  1. Thanks for the suggestion, tried this without success. After doing more tests this morning it looks like I've hit a device limit. I am not sure whether the limit is coming from DCS or from the VPC software. Since the software is "seeing" all the Winwing devices as well, it may be from VPC software. If I unplug a device and connect another, it appears. Now trying to daisy chain one of my panels so both the stick and the panel are "seen" as a single device.
  2. I am having some trouble setting up my interceptor pedals with DCS, and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. Here is my setup: VPC button panel VPC CM3 base w/ Warthog stick VPC CM3 throttle Wingwing PTO2 Winwing MIP (VR) VPC Interceptor pedals Everything is working fine in DCS, except for the rudder pedals. For some reason it is not showing up in the upper columns in the controls binding menu. All devices have been calibrated. Weirdly the pedals are showing up in the VPC software, I see all the axis inputs are correct, but not showing up in DCS. I have a lot of devices (not including keyboard and mice), is it possible I reached a devices limit in DCS??? I don't think my issue is hardware caused because I can see the rudder pedals working properly in the VPC software. Any other idea? Thanks
  3. Thanks for the answer Baltic!
  4. Just a US Navy nut question. Are frequency "colors" used exclusively as keywords in a realistic comms plan, as seen in Raven One campaigns? Could any other keywords theme could be used to the same end? If so, is it an Air Wing or Squadron level standard? Just curious, keep those campaigns I love them! Nothing quite like it out there!
  5. I always play DCS in VR, so I have my MT desktop shortcut with the force VR option enabled. When I play VR I set the lowest resolution possible for my VR mirror screen. I also do some mission editing, and when I open DCS with Open Beta shortcut, it keeps my VR resolution in flat screen, so I have to manually change it which resets the game every time I switch between VR and flat screen. Is there a way to force DCS resolution for each shortcut? So that when I open it with my MT desktop shortcut it goes VR low resolution mirror and when I open Open Beta flat screen shortcut it goes full ultrawide resolution? Thanks
  6. Thanks for your answer. Though MGRS is more convenient once flying in your confined AO, I can see why lat/long are better suited for a larger area. Makes sense.
  7. I was doing more CAS stuff in the Hornet recently, and learned to use the MGRS. What a game changer, so much more convenient to use, especially when you have to punch those in-flight. The possibility to quickly convert coordinates to fit the level of precision you need is also very useful. I was wondering, out of curiosity, is it common for naval aviators to use it in-lieu of regular long/lat coordinates? And I mean not only when they interact with JTAC but also for general navigation stuff? From what I've read MGRS is widely used by the Army, but what the other branches?
  8. Update for this. I found out a partial solution to the problem. It seems the drogue won't come out for whoever is not hosting on initial "Intent to refuel" call, but will do on clear precontact. So: Initial "Intent to refuel" call: drogue is deploying and visible by host only, whoever called it. For other players it remains stowed in the pod. "Ready precontact" call: drogue is already deployed for host. For other players. Once "cleared contact" call is sent from tanker, the drogue starts deploying from the pod. I don't know if this is normal but it is definitely weird. In the track I sent above I did not get to the cleared contact part.
  9. Invisible Drogue - Host.trkInvisible Drogue - Client.trk See attached for track files. I created a new simple refuel mission today to make sure my other mission file was not corrupted. Same thing happened. The Host track is mine (VR mirror 1280x768), we get by the S-3, I make the call to the tanker and it drops drogue. The Client track is from my buddy (same track but from his perspective). As I make the call the drogue comes out for me, but not for him, he always sees the drogues stowed in the pod... Has someone else experienced this before??
  10. No mods whatsoever, fresh install! Should have specified
  11. I'm training a buddy for AAR (F18). I did a simple open mission on my own server, take off a CVN and head out for refuel. Every time we hit the tanker, my buddy does not see the drogue coming out. I tried: - Having him do the initial call. - Doing the initial myself. - Aborting and having the other guy call it. Every time it is called, either by him or me, I see the probe coming out but he does not. I tried with both a S3 and a KC-130 with the same results on multiple occasions this week. He's literally right next me in formation Flight with me and does not see it. Is it a bug or I have to configure something in the editor for MP usage of tankers??? Thanks!
  12. I have the same issue with my Pimax Crystal. The workaround mod works for me as well. Hope they fix the issue soon.
  13. Thanks so much for the support Badger, this is the first campaign I am doing in DCS and was so bummed out about this before finding this thread. I am buying Serpent Head 2 as soon as I am done with this mission!
  14. Thank you so much you are my savior! You were right to ask to check, because when I did I realized cores were still parking! I tried disabling through the BIOS and through that registry editor everybody is talking about, but there is apparently a second registry editor to modify for hybrid CPUs like my i9-13900. CPU Unpark did not seem to affect this second registry, so I changed it manually like that guy recommended in the thread you referenced (through the power plan settings). What I did is referenced in the following post, everything works now, no more parking, no more crazy stuttering on menu opening. Hallelujah! https://forum.dcs.world/topic/328792-mt-freezes-even-in-main-menu/?do=findComment&comment=5318855
  15. I actually completely turned off the core parking through the registry editor, no joy. This morning I tried migrating from Steam DCS to Standalone, same results.
  16. Hi, I have read some posts about stuttering problems in MT, but most of them are dating back from when it was implemented, and I am wondering if I am the only one still having problems. I have a lot of stuttering with my MT version of DCS, at very random occurrences. Basically, 50% of the time I open up the game in MT, I need to Ctrl+Alt+Del shut it because I get a frame every 5 to 10 sec, in the menu.... the other 50% of the time it runs fine, sometimes it starts mid-flight for a few seconds. This is so frustrating to the point I was running ST because my pc can afford running it VR without DLSS. But now I want to try Quad Views and I need to run MT unfortunately. Here are my PC specs, honestly I really don't think it's an hardware issue. CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K RAM: XPG Lancer DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 6000MHz CL30 SSD1: Samsung 980 Pro 2TB SSD2: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB MB: Gigabyte z790 Aorus Master VGA: GeForce 4090 RTX Pimax Crystal VR (just upgraded from an HTC Vive Pro 2, had the same issue with it) It is very weird because when I exit this game-breaking stuttering, my task manager CPU usage is usually below 20-30%, and the pc runs butter smooth as soon as I'm out of the game window.. I've spent a lot of hours optimizing my VR settings, and whatever the settings are it does not seem impact this stuttering issue incidence. Thanks for your help!
  17. Thank you so much for your answer. I have been doing testing on my own and I seem to reach the same conclusions as you.
  18. Thanks for letting me know, I will follow up!
  19. Is it possible to see the kneeboard on the actual leg of the pilot while showing its body? I am playing VR on the F18, I'm not interested in the 3rd party apps for the kneeboard, I just want to know if it's possible to look at it on the blank kneeboard space on the pilots leg. I have a high resolution headset and could probably see well. For now I'm popping the KB window with "K", it works but could be better for immersion.

  21. I've started a deep dive on fighters maneuverability. I found a brilliant data study by Contact Light . While its summaries are very good, there is still a few things I am not sure of. Since I'm flying the F/A-18C, I will use this example. Referencing the F/A-18C E-M diagram at page 9, I am not sure of the effects of various factors on the curve & performance indicators. I'm not necessarily looking for precise numbers, but rather general performance trends that could be applied in dogfight situations. I've put my assumptions down here, are these correct? Altitude: since KIAS & Mach already include the effects of air thinning at altitude, my guess is that the speeds themselves (for max/min turn rates and radii) would not vary a lot, but the performance indicators would, effectively "compressing" the whole enveloppe down. e.g. max. inst. turn rate would stay at 310 KIAS, but rate would drop from 25 deg/s. So: Altitude+++, Speeds =, Turn Rates ---, Turn Radii +++, Max climb +++ Weight/load (drag): it definitely affects specific power Ps, so I guess that would bring all the Ps curves down within the same envelope? That would have a slight effects on the speeds themselves, but more so on the indicators, maybe not as much as altitude? So: Weight/drag+++, Speeds -, Turn Rates -, Turn Radii +, Max Climb --- I may be completely off-track here, if I am please let me know.
