Man what happened I’m doing well, thank you. I work in a repair station for civilian aviation components, so I’m still working right now. The only thing I’ve done in SimAppPro is to turn down the backlighting. I HAVE been doing some work in Joystick Gremlin to help with the throttle, such as adding single press/release to some toggles, simulating opening the GEN TIE cover, and simulating the antenna knob on the F-16. I’ve recently added a Razer Tartarus Pro to my setup, strapping it to a kneeboard on my left side. I plan on using it to manage the kneeboard and view control, so I can cut down on the use of modifiers in DCS. I won’t mind posting my JG file once I get some of this straightened out. What complicates matters is creating this while accounting for six different stick grips (TM A-10C, TM F/A-18C, VPC WarBRD, VPC VFX, VPC T-50CM2, and RealSimulator F-16SGRH CE). Man what happened The side console in my cockpit has two 1x2 wood cross beams covered in velcro near the top, and another at the bottom. There are strips also underneath the WW switch panel and on the very bottom of the throttle, and this is enough to hold the whole thing in place. EDIT: I’ll see about removing the top plate and getting a picture of how it’s mounted when I get home from work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Limited utility for those of us in VR, but I’m tempted. Especially because of how far you knocked the throttle out of the park. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I suspect you’ll get plenty of enjoyment out of that throttle. I also have a T-50CM (the third version, first with analog slew) and a T-50 (five way hats, second version). Both are fine units but the lack of analog slew kills the T-50 for me. The main selling points of the WW over VPC for me are the long travel and the finger lifts, plus the Hornet replica grips. I’ve managed to get workable maps for the WW throttle on the A-10A, A-10C, AV-8B, F-5E, F-14B, F-15C, F-16C, and the F/A-18C. I’ve had to be a little creative in compensating for some analog axes and levers that the WW doesn’t have, but it’s workable. At some point soon, once I’ve refined them, I’ll post the kneeboard pages I created to reference my HOTAS mappings. I created the kneeboards in PowerPoint then ran them through Kneeboard Builder to get the formatting correct. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have had no problems whatsoever, and was a day one customer. :)

Man what happened I can’t dig it up right now because I’m on my phone, but I wrote an extensive post reviewing the throttle a few months back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk EDIT: Found it. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4159938&postcount=35

PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller
RogueSqdn replied to MilesD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
False alarm... my issue is that I was for instance, right clicking on a switch in the A-10C cockpit, and expecting the switch to move upward, but instead got a downward motion. This appears to be an issue with the module and not with PointCTRL. I don't know of a way to fix the behavior of those switches, except to possibly dig into the clickabledata.lua file for the A-10C. That's way above my capability, though I'm tempted to try. ;) FWIW, Miles, I'm not having any issue with the keystrokes, except that if I depend on Voiceattack to capture the "O" key, I can't type that key manually on the keyboard anymore. I'll have to dig into Voiceattack settings and see if I can change that. EDIT: It's on page 20 of the Voiceattack manual, "Do not allow key to be passed through." Combining this with only sending the eject command to the DCS application means I'll only get "LCTL e e e" in DCS and not in Windows when I type "O."- 3421 replies

I’ll check the new version when I get home, but I’ve experienced issues with left and right click getting mixed up in the A-10C. Need to check with regular mouse to narrow down the problem though. I’ll let you know how it goes. [emoji106] on helping out medical needs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 3421 replies

New VR Pointing Device Got mine mounted up but geometry seems a bit off in VR. I can reach for the F-14 tailhook and my hand is still in midair. I’ll do some more experimenting, but I’m not optimistic. EDIT: Yep, angles all wrong. I’ve come to the conclusion this isn’t worth the effort, particularly with multiple airframes. More power to you if it works for you, though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 3421 replies

Well I haven’t gotten the chance to actually use it yet, but for me the idea is to give my arm something to rest against. I had a major rotator cuff surgery a few years back and my right arm gets very weak if I have to hold it out away from me for very long. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 3421 replies

No, I don’t use macros at all. The one on the tray stays there for when I need to do general typing or gaming other than simming. The ones on the sides are just in case I need them during VR. The one on the right is stationary and wire is clamped down, but the wire for the left side runs inside the left console and I can pull it up to my lap if need be. Left - Razer Huntsman Center - Razer Huntsman Elite Right - Logitech G513 All have clicky switches and the Razers have the PBT keycap upgrades. The mouse is a Razer Basilisk Ultimate. I originally wanted to use three regular Huntsmans, but Synapse wouldn’t let me change the backlighting on the other two. So I settled for picking up an elite for the center, putting the old Huntsman on the left, and using an old G513 on the right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 3421 replies

PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller

New VR Pointing Device Had some 1/4 plywood in the garage, along with a few cabinet hinges, and whipped this up. Just have to figure out how to mount it to my rolling keyboard tray (and be easily removable), then sand and paint. I also may build an ICP mount that sticks out a bit, depending on how this performs in VR (I haven’t had time to test this yet). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 3421 replies

I haven’t seen anything glove-wise that is actually operational. That said, PointCTRL doesn’t require any overhead software or drivers (only a one-time calibration) and works with the built-in mouse functionality in DCS. Miles is also very responsive to questions and support requests, particularly on Discord. I am VERY happy with PointCTRL... it’s made any button box or panel other than the stick and throttle obsolete. I don’t even use the switch panel with my Winwing throttle. The throttle grips are swappable, and require you to undo two screws and a cable for each. That said, no other grips have been announced. They did hint at some point about an F-16 throttle grip, but I've seen nothing concrete about it. The throttle is fantastic and is worth the money. I haven't even taken the stick out of the packaging though... I have the two TM grips and three different VPC grips, so have no desire to lose that.

I'd be careful twisting around in VR not to hit that... perhaps it's a bad spot for it. :)

Good setup! Looks a bit similar to what I've done, but I've elected not to put in a front panel because of PointCTRL, and have instead built a keyboard/mouse tray on wheels to use when necessary. The monitor is a 42" Samsung 4K TV. I didn't want to have a separate desk and the room doesn't really allow for that, considering my desk is on the other side of the room and houses my Mac.

I don't know if this is the right spot for this question, AeroGator, but since you posted here most recently, I'll ask: Any idea on when the small baseplate and the Warthog adapters will become available? Due to poor support communication from VPC, I would highly consider ordering a GFIII-L with F-14 grip, but want to be able to order that, the baseplate, and two Warthog adapters all at once.
