Okay before I discuss this I have to acknowledge that the thread I posted in the Russian forums about that skin got deleted. I don't speak the language and I got the idea from a native-speaking friend on another board. I have no idea if it was my skin or the discussion that got it deleted...but at this point I'll assume it was the discussion since the same pics are posted here and this thread is still up....with that said this explains what it is, but i think you have to speak the language to really "get" it. "The Final Countdown" is a good movie and has some great footage of tomcats, corsairs, intruders....and zeroes! I bought Speed & Angels which follows two of the last JOs to train in the F-14. Very good flick with beautiful aerial photography. http://www.speedandangels.com/ There was a TV show called "American Fighter Pilot" that followed 3 pilots through F-15 training...I didn't like the way the show was edited, but there was som excellent footage in there...

I made the skins. I have sent the files to ThomasDW and he should have them up at lockonfiles today or tommorrow. I will post a link when they are up. :thumbup:

I decided to do a fresh install of LO:FC...there were two entries in the add/remove programs dialog....one for LO and one for FC...I decided to uninstall in the order I installed...I uninstalled FC...Now I can't uninstall LO...I get this error message: I can't reinstall until I uninstall...any help appreciated! **EDIT** I deleted the old entries from the registry...then the disc let me remove old components...fresh install underway... :D

Ok, I am working on some skins, and I decided to add some nose art. I want to use Cyrillic language for the text. I had an idea for one and got a translation(which I hope is right and makes sense), but I need another slogan! I've seen some real WWII-era slogans like "Death to Fascistic Invaders!!!", but I am looking for something more modern...maybe even vulgar. A slogan that would only be on an aircraft in time of war when restrictions on such things would be lax. A short phrase that expresses Russian dark humor or maybe a sense of being resigned to your fate, but making the best of it or I don't know what. Like we have sayings like "FUBAR"..."SNAFU" etc... I realize I'm not being very specific, but I hope you get what I'm looking for? any help appreciated!

So the file name is nomera-red.tga? Same dimensions as nomera.tga?

Can anyone tell me how one or more skins can still have the stock on-board number displayed on the skin when there is a blank nomera.tga file in the temptextures folder?
