  1. I doubt it this is trim problem for him. Sounds more like a problem with the sensitivity in the pitch axis of the joystick. Like stated, increase the dead zone on the joystick and see if it gets better for when you're barely touching it. Then for the pitch itself, check the sensitivity settings for the joystick in the windows gamecontrollers panel and then check the settings in-game. If the deadzone increase did help and all your sensitivities are correct it might be that your inner components of the joystick have worn out a bit.
  2. As to where; here on the forums you'll find the announcement and the download can probably be found on the website. Where else? (apart from mirrors) ;) It's not like we have a secret underground download section here.
  3. I find profiles very personal. What works for one doesn't neccessarily work for others, so I always do my own profiles. I could send you my X-52 one, but you might not like my setup. In fact, it's still evolving as I find better/more comfortable ways to program it.
  4. So with ARMA 2 being developed by Bohemia (just like Flashpoint and ARMA 1) is Flashpoint 2 being developed by a different developer? How does Flashpoint 2 differ? Wasn't ARMA supposed to be the evolved Operation Flashpoint?
  5. Wow, that sounds like some serious paranoia! ;) Just kidding. I do agree about the 'supporting the devs' part, though. @Henk; well it all depends on who you're talking to, I guess. But yes, in general, dynabyte seems to make a good impression of knowing about the stuff they sell.
  6. :) I don't know. For the X-52 and X-52 Pro time will tell, because they haven't been around that long yet. I've heard people people still going strong with their Saitek X-36 though, which is around 10 years old.
  7. Yes you are correct, but also understand that while we might see RTFM as a ironic way to say to read the manual first, it can come across as rather rude to someone who's less familiar with the term and only knows it stands for: Read The F*cking Manual That one word makes it sound rude to a newcomer. It's like you're immediately told off for something you do not know was incorrect. On the other hand, I do fully agree that people should at least make some effort in finding out stuff before going to the forums and start to spam it with questions that have been answered already several times. It's all in the way its being presented, IMO.
  8. While I think your support is nice you do forget the non-us based playerbase. If I would order at GoGamer I would be spending loads of cash on shipping alone. And that's assuming they would ship to Europe at all. I do like the effort to support the supporters though!
  9. Well Innobec said that is had been the plan, but they just haven't got around to it yet and they doubt they will anytime soon. The worst part is that I don't know of any substitute for SW.
  10. Well there are new sounds, new Leo model, new M1 model, added vehicles, new smoke and dust effects, new artillery effects, to name some. I haven't seen anything about new buildings, but in the esthetical department there's lots of new things to play with.
  11. :D I bet most of us have tried this one already... probably with varying results! ;) ("Oh dear, I didn't know you were into her? What about a 3-some?") See? That would still not solve the problem.
  12. Sometimes the problems are in the little overlooked details and because I haven't seen it mentioned here yet; make sure you select TrackClip Pro as the tracking method in the TrackIR software if you're using the clip. Otherwise the response is rather jerky and erratic. Oh and if you updated the software be sure to re-check all the settings. Mine erased all after the update (probably my own fault). Just to be sure. :)
  13. With my x1950pro I talked about earlier I had no problems with most games, only a few would give me the atixxx.dll errors. I had no trouble with heat, nor PSU either. If those two things check out well on your system, then maybe its just some inconsistency in the ATi drivers which generate trouble with a given system setup/game. What else is there left to research after you confirmed the GPU temp remains ok as well?
  14. You really have to have your feet under control. :) The slightest movement on my CH Pedals results in significant yaw making it hard to stay with the reticle on where I want to shoot. I wonder if the real KA-50 pilots spam the trim when they are enaging ground targets to keep updating the trim system to keep it steady at what they're pointing at?
  15. If Innobec makes SideWindow compatible with Windows Vista I could finally use my PDA as a touchscreen for TB. :joystick: Not going to happen anytime soon, I am afraid. I'd like to chime in on the statement why people want to fly without all the gadgets; Money. Pure money ("oh and uhm..." -"yeah...." "the w.f." -"what?" "the wife..." :helpsmilie:). I cannot just spend the cash on all my so-called gaming 'needs' and buy three monitors, a touchscreen and whatnot. I would start an outright war here at home! A good HOTAS, pedals and TIR are all pretty basic, but there's just something 'overkillish' about going for 3 monitors, a touchscreen, buttkicker seat and whatnot. Don't get me wrong; for ME it is in my current situation. I would probably get laughed at so hard, here at home, if I even dare to mention I would love to get a setup like that. TBH though, I do envy all of you having a dedicated sim room at home with all the bells and whistles. :D
  16. Did the server work out, Yoti? If so rep's inbound! ;)
  17. Why would a video of the real thing be any different than footage of in-game action, regarding music? The easiest way to make a BS movie is already stated in an earlier post in this thread.
  18. You won't regret it! Welcome the club! :D
  19. Impressive! Although I would start a serious fight with the lady if I even tried to mention a setup like that! ;P
  20. It might not be the devs fault, nor the publisher's. It might be the stores themselves just don't think they would sell enough units to carry it. Dynabyte has a tendency of carrying titles you don't find easily elsewhere, though. ;)
  21. If you remain that obscure about it, we indeed start to think its a fetish... :P
  22. Yeah it says out of stock, but that's for the webshop. I've come across other games that said out of stock online, but were in stock in my local dynabyte shop. Be sure to call em first before you go. Otherwise SimWare is your best bet!
  23. I think the point has already been made several times. No need to jump on anyone's back after a full day still. ;) Glad you ended with a warm welcome, though! Great job! :D Afterall we don't want to push away people; we need more cannon fodder! *grin*
  24. I know for a fact that x-feed valves are default in the off position for two civil aircraft; Boeing 737 and Fokker 50 (I fly and have flown them) An educated guess then tells me the x-feed should be off in the KA-50 upon cold start as well, but I might be jumping conclusions because of other info I lack. Anyway, why would you go through the hassle of editing some file if the cold and dark cockpit situation is already in-game? I think you're after a random switch position mod to simulate, for example, a maintenance guy forgetting a few switches, right? Just fly through the cockpit and flick a few then, before you start! ;) Just kidding.
  25. The hard part is to figure out wether is has a contant power output or just a max power output with fluctuating power average. But that should be in the manual at the specifications table. If its the latter I would invest in a steady power unit.
