Hi all. I've been searching the forum and YT... finding bits and pieces but just wonder if there's an all-in-one answer somewhere (fingers crossed). I'd like to use my PC as the host so a friend and I can do some coop missions (found on ED user files). I understand the basic steps from the DCS Multiplayer screen, but it seems there are additional steps required outside of DCS (Windows, Firewall, Router, etc.). Appreciate any help here. I'm not a SW or HW or IT Admin, so please don't assume I know what / where stuff is. But, I'm willing and able to learn. Thanks!!

I appreciate the nice visuals and attempt at a marketing piece. But, really hoping they invest in translation soon. The use of 'not-quite-right' words and phrasing is distracting. I just want the best for WW, because I really like their stuff!

@Muas I have this device. I find there are many options for spring loaded vs non spring, axis vs non axis. So, I would bet that you could find a combination that works to your liking. Sure, some of the button / wheel / encoders may not be 100% realistic to the specific airframes, but the flexibility is key.

Aligning AB detent and Throttle Calibration (How to)
Keith Briscoe replied to MustangSally's topic in Winwing
I think also you can manually enter the %, so if in game it is lighting too soon, perhaps go up 1% (maybe 2% pts) higher. Have you tried this? -
Broken pin / connector for R/L throttle grips
Keith Briscoe replied to Keith Briscoe's topic in Winwing
Well I decided to try to move the connecting rod, saw that I could slide it. Slid out from left grip and pulled the rod. Lucky for me, the nub / handle also fell to the ground. So I have both pieces now!!! And now back together again, yay!!! Thanks to each of you for your attention and help. I hope this could help others in the future. It could almost be worth it to put a dab of general purpose lock'tite on threads of that grub screw. All done. -
Broken pin / connector for R/L throttle grips
Keith Briscoe replied to Keith Briscoe's topic in Winwing
yeah, that's what I was thinking Phantom. May have no choice but to slowly and carefully disassemble. It doesn't really freak me to take all the bolts out of the bottom plate. Just don't know what I'm going to find and hope there's nothing tricky required to re-assemble (shouldn't be, but still). I expect I'll get a follow up chat message from WW cust svc tomorrow (Monday). -
Broken pin / connector for R/L throttle grips
Keith Briscoe replied to Keith Briscoe's topic in Winwing
That's helpful Rob. Yeah, I hear something rattling but no idea if it fell all the way into the base. I'd prefer not to open her up. WW customer service provided first response already, so I'll see what they suggest and offer. I'm not looking at it now, but it wasn't clear how I would get the main magnetic pin out, but suppose I can just disassemble the grips and eventually get it. Then Im hoping I'll be able to fit in a replacement slide pin. I don't recall how that pin is secured inside the right grip. -
Doing a little maintenance on my rig, I removed the section that has my throttle mounted. I heard some rattling. As I looked closer, the "nub" on the pin that connects the Left and Right grips is GONE... I wonder how they are staying together, since I thought the nub was essentially the lock. I have just sent a ticket to Customer Service.

correct as-is F-16 performance in dogfight
Keith Briscoe replied to Jasiński's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Just a +1 on the notes above from @darkman222 (by the way, pretty sure I've seen you on DCS Dogfighters). I'm still new to DCS overall, but it was essentially night and day when I went to PvP dogfight arenas. Viper vs F18 is not fun... but Viper vs M2K is just sort of funny (and depressing), unless perhaps the most advanced Viper DCS pilot is at the controls. I've personally been on the losing end (not a big surprise) of a dancing/floating M2K several times. Forget the guy's name. But, my only "wins" (that's what I call it) were 2x managing to pull him from behind me into some sort of spiral / scissors where I brought him close enough to me that we collided (twice!). Hey, he didn't get to shoot me - so I'm taking the "W". Oh, I just remembered... I was actually in a Hornet because I learned the Viper gets killed even quicker when I'm piloting it. BFM vs players is hard! But fun. But really hard. -
DCS Aircraft seem to roll left or right
Keith Briscoe replied to Scott Mullin's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
Another idea... while in plane, hit ESC got to Adjust Controls, then on the bottom click "Rescan Devices" (I believe that's what it's called). This has fixed glitchy controls for me in the past. -
How about some pics of your throttle from different angles? Just sounds very different than mine.

As a still new (3 months, 94 hours) DCS user, I'm very much learning 'what are the possibilities'. The 2024 and Beyond video (and many others) amaze me with the visuals. I'm assuming there must be many historic threads on graphics settings (very much unique to each user's system), so I will start digging into that. My stuff seems to work and look good, but definitely interested in the list of subtle ways for improvement. Appreciate any direction to previous posts/threads.

I'm surprised to hear this.... mine is very positive.. Throttle clearly stops at Mil and requires real push. In fact, I can't really even push over WITHOUT lifting the fingerlifts (at least, I don't want to try for fear of breaking the fingerlift mechanism).

thanks for this... now this is cool and helpful!! And for the other topic/comments about sound cards... I have ordered an inexpensive 5.1 external sound card that should arrive tomorrow. I expect to connect to the BK amp (single buttkicker transducer) and the Nobsound amp (fronts left and right transducers) and hopeful I can figure out how to send sounds to each of these. @=andre= above you mention "Sound module low frequency sound samples array contains the information how to engage every shaker for every effect. You can easily change this information in the samples with the latest version of SimShaker Sound Module." Is there any more specific instructions on how to do this? Is it just with those sliders? Thank you. -

quick question @Hiob, how do you set the threshold? Thanks. -

Well I guess I see the problem... my "sound card" (soundblaster play 3) ont has one output. I mistakenly saw the y-cable as 2 outputs. Dumb me. So the next question is, what multi output external/sb soundcards do you all recommend?? -

Thx for the help Andre. I now have 2.37 for the Module. But, I think my issue has more to do with my hardware setup. So, appreciate anyone trying to help here... The question is around how to use multiple amps for different transducers. When i go to Sound Module and "test shakers one by one"... I really only feel the main buttkicker below my seat. 1 & 2 have strong bass; 3 & 4 have SUPER strong bass; 5& 6 have soft bass. Nothing really going to those front 2 pucks. And... even if I reduce gain for each channel, there is no change to how things feel. -

and the dumbest question... how do I get this to update to 2.37? I have a check mark on "Check for Updates". but i'm still at 2.36 -

Thx Andre. i connected my set of transducers to one sound card now. But I think I need a little more help. Here's my setup: Soundblaster 3 Play usb sound card -> 3.5mm y cable that connects: a) via 3.5mm to RCA cable into BK bka130 amp that ultimately drives the buttkicker b) via 3.5mm male to male into Nobsound amp that drives 2 Dayton Audio pucks Should I be able to assign effects to each of the transducers separately... or must they all get the same amount of effect for any one setting (value) for each effect? Appreciate any other advice. -

Hello all! I've just joined the SimShaker user family - so cool!!! I apologize in advance since I'm sure my question has been answered before, I just cannot find it as I reviewed this thread... I have 2 usb sound cards that i have attached to bass transducers (1 driving a BK under back of rig; 1 driving 2 small dayton pucks at front of rig). Each of them work fine independently. But, how can I use both of them together?? I assume this can be done and I can assign effect values for each sound card, or possible each individual transducer? Thanks in advance!! -
Looking for new VR PC Build ( Tips needed )
Keith Briscoe replied to Quekel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
if you have space, larger case seems fine especially to allow upgrades as needed. at the point you're at, I would def spend extra $400 to get 4090 if that's the difference and an available option. With your budget and means from what I can presume, i would get the top GPU available. But, perhaps you think 4080 then a 5080 is a better way to go. We can only guess. Overall, you are making me jealous!! Enjoy. -

Gray sheepskin covers on the front seats of my first car, 1980 Honda Civic - plus real wood gear shift knob! At 16, it felt like i was flying a Viper. -

Just want to say I like your style/choice in pc gaming... combat Sims and racing sims!! I just recently converted my 8020 racing sim (primarily ACC) to be used for dcs and il2. I'm on 2080ti and i7 9700k. Now I'm thinking about vr too. So, I'll be watching your thread closely. My current pc was a custom build with NZXT. I expect I'll use them again when I'm ready. But I assume not cost effective for EU. -
Wow...cool
