I use the Zalman 9500 here. Idle is mid to high 20's and full dual core load upper 30's. This is on a dual core 170 that runs stock at 2.0Ghz and I have it overclocked to 2.9Ghz. It is quiet also. Great cooler for air.

I noticed you have an extreme edition. It is not low latency you are after but high Mhz ram you want. You can then increase your frontside bus since the extreme edition is unlocked. Look for OCZ Gold edition ram or equivilant.

I looked at video but the head movement doesn't seem as smooth as LOMAC. I must be missing something.

Try F9 with TrackIR. I think that is the key. It toggles view lock.

Any word on what said patch might fix? I see it has been asked already but have not found a reply. I agree it is out when it is out and keep it at that but what problems will it remedy? :confused:

It will uninstall all links to 1.02 and install new ones for 1.1. Since 1.02 will no longer be there because it is now 1.1. Unless you have another install of 1.02 so you can play with those who have not yet upgraded. If that is the case do not uninstall those links and after install of 1.1 is complete you may need to make sure the old links still point to your other install. Is that confusing enough or did I even answer your question? :confused:

I wondered this myself not long ago. I have always been told to set it to half your ram. So in your case 512Mb. I tried different settings and had no change in FPS however. :icon_frow

Background programs I assume you regularly check for malware with something like "SpyBot". If not do so. I like to use "FSAutostart" to launch LOMAC. It is a nifty little app that allows you to shut off all non-needed processes on the computer just before it launches LOMAC for you. Hope this helps :)
