  1. The NLR Boeing setup wasn't really designed for the equipment you're trying to mount. AFAIK It doesn't have a mounting for the collective, and the stick center mount is for a stock warthog without any extension, as you cannot lower it enough for a long extension. Main reason I ended up going with Simfab (which has mounting for practically everything). You're probably going to have to undergo some fabrication and/or modifications to get those to fit correctly unfortunately
  2. Any chance of making F14 RIO panels in the future? Would love to see a CAP panel with working message indicator drum. Tek Creations has a nice one, but I don't like the idea of having inserts you must change out. Even if it was just a dial connected to the drum you have to spin manually to match the category selector would still be cool
  3. I considered the nlr boeing for a long time, but came across this instead and couldnt be happier https://simfab.com/flight-sim/ The problem with the boeing is the mounting options, if you want a center stick with an extension, you're going to have to modify it, as it seems it only supports a center stick on a raised mounting platform, which is less than ideal. I think when they designed it they only considered people using a stock warthog. The simfab is brilliant, it supports just about anything on the market, with included hardware for a variety of different manufacturers. I use a gunfighter center mounted with a 200mm extension, a real sim fssb on the side, virpil collective, warthog throttle, and mfg crosswind rudders, and it mounts all perfectly right out of the box. Its modular too with different attachments that support just about anything you can throw at it. It doesn't look as cool as the boeing, but you can tell the people who designed it are flight sim enthusiasts who put a lot of thought into its design.
  4. I vote for dualsense. You get a mouse trackpad, built in mic, and gyro. You can map look around to the gyro, and combined with the trackpad you can have nearly full control of the cockpit. Definitely get some stick extensions, and I prefer to use dampeners as well. Some people call dampeners a gimmick, however I prefer the extra resistance it adds to the throw. If you really want to get serious, go with the dualsense edge. Most notably for the removable thumbsticks. What i did was modify one to not recenter by removing the spring, and by gluing the x axis i now have a nice throttle module. When I want to go back to a regular stick i just swap it out. You also get the 2 back paddles, which I use for weapon deployment. As for precision, they're on par with anything out there, not perfect but its not misleading like how some manufacturers add an inner and outer deadzone to make it appear its bloody perfect, which it is not. Also Gullikit is supposed to be realeasing some hall effect modules for it as well. Anyway good luck in your journey friend

  6. Thank you for this! Unfortunately it looks like the problem will be the connectors that will make it incompatible. Oh well too bad.
  7. Hi everyone, I'm curious as to whether the Warbrd-d uses the same case as the standard Warbrd. The idea being that I have a standard Warbrd already mounted exactly how I want it, and it would be great if I could just drop the internals from a Warbrd-d into the old Warbrd case without having to remount anything. Thanks for any info!
  8. Yeah nvm if it's only related to virpil. I have a warbird, but seems as though the warthog is fine so disregard
  9. I dont understand this post. I was just giving the OP another thumbs up to the solution that sea2sky and millions of others have suggested, by binding mouse buttons to the hotas and then simply looking at what you want to press. I think maybe I missed something...
  10. This hands down. I have no idea why more people dont utilize this technique.
  11. Dantooine is too remote to make an effective demonstration
  12. Sold! Thanks guys!
  13. I have a warthog "magnetic" base that needs a good home. $10 plus shipping (I'm in USA). It's been opened up and re-greased with marine grease. Nothing wrong with it, but I replaced it with a Warbird and realsim r3 base(s) so its sitting around now (was using it for f14 rio). Anyway, the only stipulation is that it goes to someone who regularly flies, in a wing (virtually of course), and will appreciate it. I'm not here to give it away to some jerk that's going to put it on ebay tomorrow for 10x the price, I can do that myself. It must go to someone genuinely looking to continue their virtual flying career, hence the ridiculous price. I also have a set of TFRP rudder pedals if anyone is interested. Same deal. And whomever buys these must go up on a flight together with me once they get 'em setup, I dont care the skill level, just love to fly.
  14. VKB gladiator nxt + CH pro throttle. its going to put you a little over budget, but the stick is well worth it, you'll probably keep it your whole career. Later u can upgrade the throttle. Or as previsouly mentionted CH fighterstick is a great choice, especially how easy it is to do the rubber band mod trick to increase the tension if its too soft.
  15. Thanks for the response Mover! However I'm still curious as to what u mean by "time to get their systems setup", and "(vs eating up range head on)" . Was the previous style of head on merges not enough time for people to "get their systems setup"? And is a head on merge at equal co alt and airspeed not conducive to some proper BFM/DACT training procedure? Just curious if head on merges are not a part of typical IRL training
