  1. I'm following this thread with great interest ! Thank you Wali763 for your contribution and guide ! In the past a friend of mine got DCS working under Linux ( Arch) initially. After a few weeks though something broke and he could not continue. So I'm very interested in long term feedback......how much effort is it to keep it working ? I'm wondering also about HOTAS compatibility ....does anybody have experience to share with WinWing HOTAS under Linux ?
  2. I also remember bad performance on this map flying low level over inland portions....... ....I was of the impression that is was even worse than modern day Marianas. I have 64 Gb of RAM and 5060 Ti 16GB VRAM .....maybe that helps to know , because VRAM alone does not seem to be the limiting factor here. ( for example I can run Cold War Germany Map flying over Berlin just fine ....)
  3. Looks super high quality ! Great job !
  4. DCS in VR is the only reason I'm still running Windows on the flight simming rig. I'd love to switch that over to linux........
  5. I'm wondering, is there a way to calculate the right view parameters in DCS based on monitor size and distance to achieve the natural 52.5 ft. @ 1,000 ft./1° of angle view ?
  6. Wow ! Looks great ! Does anyone know any news ? Hellcat this year ? Last thing I remember was Wags saying " looking good for later this year "....or something along those lines.....
  7. I'm quite confident CommandT is going to make at least another video when v1.2 drops .
  8. Visually I am very happy with the new Marianas WWII map ! Thanks ED ! really immersive ! Initial impressions seem to indicate dropping FPS quite a lot when flying low and over the trees......
  9. Thank you Qcumber for the valuable info !
  10. I would love to see this fixed in DCS.
  11. I'm really excited about the Corsair ! Great news ! By the looks of it....might be only two weeks away ! Also I did expect to see the Hellcat first....... I have a question though : can we expect a fully functional carrier recovery on early access launch ? (wires, hooks etc ...)
