, even during the actual fights making everything too artificial
  7. So, this was my first paid campaign. I don't know how the others are in terms of structure, if they are similar or not. I had tried 2 free campaigns before. They were quite alright, not without some issues, but nothing big or terrible that totally ruins the experience, because they actually use the DCS sandbox game and its "systems". One even had a certain interesting randomness on wether you're getting attacking bandits or just "trespassers" on each mission. With this one I'm pretty dissapointed by the HEAVY scripting, mostly during the actual missions. Even an apparently simple mission of CAP can be heavily scripted with irrational things happening like, your wingman cruising along with an enemy that is attacking you, while doing nothing to help you. I apprecciate the effort and the voice work and the tactical teachings, but the gameplay should be the paramount asset. There is no dynamic campaign for DCS yet, as far as i know. This one is the exact opposite of such a concept as dynamic. ...Sorry, but i didn't like it. Just my honest, hopefuly constructive oppinion: In future ones, maybe sacrifice some voice work and let the whole thing be more natural DCS dynamic playing. I'm pretty confident it's possible to do.
  8. Yeah, than that does it for me then. The enemies don't even try to dodge the missiles we launch, it seems... " If Paco chooses to attack your bandit you'd come complain" Yeah, i'd come complain the flight lead fulfilled briefed mission parameters !!? Don't you think it's a bit ridiculous to leave your wingman defenseless while just watching him being attacked? What kind of storytelling is that ??!! It's basically just an interactive movie, not a game/sim, your campaign. You take DCS and use it as a game engine completly bypassing the actual game of DCS with tricks and sorcery. It's supposed to be a simulator, not an interactive movie... IMO Very dissapointed. The voices don't have to mean a tottaly scripted experience. I can understand it in the RAG part though... But since you mention that, there are big pieces of briefing with no voice at all, like the intro to this mission 11. At least, i didn't hear a word, and i can hear it in the "game" part. Total break of realism, immersion. Bypassing of systems like Jester AI... I guess it was big mistake by me, getting this
  9. So, i shoot one of the bandits with a Phoenix, one remains that fires and i have to evade... Paco AI just flies along the bandit and doesn't even try to shoot him !! I can understand the heavy scripting for the training part, but this is a mission with real dynamic fighting. What's going on?
  10. Here goes mine, not at first try. The last dogfight was lots of tries and only after the latest update did i reach the Unsat. lol About some observations people made, i should add that: -The AI does not use the same physics, it's easy to see them accelerating too fast without burners and when Paco AI "jumps" from side to side behind the tanker. -The AI will overstress the jet (Paco's F-14, 7G + ), even when you can't. -The AI behaviour may change with DCS updates (mostly dogfights, i think).null

  12. Ok i was watching this video, from February of 2023. At 44:00, you can clearly see, on the second run, the Viper bandit is just a letargic plane in the sky: In todays version of the game, he's very agressive, firing missiles at every chance, maneuvering all the time and evading missiles with ease (only after the merge). Very different behaviour
  13. I find the second run insanely difficult, i've must have tried some 28 times so far and no luck. Maybe it has to do with the current version and the behaviour of the AI ? It seems it only starts counting as a kill for the player once you cross the enemy plane, going hot (i hope), after your Fox 3 launch and Fox 1 launch. I will try to take it out with the cannon, nothing else seems to work. It outmaneuvres me easily, but maybe keeping one circles until i get a cannon shot in...
  14. I figured that much. It only happens sometimes. I was able to pull it off, but this time the second bandit (after i splashed mine) started running away east, but i was able to catch it after finding him in the F10 map. I got a "took a little too long" penalty though
  15. Trying all of it again... Mission 7, second fight (07c) I'm being attacked and hit by Paco AI's target, while Paco AI simply ignores his and all targets into the merge. Is this how it's supposed to be? I'm dogfighting 2 enemies at the same time null SaA Mis 07 - 07c.trk
  16. null Also, if your going to be super rigorous with how the player follows Paco AI, look at how he warms up 90 left and 90 right. He did it correct in the first missions. But at one point i just followed his bad example after loosing sight of him... null
  17. I fired a Fox-3, some Fox-1 and several Fox-2. But again, if i'm doing it wrong, why not count it as a failure? I'm flying around wasting my time...
  18. Man... i must be a real pain in the ass by now, but... i really have a hard time with some things. I just hit one of the bandits in the third wave (maneuvering) with several missiles and and it didn't count as a kill !!!!! (i confirmed it in Tacview) I had hit my bandit in a previous try before already, and also, no hits counted. I'm pretty sure i hit my bandit in one of the tries at least, and it didn't count. It sure counts when i get hit by a single bullet or missile. Here is one of them in Tacview: SpeedAndAngels_Mission07.trk
  19. Yes, i was doing the wrong turns. But those triggers are rather tricky. It would be better to just mark it immediately as a failure ! That way the player could understand he is doing it all wrong, instead of wandering around. One trigger i realised, for instance, is when i do half of a turn, is when my pilot says "Two off safe", regardless of distance. But like i said, doing the same mistakes, in the LGB part, the mission progressed... But anyway, i tried again and i got it completed. I saw in Tacview how my circles were wrong. Thanks for the help
  20. I only saw one pass briefed. I only hit the bomber on a 2nd pass, since i overshot the target the first one. But on the second i think i sort of made the pass as good as on the previous LGB run. I just want to progress to the next phase, i can't spend days trying to perfect the pass. I don't care if i get a bad grade. Shouldn't destroying the target grant access to the next phase? SpeedAndAngels_Mission05.trk
  21. So, i destroy the B-52 like intended. But contrary to the previous section (LGB), the mission doesn't react to the target being destroyed (Other than the DCS blue window BDA). The target, the B-52 near the old runway, is destroyed, it's no more. Paco doesn't seem to acknowledge and i get no other option in F10 except repeat section. I don't see Paco anywhere either, i only see an Enfield11 F-14 at Groom Lake...
  22. Ok, here is an important update about the issue: It seems, it might be a mission editor sort of problem. I have the good fortune of having a friend who plays as my RIO. He quickly noticed that the bombs had an enormous code of lots of digits, something impossible. The way we corrected it was by doing rearming and changing the codes on the bombs to, for example, 1686. After the rearming everything went normal and correct. I suppose, as long as we ensure the code is correct on the kneeboard (4 digits, 1st digit is a 1, etc), Jester should not have trouble with it.
  23. Exactly! It seems it's a laser code error! I just tested it. Jester simply insists on putting the wrong laser code !!! I tried telling him the laser code but he just puts some random one. I guess i can forget playing the next mission of the campaign i bought...
  24. By disable do you mean just not make any calls to him? Or is there an actual total disable option? And what about firing the laser after dropping the bomb? One has to keep the laser on the target until the bomb hits
  25. Fenced in. Jester locks the target and lases the target to the very end (apparently). I'm flying aligned and level But GBU fails the target. I attach a track file. F14_GBU_Fail_02.trk
