As i mentioned in my tread starter its a 240GB SSD exclusively for DCS/Eagle Dynamics. If not for 3 Maps and 8 modules 42GB would not have been a big deal but sooner or later additional updates and new modules would choke up the drive for good. So i went to my local hardware store and got myself a 480GB SSD by Gigabyte (Kingston was sold out) and am now transferring the whole Caboodle, hoping that i won't have to by a 1T for at least another year "Fingers crossed":doh::lookaround:

OK … So it looks like i will have to get myself a bigger HD, i hope 500GB will be enough fore a while, it looks like my local hardware store is running a sale on 500GB Kingston and Gigabyte SSD's i think i will get me one of those. Cheers GRIZZ

Running DCS updater to install 2.5.5.31917 today, being quite sure to have enough room on my dedicated DCS 240GB SSD with 39GB to spare. Suddenly i get informed that there is not enough room on my disk because the update needs 42GB of disk space!!!?….. Does that mean that DCS discreetly informs me that 240GB no longer is enough and that i now have to either remove installed modules or get myself a 500GB SSD just to get enough space for coming updates? Could there be something wrong with my installation or is it totally normal to be prepared for 500GB of content ? Thanks in advance GRIZZ

According to what i have learned from watching and listening to different youtube videos and podcasts the RIO (In this case Jester) should deal with almost all ATC communication on takeoff, approach, and landing at airbases and Carriers. Does Heatblur have plans to implement this in some way or should we wait until DCS has improved the coms menu. Thanks in advance GRIZZ

When i start DCS updater and press "update Now" Windows asks if i will allow DCS to make changes …. After pressing "Yes" the updater starts up Notepad to display the changelog and then starts up the game V. 29585 instead of updating to V.30038. Any advice what to do? Thanks in advance GRIZZ

To make it clear, i have no problem blowing up Tanks/Trucks/Trains and other things made of metal but i am unable to get a seeker head lock on buildings/bunkers and oil tanks. I do not know If i have mis understood something about the RB 75T and its ability to blow up bunkers and stuff…. But i would be glad if you could give me advice or tell me what i am doing wrong. Thanks in advance GRIZZ

Please Correct me if im wrong, but as i have understood we can use the 75T (heavy) not only for blowing up tanks and anything with wheels on but also for bunker and bridge busting. My question is, how do i deploy/lock on to Bridges/bunkers/houses and other things i may encounter following a river down to its estuary. Thanks in advance GRIZZ

What i wanted to say that if you use the Track Clip Pro you have to make sure you have it turned the right way around, so that the longest of the 3 IR emitters is placed at the bottom. If it is turned by 90 degrees you will have exactly the behavior you described. Plus be sure to activate the "TrackClipPro" button on the software setup screen.

Are you using track clip or track clip pro on your trackIR ?

So to put it short: Jump into the seat, have a look around ...… and then…... 1. Learn to start up, taxi and takeoff 2. Learn how to stay airborne, climb, dive, turn and last but not least learn how to land 3. Learn to read the instruments in front of you and what they tell you 4. Learn to navigate ( i recommend setting up simple waypoint missions in the mission editor ) 5. Learn how to use your weapon systems one by one using all the knobs, switches and screens at your disposal In all this Youtube and this forum will be your friend. A few words in the search function window will guide you to the relevant topic (relatively) fast and remember there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers :pilotfly:

I have the same problem building a mission for my Viggen with ramp start at Nellis i am unable to get in contact with ATC. Looking at the Kneeboard does not help cause most airbases, including Nellis are no longer listed in the Airbase Menu. The same goes for Hormuz most airbases are no longer on the Kneeboard. Caucasus, on the other hand has all bases listed and ATC works just fine. GRIZZ

Well i got to this page clicking on the link in the DCS startup screen and if you read carefully you will notice the last line stating the discount will last until October 1st 2018,i got my 20$ discount right away when i bought the F-18 in the "special offers" section today. Following the link to this offer on the DCS startup screen i end up in the E-shop "special offer" section. There is a Helicopter bundle offer and some other offers, but no "F/A-18C Hornet and Persian Gulf Map Discounts" offer. That said i already have the PG map but a 20$ discount on the F-18 would suit me well. Am i doing something wrong here ? Cheers GRIZZ
