  1. Installed…I’m not putting any screenshots. Let you guys experience it yourselves.
  2. After the update is done ( it took me about 25 min) - you will get the red dot on the module management button. Then this will appear.
  3. Was it really 22nd ? then I take all updates back. I thought they said 21st.
  4. It seems there is delay beyond 21/05/2024 15:00Z.
  5. Hi guys, after receiving the news that the heat blur F-4E is finally being released this month, I have now softened my hardline stance of not pre ordering. I am now thinking to go ahead with the preorder of the CH-47. Regardless of the features or what not. I like this helicopter a lot and had also purchased it in XPlane 12 as the XTrident offering. If anything, EDs CH-47 would take advantage of DCS advanced features and be better. Here’s to loud and varying start up sounds!!!
  6. Pre payment of digital goods without a fixed and specific release date, isn’t a suitable course of action for me anymore. Nevertheless, I Will buy the CH 47 once released.
  7. Now, we all know the concept of pre orders - a buyer pays in the hope that one day the product will be released by the developers. Imagine an alternative reality, where we have the concept of pre-releases - a developer supplies a product for free to the buyers in the hope that one day the buyers would release the funds. (A kind of donationware)
  8. I have seriously considered doing that. However, it is still a loosing game, because you may recover the pre order money, but you have lost so much time hoping and anticipating a product that hasn’t been made available yet. it will become available eventually, my terrible mistake was to fall for the hype and discount and to pre order. Refunds will not help. Not pre ordering software ever again will help. At least from my viewpoint. The few dollars saved to pre order vs the price of it once released is easily offset by the wonderful fact that the product is actually available. okay guys, let me go pre order some eggs.
  9. The F4E experience has been the reason to hold on for purchase on/after release, regardless of the product. Paying the higher price for a product in hand, is for me, the more sensible option.
  10. Guys I think I have got the hang of it now. The full engine rpm must be applied once the rudder is active. Not in the beginning while holding the brakes.
  11. Farnborough but I tried others too without success.
  12. The DCS mosquito cannot get airborne. I only managed twice out of the fifty or so attempts. It’s impossible negative chances of getting it in the air. Won’t happen.
  13. Guys Thanks for the recommendations for the I-16. I may well get it next sale
  14. Guys, Guys - I have discovered Warbirds!!! Instead of agonising over the F-4E - I am botched-take-off-crashing Mosquitos, P-47s and BF-109s in Normandy. My take off attrition rate is currently 87%.... B!tches to take off, the lot. But it is fun when you do actually take off...Besides, it sweetens the F-4E wait.
  15. Talk about challenging. The flying the combat and engine management immersion is by far more than any modern jet. And the frustration. So many things can go wrong as well.
  16. Well I press this charging button and there is no result. It does not seem to work.
  17. The thing that enabled me to actually take off in the Mosquito is the elevator trim down.
  18. Are the runways of the short fields of Normandy, sufficiently long enough to enable take offs of warbirds such as the above ??
  19. Yes that is how I do it. Yet achieving 100 mph is almost impossible and it is just too slow to take off. I end up crashing as a car would at the end of the runway.
  20. I do not understand how the boost is achieved. Do I need to rotate the valve which is partly obscured on the left upper of the panel? How do I boost? I never achieve more than about 80 mph during my take off roll and my tail never lifts up.
  21. While at the same time a bit disheartening, it is totally understandable and quite frankly I expected this and had previously estimated a April/May release. I hope Heatblur can complete their project well, however long it takes. I wish them good luck with that.
