  1. Certainly, some users might suggest utilizing DFR for DCS, as it can offer significant performance improvements. However, with FFR (by Light), you can achieve almost the same level of performance, albeit potentially with a slight loss. With more users receiving the headset, it's likely that you'll come across useful reviews soon. These reviews will likely include benchmarks of Light in DCS without FR, providing valuable insights.
  2. https://support.pimax.com/en/support/solutions/articles/60000835019-updating-headset-firmware(pimax-pc) Here you go buddy. If you're not familiar with the process, I suggest submitting a support ticket. Our technical support team can remotely flash the firmware for you.
  3. Have you attempted to reinstall the client? Prior to doing so, please make sure you've thoroughly removed all the Pimax files and folders. 4. Sure, you can choose from one of those three options, or click on "Custom" to adjust the render quality according to your preference.
  5. Personally, I don't want to come across as too biased, although it works well for me. However, given my affiliation with Pimax, it would be best for you to consider reviews from other users. That being said, I do prefer the Light over the OG Crystal because of its lightweight design, allowing for longer sessions without feeling tired. Additionally, it's worth noting that some users heavily utilize DFR in DCS. Therefore, there should be some comparisons between DFR and FFR game performance soon by our users. Please keep us posted mate!
  6. It's refundable within 15days. We decided this because we want more people to try the headset, so terms like "DEPOSIT" sound off-putting. Maybe we should rename it as a program instead of a payment.
  7. I have edited it. Sorry.
  8. Check out more about the Light here: Pimax Crystal Light. You're most welcome, mate! I hope you enjoy our product and have an amazing time flying DCS in VR! Cheers.
  9. This issue has been reported to the dev team, and they are investigating why the eye-tracking stops working after some time. The calibration result will be saved.
  10. It's temporarily mate.
  11. Yes, you can purchase a replacement cable from our webstore. If the headset (aside from the cable) is defective, we offer repair services. Should you need this assistance, please file a support ticket, and our support team will provide further instructions. Yes, users can obtain a replacement and install it themselves. The lenses cannot be repaired; they can only be replaced with a new pair. Yes, the stock controllers are listed on our webstore. You can purchase them later if you want to play games with controllers. The controllers can be repaired with other Crystal ones; you'll just need to pair them via the client (PimaxPlay). It depends on which third-party headphones you're using and if they fit. The stock headphones can be removed. Production is ramping up, and we expect the shipment will commence by the end of May. Typically, it takes around 4 weeks to fulfill the order. When you proceed to checkout, the VAT should be included in the total price. For warranty/returns, we will require you to ship the headset back to the designated local warehouse. As you are based in Australia, there is one warehouse, and another one is in New Zealand, if I'm not mistaken. I assumed I have answered all the questions, if there's any miss, let me know.
  12. Maybe you could consider the StudioFormCreative's Crystal foam pad? https://www.studioformcreative.com/product-page/pimax-crystal-pu-face-foam-leather-ultimate-upgrade-kit
  13. Today in our Progress Update: Pimax Crystal Light shipping starts soon Wide FOV lens update Winners Frontier giveaway Pimax Progress Updates is our bi-weekly column in which we share important bits for Pimaxians. For questions or comments, reach out to a Pimax representative on Discord, or contact us via our support page. Pimax Crystal Light shipping starts soon In our internal testing, the Crystal Light runs extremely smooth, as nearly all of its features are inherited from the Crystal. The beta test has already started, with headsets having shipped out to selected users across the world. Not just that. The Crystal Light has already had its first offline demo at the 2024 Chinese Formula 1 Grand Prix, with the European and US roadshow starting soon. We're also ready to ship the first batch of pre-orders at the end of this month. If you've pre-ordered the Pimax Crystal Light, please keep an eye out on our social channels or your email, as we'll soon reach out to you for the final payment Wide FOV lens update The design has been finalized and we've shipped around 50 sets of lenses, yielding some positive reviews as well as suggestions to work on. Neil from Player1 Sim Gear: "The reason you need to get the lenses on your Crystal is because of the sense of speed. The additional 10 degrees on the outside of each of your eyes, gives your brain significantly more input on movement." These earlier batches were made with a lens mold designed for small batches. We are now in the process of upgrading to a large-scale mold for the wide FOV lens. This mass-production mold should be ready for production around May 25th, continuing to ship to customers in June. Winners from the Frontier giveaway As said during our Frontier event, we'll provide prizes to selected comments. 19. Hi Biggles, Hmm. If it's not the purple, then it's not the eye-gaze settings on Quadviews. Let me check my setup and I'll get back to you shortly.
