  1. Hello All, I have just fitted a Trak Racer four-point seat harness to my home cockpit chair and I absolutely love it. Decent bit of additional immersion for $90. I got to wondering how many fellow aviators have a similar item fitted? If so, why? If not, why not? Is it going too far? My good wife certainly thinks so !! Sanity check required !
  2. Before you spend any money on the latest CPU have a look at some of the content relating to 13th and 14th Gen Intel CPUs on YouTube. Jay at JayzTwoCents; Steve at Gamers Nexus. Those lads in California are ignored at your peril. Soz, just read all the topic, still worth a look at the lads on YouTube.
  3. Thanks all for kind responses, giving some necessary perspective.
  4. Fellow Aviators, Knuckling down to RgTFM, specifically the A-10C II Navigation Chapter. It is hard going. The complexity of the A-10 is a given, ED have built a masterpiece. But this part of the manual is not user-friendly and is not a teaching aid, it is a reference tool only. It logically describes operation of the system: do this, this happens etc.; to do this, do this etc. However there is no contextualisation of the processes described. So it very quickly descends into a maelstrom of Steer Points, Waypoints, SPIs, SOIs, CDU, AAP etc. Students will have to look elsewhere for teaching. Don't expect it from this manual. I can liken it to reading a chess manual written by a chess grandmaster, rather than a teacher. To newcomers it is inaccessible. I will visit Chuck's Guide to help with this area of learning. But for the moment we have a necessarily complex and brilliant aircraft, an unnecessarily complex manual, and a very simple concept of mission navigation that is completely lost in this part of the manual. Otherwise ED's created DCS World is one of community and genius that deserves all of your free time !!
  5. Flickering and partial menus in Instant Action / A-10C II / Free Flight / Caucasus following latest update. Using 3x 4k monitors. Continuing into flight aircraft immediately spins to left and requires usual trim inputs to stabilize. Task Manager required to leave game. Thanks to Papa1 GUI to scale 1 problem goes away. Pls disregard aircraft issue a glitch in my jstick set up ..... I lost the adjusted dead spot ........all now good landed safely.
