  1. Yes Shapeways will be expensive, but it’s a trade off. For the amount I spend on this kind of thing, it’s better than buying a printer. [emoji6] Looking forward to you releasing the new fingerlifts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I was pretty close yesterday to ordering all the parts for the original (and the radar elevation) from Shapeways but held off. Guess I made a good decision. :) This sounds perfect! When do you expect to make it available?
  3. Most of the time. At least my crease was sharp!
  4. You have NO IDEA how many cans of starch we went through with those BDUs. :megalol:
  5. My BDUs were better (this was 1999 at MacDill).
  6. Also why BDUs, ABUs, ACUs, etc can't be starched anymore. In the Air Force we'd show up like a lit Christmas tree!
  7. It would be very BAD if it dropped today. Today is my wife's birthday. :yay:
  8. Thanks for the info. I just ordered the whole kit from Shapeways. I have the new throttle on order (pending the F-14 grip release), which I should be getting next month. I currently have the version 2 throttle (with 5-way hats). I'll test this out on that throttle and let you know how it works out. Shapeways is stating an estimated ship date of October 16th, but in my experience they always come in under that.
  9. Definitely interested. Posted on the Discord but don't see any links. Is it not available yet?
  10. I've come up with an idea for the multiple aircraft with different PTTs issue. I only update VAICOM commands in the main profile. I've also created a secondary "Controls" profile that covers any miscellaneous commands I want to add, such as NVGs. I then create a separate profile for each aircraft and set the PTTs as desired. I also add commands to each aircraft to be able to switch to any other aircraft. That and the PTT commands are the only thing in those profiles (unless I add an aircraft-specific cockpit control). Lastly, I use the "Include commands from other profiles" function of VoiceAttack to add the VAICOM and Controls profiles to every aircraft profile. So when I am using VoiceAttack, the active profile is always the aircraft I'm flying, but it's pulling commands from both my Controls profile and from the VAICOM profile. This way, if I need to either update the voice command list or add a control (that's common among aircraft), I only have to do it once.
  11. Any progress on this issue? Thanks. EDIT: Came up with an idea, see new post.
  12. I'm going to ask a probably stupid question here. I don't have a 3d printer and will have to most likely use Shapeways. Am I to assume each of the mainframe parts need to be printed twice?
  13. WINWING F/A-18C HOTAS 2019.5.29 RELEASE I asked about the slew on Facebook and they said PS4 style, similar to the TWCS (which was good). The other axes (including radar elevation) are hall sensors. In a surprise to me they say the friction lever is also a hall sensor axis (I would’ve thought it just did friction). 14. Perhaps this got lost in the shuffle, but any idea of my crash when launching DCS? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4024965&postcount=934
  15. I have the second version of the throttle and the third is on order. It had been my hope that someone would come up with something like this. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. WINWING F/A-18C HOTAS 2019.5.29 RELEASE I have knee surgery at the VA on the 16th. Was hoping to have the HOTAS before then so I could build a console. If I can get a good copy of those measurements I’ll have to give it a shot. At least I can probably build the main frame to the same size as my existing one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Guess I’ll have to get an account to see those measurements. [emoji53] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. What did the Facebook page say? I don’t have an account and can’t look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. This is such a shame if it ends up this way. Please keep us updated (I have a day one order). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I am having a crash when attempting to launch DCS as well. 21. I had this discussion on Reddit with you, but thought I'd repost my comments for the OP's benefit:
  22. F18 radar elevation I’m interested, but I’d rather run the wires from it to a Bodnar board or something else, so as not to lose functionality. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Oh, it is SO worth it... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. If they fixed the Guardian resets it might be worth updating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
