  4. Could you please check whether the "Active Chaperone" is turned off? What is the render quality set to in Pimax Play? Personally, I find that DCS performs better with OpenXR (using either Pimax OpenXR or PimaxXR).
  5. Please be assured that our development team is currently working on a patch to enable offline mode. This will allow users to log into Pimax Play and access Device Settings without an internet connection. We will provide detailed patch notes and instructions once the patch is released.
  6. Hello, Only the new headsets that participated in the Prime program will require authentication. This will happen once a month or, if you choose the one-time payment option, only once. Yes, non-subscription or subsciption headsets always be accessible, with both account and guest logins. However, the recent server issue affected users trying to log in with both account and guest logins. Users who were already logged in did not encounter this issue. No, the recent issue is not related to the latest firmware or update, but a problem with the main servers. That's why we're adding an offline option to provide users with more confidence that their headsets won't turn into paperweight.
  7. This issue is related to the login server, not the bricking the headset. But, good news is the developers are currently working on an offline mode that doesn't require an internet connection.
  8. Today we had the first server outage in over a year, which lasted several hours. Here's a bit more about that. Today's situation: During today's server outage, many users were unable to open Pimax Play and use their headset, unless Pimax Play was already opened. This outage was related to Pimax Play's login process, and completely unrelated to Pimax Prime. Prime has minimal online requirements, and none after it's been paid off. Prime only checks whether payment has been made a few times: When being activated; 14 days after being activated; Once a month after that, unless or until it has been completely been paid off. In that case, it has zero online requirements. Going forward: Pimax Play already has an option to use your registered account, as well as to use a guest account. In our next client update, we'll add an offline option that has zero requirements to connect to the Pimax Play server (or any online server, for that matter). We will also investigate what caused today's server outage, to prevent this from happening in the future.

  10. These settings are local and have no relation to offline mode. Offline mode will only affect the Store (where you purchase games). Is this a client-side update? If so, I have submitted this bug to the development team, and they are currently investigating the root cause.

  12. For roomsetup, you can also use head tracking combined with the volume (+) button as a clicker. The passthrough feature uses the tracking camera. If you're looking for high-resolution and color passthrough, you'll need to wait for the MR faceplate to become available

  14. The "Video Passthrough (Lab Mode)" must be activated before enabling either Passthrough or Active Chaperone. If it is not enabled, the room setup will revert to an earlier version, requiring you to calibrate the center, enter the room height, and so on. Once enabled, you can configure the room settings directly within the headset. Think of this option as a switch that enables these two features. In offline mode, you can still access device settings, pair controllers, and perform similar tasks. However, purchasing games from the store will require an internet connection or activating the headset. Most features remain accessible while offline.

  16. This version was initially intended as a beta release. However, after thorough testing and finding no major bugs, we have decided to make it a public release. It is no longer limited to beta users. We have resolved the issue with the foveated rendering status display, which now applies to the Crystal headset as well. If you have not paired a controller and are using the volume button as a clicker to configure the room settings, it may conflict with the volume display. The development team is currently reworking the logic to address this issue. Setting Pimax Play to "offline"? Currently, unless your system lacks an internet connection, it is not possible to set Pimax Play to "offline." However, this request has been forwarded to the development team, and they are working on a solution. Could you please elaborate more on #4 question?

  21. "Pre-prime hardware"? By that, do you mean headset ordered by a user before the Prime program was introduced? If so, it will be not affected, since they will pay full on the website.

  23. The latest client version 1.35 has been released. This update introduces the Prime program, which requires new users to download the updated client. Aside from this, no significant bug fixes have been included.
  24. The "Check for Updates" feature will work when the update is rolled out to all users. If you don't receive an update prompt after clicking it, it means the update hasn't been released to you yet or is currently being rolled out to a small group of users.
