  1. RED-ISH FLAG RUMBLE OK gents due to some last minute update issues with 2.0 we are switching the event to 1.5 Caucasus as several clients cannot get the NTTR to work. Mission Overview Target Area and Bullseye Red Bullseye Blue Bullseye
  2. How dare you! Actually not a bad idea.... demmit, back to the f-ing mission editor again! Alright guys last second change of Country....... We're going to Russia boys!
  3. Yes we can switch you mblackham no worries mate. The update issue is pretty annoying, it seems some users are ok and some others have problems which makes getting a call right here very difficult. To be honest I'm not sure what to do, we may have to look at rolling back updates for the event :(
  4. GCI now added to the AWACS missions using CA. You must be on the 104th Teamspeak server if you are in any of the Forward Observer slots. Any clients found in the FO slots without being on teamspeak will be kicked from the server! Please let us know if you see any problems!
  5. It was working a short while ago but we had to turn off exports while we look further into some exploits that can be done by having the exports enabled. Sadly a small number of clients ruin this for the majority as they seek to find ways to cheat the Integrity Check to gain an advantage, so I'm afraid for now exports will all be turned OFF till we find a solution. No, as Winchester pointed out the only Invincible aircraft are the tankers, this is done purely to avoid losing tankers from new refuellers who did not practice offline first and end up colliding with the tanker. Not really, we have it running most of the time but not a lot of people use it in our server, its mainly Teamspeak. As mentioned above we have turned off all exports for now while we spend some time looking into ways it can be exploited, hopefully we can turn them on in the near future for you guys as I imagine that seat gives a some enjoyable immersion! Sorry in the meantime :(
  6. The event is tomorrow (Saturday) at 18:00z www.zulutime.net Great initiative by the 51st! All RED pilots should try and make it onto the 51st Teamspeak server (51st.hopto.org) tonight at 20:00z. Sadly I have to work tonight so will not be able to set up a blue brief until tomorrow, unless someone else from Blue wants to organise one on the 104th teamspeak tonight? edit: Another reminder guys! The event will be hosted on the latest version of NTTR DCS 2.0.5.3140 Update 2 - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3082627#post3082627 PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE TODAY AND HAVE A QUICK TEST FLIGHT TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS WORKING DO NOT LEAVE IT TILL THE LAST MINUTE TOMORROW
  7. Nice! Glad you're enjoying them, I was hoping it would breathe new life into the Flanker pilots on the server :D Now all of our missions except two have the AWACS added! Look out for CA being added to the server for GCI tonight or tomorrow depending on if I get the time today, should make things even more intense! :pilotfly:
  8. Please read the mission briefing, the mission you flew on was East vs West, the Gazelle is only available on Blue in that mission. On the non East vs West missions its on the Red Side
  9. Hi Guys, Sorry for the delay in posting the mission. We've had some issues across the community with the latest 2.0 updates so we have chosen to switch the event over to 1.5 for this month. 11. SARH Sunday returns for tomorrow the 12th of March. No AMRAAMS or R-77 all day across all our missions!
  12. Launching a new series on my channel called SARH Street that will showcase some of my Aim7 and Aim9 kills flying online and also give out tips about the tactics I'm using and what I am doing with the aircraft.
  13. Totally agree here, this behaviour should not happen if there is limiters in the real aircraft. #FlankerLivesMatter
  14. Just the AI for now, we will be testing CA slots for GCI in the next week or so again to see if there is any improvements from the last time we tested it.
  15. Great to hear! Look out for more missions getting AWACS added over the next few days! This should help keep the intensity up!
  16. Not true, however you are correct about having a visual table to help with visually IDing aircraft, its something I am working on at present. You can at least be 80-90% sure... be on teamspeak with the other pilots flying in the TA, ask questions in the MP chat, read the mission briefing so you have an idea of where the enemy is coming from and where friendlies are coming from... all things that I do / have done when flying A2G in our server. Obviously without a radar there is always going to be some guess work factored in however its not impossible to IFF and certainly not acceptable for anyone to just start shooting at the first fast jet they see. No fast jet pilot worth his salt is going to overshoot an enemy Striker without firing first, you'll know he is an enemy if he's locking you and has fired at you! If he has locked you and flown past and is not shooting at you or anyone else then there is no reason to suspect him of being an enemy. More than likely a new player to the sim who doesn't know its just bad beans to be scaring A2G pilots like that. Exactly what you should be doing! Its not hard at all to quickly ask if there is any friendly fighters in the TA.. also if you see a fighter in the TA and he is not engaging you or anyone else then that is a dead give away that he is not an enemy. Even if he has locked you up constantly for a while, if he has flown right up to you and hasn't fired ... sometimes you have to use some common sense. My problem with what BN is saying is his apparent refusal to even bother trying to IFF and instead just saying these suggestions are 'idealistic'. I have flown A2G in our server for 100s of hours so I am no stranger to the challenges you guys face and I know first hand that IFF without radar is 100% possible, as I mentioned I also fly a lot in the Gazelle that has the same tools as the A-10C for IFF.. nothing apart from a RWR and I still manage not to kill any friendlies despite actually being where all the fighters are in heavy air to air airspace. The bottom line is even if it ends up costing you your virtual life, if you are not sure ... you do not fire! I've got a list a mile long of things I need to do however I will make the aircraft ID table a top priority for this week and do my best to standardise all the aircraft skins across our missions and post up some tables to help you guys out.
  17. There is nothing "totally absurd" about mixing aircraft on both sides, our server has been set up like this for years and most people who fly on the server do not have a problem with it, if you don't like the set up go and fly somewhere else, we don't force you to fly in our server. If I can IFF in a HELICOPTER you can do it in an A-10, trying to justify teamkilling people just because aircraft are on both sides is stupid. There is more to Situational Awareness than just reading your RWR and firing on the first aircraft you see because it 'might' be a bandit. I have never once teamkilled anyone in a Gazelle and I have over 50 air to air kills in it! There is also nothing "idealistic" about holding fire until you have IFF this is what you should be doing in all cases, you only fire on another aircraft if you are 100% sure its an enemy, not doing so will get you banned. A-10C or not, teamkillers get removed from our server, you have been warned!
  18. The AMRAAM B is just as deadly as the Charlie in DCS, there is not a lot between them at all. Thats why most missions without the C remove the B also, the difference really is tiny.
  19. Today on the 104th Server is SARH Sunday! No AMRAAMS all day until approx 00:00z Missions in rotation will be Operation Armageddon SARH, Operation Able Archer SARH, Operation Leopard SARH, Operation Firesheld SARH and Operations Bison and Backfire All SARH missions will be Aim7, vs R27R and R27T, Operation Bison will continue to be Aim7 vs R27ER, Operation Backfire will also be Aim7 vs R27R and R27T. There are no restrictions for the Mirage2000.
  20. Not for this round however we are planning to do a test with Combined Arms as GCI before the event to see if that works.
  21. When I came up with the idea for this event I sat down with one our Squadron members who knows both aircraft much better than I do and discussed weapon load outs, as you know I am no expert in either the F5E or the Mig21. I told him that I wanted to create a BFM event that was as balanced as possible and asked his input on what missiles we should use and we then settled on heaters only. After reading through all your comments on Facebook you correctly pointed out that I do not know all the nuances of the missiles of both aircraft. The simple truth is I was under the impression that the Aim9P5 was a rear aspect missile only, after watching your video I am now better informed and happy to be corrected.... this is the only reason the missile was left out, there is no other agenda. We will add the R3R for you guys and stick with a limitation on the number of missiles allowed to be carried. I hope there is no more confusion :) Edit: Also Lazy while we are sorting out the weapons, can you make any suggestions for Air to Ground weapon restrictions for the Mig21? What I intended was for all targets to be engaged by rockets except Tanks that could only be killed by bombs, because as far as I know the F5 doesn't have any rockets powerful enough to kill tanks.... what do you think?
  22. Because its a BFM COMPETITION, read the damn event description before you go on some random rant next time! You're more than welcome to attend mate, I will sign you up. Guys this event was set up for people to have FUN... it's not designed for the Realism warriors to take it super seriously! There are no prizes, no awards and no rankings... this is purely about spreading our PvP events to other aircraft and having fun in the process. We will consider adding the R-3R missile in as we do not want to be perceived as favouring one aircraft over another.... as I said, this event is about having fun, which is why it's important to us that it is as balanced as possible, and I'm sorry but with the F-5 only being able to carry two missiles I totally disagree that it's fine for us to allow the Mig21 to go up with eight!
