Logitech Extreme 3d Pro

Working with some one last evening with one of these, he noticed one of the modifiers is a toggle?. Bare in mind with my ignorant suggestion, I have not one of these sticks, and looks that I'll not be getting one neither. It seems to do DX codes only, no keyboard keys configuration. I just recalled, if you assign a button to a "Hotas" switch, it may require press and hold, the "Hotas" buttons are molded in DCS to function like the real buttons, this keeps people from having to make macro's to simulate Press and Hold. "hotas" switches are already this way. this stick looks to have been modeled as close to the flight manual as it could, and the manual will show you what requires press and hold, like "hotas coolie hat left long" makes the Left MFCD SOI. you could tap it all day, the SOI will not happen. -
I think they want to know what and when we think we might fly? I replied on that thread in the SimHQ, there are some rules between the Pic's. So every one bring your bibs, bumpers, floaties. I'm asking for an A10 to scratch up for Friday night and Saturday afternoon

Really nice profile here, I don’t have one, but I'm helping someone get there Extreme 3d pro to use your .LUA file, that's easy. Your file looks great all the necessary buttons seem to be well represented, the Layout looks to by the way. Good stuff. We’d like to set his radio MIC switch forward (your DX5 and DX10) assigned as the Trigger for VAC systems to start listening. VAC Systems in all its Awesomennes doesn't recognize DX codes (expected). We'd like to change the DX5 and DX10 to the "\" key. Then we can ask VAC to look for \. Is anyone here using the "Logitech Gamming Software" to program the stick? If not, any tricks for getting the stick to produce keyboard presses? If so, then we may need some drivers, or not win8, or something, at least we’d know it works for someone and its worth pursuing. I’m pretty sure “LGS” supports the DX as well and would need to be used once the stick is programed. The challenge we have is the “LGS” is not seeing the 3d pro using win8. Is there any hope to him for “Tanker, Ready Pre-contact” without reaching for the keyboard? -
NVidia Drivers Released 3/31/14 v335.23
Berndt Mangler replied to AtaliaA1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Take note of my edit, ShadowPlay Crashes Hard. I tripped over the GTX780 or I would not have upgraded beyond my GTX580, 580 works Awesome. To continue past "The Rain" in ARMAIII, I had to Drop the graphic's to nil then I was able to "get out of the rain". then I jacked them back up. this could be just an HDR issue, any one still crying "in the rain" my try ditching HDR till the "sun comes out". <note to self, you suppose they get it that most people are crashing at the part where it starts raining> -
DUDE!!!! I'm a Jeep-a-holic can we please,,,please use this in the A10C arena, I need...No..."I NEED!!!" this parked next to my A10. OHhhh...PLEASE!!!! can we make it DRIVEABLE!!!...AAAAAAaaaaa....Star on the hood too???

NVidia Drivers Released 3/31/14 v335.23
Berndt Mangler replied to AtaliaA1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
ARMAIII necessitated my reluctant upgrade to v335.23, and it fixed my crashing and seems a "GO" on DCS World also. If this info helps any... Oppss Well, the Shadowplay gives me the blue screen of death, hard crash. no workie, no likie... OK, its beta I see. I need to let some one there know, could be because I can't set any of the hotkeys or paths.. Oh well, every thing else is cool, not so sure DCS can benefit from the GTX780, but what do I know.. I mean it don't break it..:) and it did seem to fix my ARMAIII campaign crash, (not hard crash like ShadowPlay did). Some of the games don't like OC'd gpu's and my 780 is not OC'd, ARMAIII may be one that don't like it. I've not tried Multi-player, I'll try it tomorrow if I can. -
Advanced Formation Training and A/A Refueling
Berndt Mangler replied to AFAlinebacker42's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Once again Linebacker well done, I had a great time. There are many aspects of the AAR than need attention from ED, The draft right at the nozzle seems more powerful at higher speeds? My muscle memory was geared at lower speeds. I trust this is a dynamic modeled for accuracy. If so, it makes AAR from this boom all the more stupid...hahahahh.. My show was a dismal one. My training told me I was more than ready; this episode shows me where my training needs to go. This adventure was extremely useful to me. If nothing else it gave me a deadline on something I needed to get proficient at. Thank you for taking the time for us, this really helps me build questions that I didn’t know to ask… -

Berndt Mangler replied to AFAlinebacker42's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Ah, too bad, I was ready dude..hahah. No worries, I have plenty to practice on. My wingmanship is going just fine, till he frigin does his AI turns, I'm trying to use Waypoints to slow his slew rate. I got to make Tanker tell me he's turning. Any one have tips on how to make AI turn 30deg banks, and takers to warn us on turns while doing race-track? Any time up to (1800zulu), {Oopps, more like up to 0300zulu, the 31st (??2200EDST??)}. is fine with me, after this its bed time for me. you could ask me to take Monday off, I'll do it I swear. -
Not sure how I can help, but here is what I found with the kneeboard, I can't use it as the kneeboard keyboard.lua must be imported to "teach" the SIM that the kneeboard exists. This will jack up your keyboard bindings and double up others, caused great pain. I'm able to display the 2D and when not in 2D the 3D is on the knee and in the way of the CDU. I read somewhere that is being worked on??? and for now one will be up when the other isn't. I've abandoned the Knee board in favor of my nook. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121521

AIRBORN!! Wild bill... hooah

try the curve In the stick if you can, TMhog does it really well the resolution is higher, and you can switch back and forth on the fly. The DCS axis tuning for the pitch made my VVI jump when crossing the horizon, If I was on center it would just pop back and forth, I'm suggesting a math issue there as when I go 1/1, no jumping and if I use SETCUSOMCURVE in TM target script, no jumping. I use the TM script do the throttle also, I can easily shift the flat spot towards stick forward to better center the spot on 143nts(in the HUD) while the fuel door is open that is requiring a heavy trim to stick forward, a normal DCS curve that is usable puts 143 to 150 on the punchy side as its just on the edge of flat and ramping up. DCS user curves can help this, but the TM script does this also and works better.

Kneeboard 2D needs repositioned
Berndt Mangler replied to Berndt Mangler's topic in Multi-Monitor Support
I found this Kneeboard.rar from IceMaker (thank you). these files got me to see the kneeboard just where I needed it 3d also, like it or not. I read from some my stuff I found way back about how to teach DCS its key binds. <I was going to post the link to the picture in a zip from a version of the kneeboard and its buried in my hard drive some where> This is what screwed up my DCS. It changed all my binding and doubled the ones I already had. This caused unimaginable headaches, why some buttons work some time and not on others. Clearing all from all input devices resets every thing and I luckily have been keeping backups of all my bindings. this got me back up and running. I think I may have learned (not read, perhaps its assumed that I knew), that I can import only the Kneeboard stuff?? cause that was the only stuff doubled up when I tried it again. so I think all is well so far. The last and most elusive is the buried note I read from PeterP (thanks once again dude, you rock), that tells us the a10c is not going to show any updates till the ka50 is run(or somting like that). Then go back to a10c to see the changes. This rar and its contents fixed my view. The guide that I can't find to teach my bindings fixed the key bindings. I noted that I could import only the Kneeboard?? (saved me from rewriting my TMhog again). Well, I have doubled up kneeboard bindings because the bindings were already there from the fresh install. but only one set is assigned to keys, and don't seem to booger up things, but I've learned to keep a stink eye on it. I have yet to chat with PeterP and Iceman and yet they continue to help me.. they have it written some where buried in something, but its there, and there and there, ya gota read it all. again thanks for the good stuff. Crapp that was a long one again...Sorry.. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1748616#post1748616 -
Practical Suggestion for Ground Unit Damage
Berndt Mangler replied to B25Mitch's topic in DCS Wishlist
I'd like one of those man pads to be dead after one round from the a10 cannon in the stead of the 8 that trac-view tells me why he managed to survive, after the 2 CBU97s took out all the vehicles who managed to shoot me down as I stoopedly(that is a word) flew straight over.. DCS has Modeled Marcus Luttrell and gave him a manpad. ahahah. -
Derbysieger is right, I started out that way and perhaps we should, but I've sense move off these kinds of numbers as you'll find the latency gets in the way, there is a sweet spot. I just wrote this up a bit ago, perhaps it will help? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121074

Advanced Formation Training and A/A Refueling
Berndt Mangler replied to AFAlinebacker42's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I fixed my axis curves to fit all around. AAR is great, 8min from fumes to Full with 8 reconnects. I'm still working on it and my Wingman-men-ship also way better. I'm under the impression this is about the formations used to get us all on the nozzle, not so much how to "get-er-done". I am only in the last few weeks able to refuel, and I think I can help noobs get on the t_t for a few seconds, after that its practice, practice, practice. 1st Get a mission where the tanker is straight ahead and will never frigin orbit (practice that later). His path should be some 300nM long, in the Ocean where the mountain don't distract you. Make him go about 274knots speed, that's like 143knots in the HUD. (airspeed vs ground speed??? why is this?) 2nd park your self almost empty and loaded "Hollywood"(That's U.S. Army Airborne for no ruck, no weapons). I can send you my miz if you'd like. 3rd use DCS axis cures that are useless for any other flying. I started with something Ludacris like +24 for Y saturation on both pitch and yaw. my throttles were curved close to 70 or so. again useless for any thing else you'll need to be behind the Tanker ready to go. (I have less catastrophic settings on my TMHog now) 4th like the chicken showing the possum that it can be done. Prove to your self with these settings that it can done, then dial the numbers back or build your own curve. 5th take note of the fuel flow when your steady behind, I noticed about 14x100pph was my 143knots with Tanker at 8999ft going 274(in ME). I noticed 14.5 for like one second was just enough to inch me forward, and 13.5 to scoot back. That was all it took. not even a full tick mark. 6th his/her inside engines are just above my G-meter, and I don't focus on that nor the VVI, what I mean by that is watch them both at the same time. I don't know how to explain it,. Freeze the TrackIR, sit back enough that you can see just some of the tail above the cowl. I have a default zoom and position that is more useful than what is given us. this required fussing with num5, nument, num0, Alt+num0, (this is the default position and is a whole nother discussion). you might look in to the snap view pic I have in my album it will help show how to change the view. 7th practice, practice, and we know Stress is over coming the bodies basic desire to choke the living S__t out of some A__ hole who desperately needs it. "!!!!!Don't shoot Em down!!!!!". (ok, it does help to shoot him down, I can't lie) it will cost you all your points and bill you for 200. I'd hope others could add to this or school me on it, its what helped me. If you use my MIZ these numbers are what you'll see. otherwise take note of what you see on yours. -
Kneeboard 2D needs repositioned
Berndt Mangler replied to Berndt Mangler's topic in Multi-Monitor Support
Hey, I forgot (I do that a lot) The crappy pic doesn't show the left side of my display. you can't see that my cowl fits centered on the display 1. The front panel also fits perfect in display 2. my issue could be related and I need to re-arrange something that I think isn't broke. but that pic might imply, my cowl stretches from x=0 all the way to x=2520 but Not... it is centered fine 0 to 1920. This setup we see here works perfectly. only the Kneeboard is off kilter. I seem to recall it is a default location as a result of not being specifically told where to go. I don't know.. I'll try most anything...OK, I've not tried the "PhantomMonitorFIX" yet, my reading made me think this was for versions past for issues I think I don't have. I'll try it if I can Un-try it. Ooohh, yea, 'm in windowed, not full screen. I'm not on SoftTh this round, don't feel like I need it at this point.. . not sure what else needs to be know'ed (That's really a word where I'm from) -
Good day to all whom dare to read... I had this fixed before I forgot to restore my anti-virus that was a fix another issue. My whole Reload of every thing has fixed Everything, my PC runs better now that it ever has, I now only have this one little thing to fix and I can't remember how, nor can I find my notes that are buried under more notes. I recall this was easy, I simply had to change a statement in an LUA some where and change some X and Y values. I'm on DCS WORLD 1.2.7.23803 I tried to add the KNEEBOARD = statement to my Multimonitor.lua. that didn't even brake it. I just can't figure this one out on my own.. This is my monitor set-up I want this to stay as 2D, but not spilled over to the Lilliput and lower display.

AHhhoo, Geeessssee you guys are making me sick...I love this stuff. Do you all have no chores, no "honey do" lists, does every thing else require no maintenance in your houses. haahah. where do you find the time to fly it. Man!!! I just feel like an underachiever. I'm still studying the books for crying out loud... Really though, I do love seeing this. all of them are brilliant. Not one better than the other, all are a testament of what our imagination can do for the décor of our wife's living rooms... ahahahha
-
Yes absolutely, I get made fun of with what little I've done with my pit. its not really a pit, but it "my pit". and it pales in comparison, but it's mine. I really wish I could make one of these, you've made what little we put in to ours seem justifiable. "look honey, we could have one of these in the living room"... That'd be sooo cool.... Thanks for making me also not so kookoo. I've found that I really like looking at these pits/projects. I don't see your coffee cup warmer??
