The CNC has a 6' x 10' cutting surface. It's been an awesome addition to my business. www.signsnowlc.com

After many months of trying to decide what I wanted to do, I finally fired up the CNC machine. My goal is to have a versatile pit that I can use for different sims -primarily DCS A10 but I also have an F18 front panel in the works as well. The 23" acer touchscreen will work well with Helios. In a few days I will be installing my custom printed panels. Many thanks to everyone in this forum as well as the sim community and a special thanks to FLIM over at www.scsimulations.com for the awesome ACES seat files.

I'm pretty sure Flim has the seats available. Check him out over at http://www.scsimulations.com

G Monkey where in Texas are you? I'm in SW Louisiana and have a CNC router and might could do it for you.
-
Even some sign shops have large format printers. Might be an option for you as well.
-
G Monkey - you can bring the file to a place like Fedex-Kinkos and they can print them for you.

Pics coming soon Sorry guys. I'll be posting pics soon of my F18 pit progress. It's been slow going since I got my new router up and running. I've had to get out jobs that pay. Here's a pic where the "magic" will take place...:)

I've got some CNC files put together and have done some test cutting. I'll soon begin to assemble what I have and will post pics then. Thanks for the great ideas and sites

Sorry no pics yet but I'm building a super hornet pit and was wondering if there are others doing the same. If so, can you share dimensions? I've just recently installed a CNC router and hope to be able to put it to good use

I'm currently working on a F18 super hornet pit. Just curious, what are you using to make the 3D model? Thx

Awesome pit Jedi. Look to be building my pit soon using my new router. See it HERE

Very nice pit Timmay. This is what I'm looking to do myself. Thanks for the pics

Hehe. You'll be WAY ahead of the rest of us.

Very nice. Looks like you might have room for 2 seats :)
-
Hog - its also commonly referred to as Sintra material. Might also try asking for that. I own a sign center in southern USA and use it everyday.
-
Hog - you can get the PVC at most sign shops. It's a common sign making material.

Really nice pit. Are you using a CNC? I just purchased one and will be using it to create my pit soon. Here's a link to my router.

Just a reminder to take note of #4 & #5 from Wags post in the "Future Projects Road Map" Future Projects Road Map In the coming months we plan to release several new projects. While we wish to have open communications with our customers and let them know of our planned projects, please understand that plans often change due to unforeseen circumstances. The below list is a road map of our intentions and not a promise of things to come. As each product nears completion and feature lists are finalized, more details will be provided. 1- Combined Arms. This $19.99 add-on will allow A-10C, Black Shark 2, and Flaming Cliffs 3 owner to act as ground force commanders as the mission is running. Users can direct ground units, set fire missions for artillery/multiple rocket launchers, and take the role of a Joint Terminal Air Controller (JTAC). As the JTAC, players will have night vision goggles, IR pointer, laser designator, and Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR). Several other new items are still being considered. Combined Arms will work in both single player and multiplayer missions. 2- Flaming Cliffs 3. This will be a paid-for update to the Flaming Cliffs series and brings it to the same world, mission editor, AI, units, etc. as A-10C and Black Shark 2. We plan to include several upgrades to the aircraft, a resource management system, and several other new features. This will also make Flaming Cliffs online compatible with A-10C and Black Shark 2. Pricing will depend on what new features are included. 3- Nevada map. This will be a $19.99 add-on that will be compatible with A-10C, Black Shark 2, and FC3. Users that purchased the A-10C beta will get this map for free. 4- The first "DCS Flying Legends" aircraft will be released in the first half of 2012. 5- The next US fixed wing jet DCS aircraft is being worked on in parallel. For Combined Arms and the Nevada map, a single purchase will allow these add-ons to work with A-10C 1.1.1.0, Black Shark 2, and FC3. Nice pit and great info. I'm looking to use a 42-47 inch flat screen as a monitor. I'm interested to know what you found is a better solution than what you tried Thx - Deacon :pilotfly:
